Sanctuary on the Lakes - Family beach house

Sanctuary on the Lakes is a quality well built family home, with an inviting floor plan and comfortable quality furniture. Our house is located in a peaceful and sought after area of Lakes Entrance, boasting stunning views of both the North Arm and ocean. The house is spread over 3 levels, making the most of the views, space and relaxation. A quick 4 min drive to the centre of town, or a short 10 min stroll to the waters of the North Arm. Sanctuary on the Lakes features a spa bath, wood fire, spacious kitchen and living area, plus a rumpus room for the kids. To top it off there are 2 huge decks, one upstairs and the other downstairs, both featuring north arm and ocean views, whilst you sit back and relax. We are sure that a stay at Sanctuary on the Lakes will be unforgettable for all the right reasons.

During the peak season of December and January school holidays we have a 4 night minimum stay, with a maximum stay of 20 days. Allowing you plenty of time to unwind, relax and make the most of your Lakes Entrance experience.

Big house, most beds comfy, 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets were great for our family, but house needs a very good clean and a lot of maintenance

Property location was fabulous and the stay was overall very good with plenty of room for everyone. A few things to pay attention to include cleanliness of upstairs carpets, noisy frogs in the pond (swamp) outside the bedroom windows and the oven was very dirty (now clean) and took ages to heat up (perhaps include some instructions for the correct settings).

Beautiful place with awesome view
Downstair bedroom and living room smell a bit because of humidity. When we got in, the house felt like it hadn’t been stayed for a while. The carpet is stained and the house is like an old family home. However, the view was great and we can’t complain about the location and the space for 10 of us. The price is great too. The oven wasn’t working so it would have been great to know earlier.

Good for families, a few updates needed
Good for families with young kids. Safety rails on stairs and cot and high chair available. It could do with a deep clean and bug bombing. There were lots of cobwebs and most of the flyscreens had large holes in them so there were a lot of bugs. A few small updates like better pillows and fixing the oven (only some settings working) would go a long way. Great sunset views. Quick drive to town. We had a great time!

Get away over Melbourne Cup weekend.
The property was very spacious and ideal for a couple of families. The host was great to deal with and very responsive. I would have liked to have access to a vacuum cleaner while we were there for general cleaning, A few negatives to report were the light globe in the laundry did not work, the BBQ was dirty, the oven was not fully functional and the property could have been a bit cleaner.

The property was perfect except we couldn’t find the bbq and the oven had an oil spill that we cleaned up. But the views were amazing the area was quite and my family enjoyed our stay here there was plenty to do at the property and surrounding areas just wish our stay was longer thank you for the awesome holiday

Views and overall house very good we enjoyed this property and secure parking for two boats. Only minor letdown was cutlery and Oven is extremely slow to cook

House had a very musty smell on arrival and took days to clear with all the windows open. Oven didn’t work properly. Ensuite shower floor was black and carpets were grubby through out. General cleanliness of house was lacking.

Had a wonderful time, recommend this beautiful house. Just need to update cooking pots. Overall fantastic place to stay at. Kids had fun fishing out the back, there was a lake. Caught brim. Kids had a great time. Would go again.

Great property with fantastic views over the lake and surrounding hills. Nice room plans, clean and inviting, though a few items need a service - such as the spa bath and the window shutters. But overall a great stay and will happily come back.

Lisa & Bree are sister's in law. We are part of a family owned and operated dairy farm and wanted a house to escape to. We love traveling with our young families and this house is large enough for us to do it together. We love relaxing, fishing and the beach!

With its quiet location, stunning views, 4 bedrooms and 2 seperate living areas it ticked all of our boxes! We love being able to get away from the daily grind and kick back and relax looking at the stunning sunsets, whilst there is plenty of space for our young families to play!
