Our beach house was completed in October 2011 and is set in the middle of the 1st estate on the beach side of the main road in what is locally known as the Planets estate. We stayed in this house ourselves in early 2016 and when it came on the market it was just too good to resist!
It is an easy walk to the shops and entrance to the foreshore reserve which has both car and pedestrian access to the patrolled pristine waters of beach 1.

Venus Bay Attractions
Local Facilities - The General Store stocks an excellent range of supplies and serves hot food in their cafe. There are several other eateries including a bistro/bar, cafe, fish and chip shop, pizza shop and takeaway, which are open 7 days mainly during the warmer months and on all weekends (although best to check before making plans at the moment as sometimes they are impacted by staff shortages as a result of Covid).
Gas BBQ's are at several conveniently located spots if you'd like to stop for a picnic and cook your own food. There's a convenient Bicycle Track along the river between Venus Bay and Tarwin Lower, with lots of wildlife, birds and native flora to see along the way. You may even spot a wombat hole or two in our front yard, although you probably won't see the wombat as they can be a bit shy!
There are three kids play grounds in Venus Bay and one in Tarwin and the community centre offers a variety of activities for the kids over the Christmas holidays.
Boat Ramps are located at Fisherman's Jetty and Tarwin Lower. With five great surf beaches, river and estuary fishing, bush walking tracks at Point Smythe Reserve, delightful views of Anderson's Inlet and so much more, Venus Bay gives you just about anything you could ask for.
With 5 local beaches, beach 1 is patrolled during the warmer months offering that extra peace of mind for parents with young children. The Venus Bay Life saving club is at the car park of beach 1.
A farmers market is run as advertised on Sundays in Venus Bay offering fresh produce and natural products throughout the summer months.
