Ocean sounds rolling at night. Sea Views from a large deck off the dining & living. Across the road from Sharkies Beach, on Austinmer boundary, walk down the driveway, cross the road & take the secluded goat track directly to the dog-friendly beach. Or stroll along coastline to rock pools at Coledale or Austinmer Beaches then relax by the fireplace igniting with a flick of a switch.

Great beach holiday lifestyle - growing up here our kids felt like every day was a holiday. Please note the loft upstairs is sometimes used by owners to visit ailing family in the area - you can request to book both at a discounted rate however a larger bond will apply.

Just bring your beach towels, dog towels are supplied.

A great place for a holiday - we holidayed here for Christmas ourselves every year our children were growing up, as so much at your fingertips. Great Cafes currently takeout, long beach walks, rock pools, Gladstonebury Gardens great for the kids. Enjoy surfing, boogie board, or snorkelling and amazing sunsets! Then this is the place. Drive to Kiama markets, Jamberoo Water Park or walk to local Coledale Markets every 4th Sunday. Also, recommend Minamurra Rainfalls & the Kiama blowhole as a day trip!

A Wonderful home

We had a wonderful time at Lisa & Olaf’s home. They were truely fantastic hosts. Their home is beautiful and extremely clean. Everything was provided to make our stay comfortable and welcoming, even down to some welcome chocolates and a treat for the dog. Thank you Lisa & Olaf for providing a beautiful home away from home. We had a fantastic stay at Lisa and Olafs property

With gorgeous views and central location to the dog beach and eateries, we couldn’t ask for more. Thanks so much for allowing us to spend time at the beach with our dogs. We highly recommend this very cosy house with an amazing gas log fire.

Beautiful place with a great view of the ocean off the balcony

Lisa & Olaf were absolutely great with communication and assisted us swiftly as we had a last minute cancellation and needed to find accommodation within that week. Although we didn’t use all the facilities, it is the perfect getaway home for friends, families and couples. I would highly recommend visiting!! As it’s a pet friendly listing that we didn’t realise, they allowed us to bring our dog after a short few questions on short notice - he had an amazing time with a large yard to run around in and loved his doggy treat that Lisa & Olaf gave to him.

We stayed at this house the day of my wedding preparations. It was an amazing property with a spectacular view. The house was beautiful and the owners were lovely and made it very easier to organise.

Great location to recharge and refresh...for humans and dogs!

Loved our stay in this gorgeous location. Incredibly convenient - short stroll to a few beaches that allow dogs off leash. Spectacular scenery encompassing the ocean and escarpment... fantastic eateries and cute shopping surround you. Definitely visiting again - and I've never seen Miss Ally (our pet dog) so happy!

Pet-friendly family escape

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is bright, modern and was perfectly fitted out for our young family including our dog. Lisa and Olaf are excellent and communicative hosts. The place is spotless and beautifully decorated. There are lots of thoughtful touches that kept our kids entertained. The nearby dog beach was great for our pup to stretch his legs and meet the locals. My only comment would be that there is some noise from the nearby train line through the night. Overall, we look forward to staying again for a convenient escape from Sydney.

Fantastic Location

Our family attended a wedding at the Headlands Hotel, which is an easy walk from this house, it was the perfect location for us. Lisa,, has been simply outstanding to deal with, nothing was a problem. The house is simply stunning with fantastic views over the ocean, easily seeing pods of dolphins playing off the beach. We will be back. Allan.

Relaxing Beach house escape

This Beach house offers a small glimpse into the owners style, encouraging you to 'relax' and enjoy its surrounds. with comfortable beds and an amazing view it forces you to disconnect from the stressors of life. Feeding the beautiful birds that come to visit and listening to the waves in the distance. you can feel the sand between your toes, swim in the ocean across the road or visit the quaint little shops. Surrounding walks are lovely. Relax or beach hop its your choice. Found a water fall that meets the sea 'its a little touch of paradise' not known to many shhhhhhhhh.

Great house for midweek family break

Our midweek break at Sharkies was just what we wanted. Lovely, spacious and clean made for a relaxing few days. Great location, walking distance to cafes and beaches a big bonus.

My family, dog and I had a wonderful stay at this property. It is directly across the road from the beach. The house was very well presented and well equipped. The owners were very friendly and quick to respond. I would highly recommend staying here. We would happily return!

Fabulous place to unwind and relax for a little birthday staycation by the beach!

What a great place for a little birthday staycation! I stayed here with both my husband, my mum and our little cavoodle Romeo. It was a pleasant stay with a magical view from the balcony and also from the couch! Only thing I would say is it was a little challenging to heat up food etc without a microwave but we managed okay with the stove. Overall it was a great stay!

Lovely property. Great view. Convenient and comfortable.

Myself, my husband and our Golden Labrador, Charley Parker were all very happy about this choice of holiday retreat. The house is tucked back from the road so not too much noice but with a very pleasant view of the ocean. The house is airy and bright, with a spacious balcony, which is a huge plus. Kitchen is large and very clean, easy to navigate and well equipped, no microwave, but other than that fairly perfect. Two very pleasant cafes are in walking distance. The dog beach was fabulous, directly across the street. The beach walks and paths are easily navigated and beautiful. Great parking, easy access and a nice size back yard. The neighbours were lovely. A bit shout out to Lisa, who was instantly available and great to deal with. The TV was small and only had Netflix but we brought our Apple box and hooked that up so had all channels working. This is a very pleasant house, highly recommended. Thank you for sharing this excellent property with us.

Unbelievable spot

Don't bother booking anywhere else. A very comfortable house set in an amazing location, just walking distance across the road to the beach and the Headlands Hotel. The owners are lovely people who will make you feel welcome. Can't wait to go back!

Fantastic house in perfect location.

The house is in the perfect location, great size and immaculately kept by Lisa and Olaf. The backyard is fully fenced in with a tree house - perfect for both our 3 year old boy and our pooch. A fantastic getaway place only a short drive from Sydney.

Wonderful piece of serenity

We loved this wonderful clean and well equipped house, right across the beach. Watching the dolphins and whales from the deck as the sun set was unforgettable. So cozy with the big fire. All amenities were fabulous, clean and a small welcome pack took the stress out of finding my first cuppa tea. Beautiful beds and wonderful new bathroom. Very clean hotel grade linen. This place will be amazing in summer!. Lisa was very helpful with any query and has a magnificent understanding of what you may need! Can’t wait to book another getaway.

Fabulous location with everything that we needed.

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We all slept so well in the comfy beds, lulled by the ocean and had the rest we needed. Loved being able to walk across the road to hang at the ocean with our dog. Explored the local cafes, surfed, watching some epic surfing on the bigger days and rode from the house to Wollongong on the bike trail. Thank you for making the while process so easy to manage.

Why they chose this property

We love this place, every day was like a holiday raising the kids here across from a great dog friendly beach with fun surfing, and rock pools. We want you to make happy family memories here, as we have. It is time to share this gift. We grew up walking on Sundays to surf life saving days at Orcas at Austinmer Beach. We were sad to leave when relocating for work & higher education for the kids to Sydney - so have kept as a holiday home to share this special place. What we love - location - directly opposite Sharkies Beach a little bit of heaven between escarpment and sea. A non patrolled beach means it is not packed yet our puppy could come to the beach with us, rare today. Great surf - yet if we wanted a patrolled swim we could walk 10 mins along the beach to beautiful Austinmer or 5 mins to little Austi beach rockshelf for the kids to paddle in.
