Located at the heart of downtown Golden, Mountain View Suite is the perfect home away from home. This 350 sqft cozy space allows you to enjoy Golden without having to drive anywhere. Enjoy the beautiful mountain range surrounding your cabin, or take a walk along the river. All local shops, restaurants, grocery stores are a 2 minute walk away, allowing you to have the best, local experience.

The property consists of 28 other units some of which are Airbnb’s, long term, and short term rentals.

This reservation has a Super Flexible cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 14 day prior to the check in date.
A 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 14 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling from 7 to 13 days before check-in. No refunds are provided for travellers cancelling less than 7 days prior to check-in. CanadaStays Booking Fees are refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of placing your booking request.
Our house rules: not suitable for infants under 2, primary renter must be 25 or older, no smoking, no parties or events, no pets.
1. Locals must communicate with us before booking

2. No more than 4 persons in the unit. Violation will result in immediate removal of all guests without a refund

3. Each guest will respect and follow all community guidelines within the property

4. This is a self check-in property. You certify that you are willing and able to follow the instructions that are provided by through either the house manual or check-in guide. You also agree that you will not contact your host before reading your house manual

5. A $200 per day penalty will be applied if there is any form of smoking within the unit. If you must smoke, please do so outside of the unit.

6. A $50 late checkout fee will be applied if your checkout is unauthorized to be late. Checkout time is 11:00 A.M. Mountain Standard Time

7. It is agreed by you, the guest, to take responsibility for losses due to the above situations. If any broken rules lead to cancellation of the next guest, this refund is to be paid by you, the guest.

8. You agree that you, the guest, are booking in goodwill with your host, and that you will not attempt to damage your host's business because you are unhappy with the ruling or the host, in the event that you experience anything dissatisfying in regards to your stay, or if you are to lose a resolution.

Please, no parties as there are neighbours and sound travels. Please respect them as they will you.

Cute Getaway

We needed a central location for a curling bonspiel and this was great. A little off the beaten path but still convenient to get to. Inside is adorable and exactly as pictured.It was very quiet and we enjoyed our stay

Smaller than what we expected

Very small for 2 adults with luggage for a one month holiday. Had comfy bed. No laundry. Kitchen fully stocked with appliances and accessories. Bedroom very small and no table lamps. Lighting quite poor in bedroom.

Super cozy!

Stayed up here for a few days to get out of the city with my partner. There was just enough space for us and enough amenities for us to cook full meals comfortably. The bed is comfy, the couch is a pullout sectional that we turned into a movie/game corner, and the bathroom is nice. It’s really close to a lot of amenities, maybe a 10 min walk tops to the grocery, liquor store, pharmacy, etc. Definitely check out the comic/game store up the street, it has pinball! There’s an amazing bakery as well just next door to the game shop. Would absolutely stay here again if we find ourselves in Golden.

Renovated hotel room.

So this is not really a mountain cabin but renovated hotel room. There are some very run down "cabins' nearby on another property. On the upside the bathroom is lovely and the kitchen is well stocked. Its also in a safe quiet area in easy walking distance to stores. I think the cleaning could be improved as the comforter smelt. I am not sure it was washed each time. Cigerratte smoke could also be detected but I think that is because there are some senior long term residents who smoke outside.

Cozy and comfortable

Stayed here for a weekend and it had everything we needed. It's very small, and with 2 teenage boys it was a bit tight, but we were just fine. The neighbourhood seemed a little sketchy, but we had no issues. It was good for a couple of nights.

What you see is what you get. Everything was like on the picture, in good conditions and functional. Very spacey living room, good kitchen. We stayed 3 nights ran out of clean towels. So more towels would be a good thing to add. Liked the location as well. Would stay again.

The place was set up very nicely. The pictures didn’t really show the location of the property. But again for what we needed it was a great stay.

Property was very run down and old. Outside was filthy, around other horrible building and a lot of weeds. Inside, the photos make it look a lot better than it actually is, very old, stains and marks on tables and inside of door. Dust, webs, bugs and spiders around the place, tv remote barely works, wi-fi is terrible, kitchen missing a lot of useful things. Only positive was the bed was comfortable.

Taj is really a good owner, he is there for you if needed and is a really nice guy. The suite was perfect for me and my brother, we went skiing and everything needed is close in golden !

Great place to stay for the week!

Very comfortable spot to stay for the week while checking out Kicking Horse and Golden. Kitchen has plenty of things to cook with. The space was very clean. The bed and couch were very comfortable. I'd definitely come back again!

I was born and raised in Golden, BC. My family has been involved in the rental business for over 50 years from my grandparents, to my parents, and now my brother and I. There are so many hidden Gems in Golden, and my family and I wanted to show off this beautiful town to the rest of the world, while at the same time, meeting people from all over the world as this is what we truly strive for.

I currently Bartend at one of the top bars, Hudsons Canada’s Pub - Downtown locates in Calgary, Alberta. Working there for 6 years has allowed myself to continue to meet amazing people and at the same time, build great relationships which I would love to continue to do so via Airbnb! Our goal is to make our places feel like YOUR home, and not someone else’s. With that being said, should you book with us, please always leave us a suggestion on how we can improve, or how we could make your stay better!

Why they chose this property

This Specific Property is quite unique. Due to its history of being Golden's Mountain View Motel in the 1960's, we hold one of the few licenses within Town limits that legally allows short term rentals. Though there are 30 rental units on site, we take pride into renovating each and every unit as tenants move out, creating fun themed rooms such as this specific unit, or our other listed short term rentals.

The community here is amazing as it is occupied by a mixture of older adults to younger adults who all look after each other and the property, creating a safe and friendly community within the Golden Community.

This property is arguably the closest, most convenient, and most budget friendly in all of Golden/Surrounding Area's Short Term Rental market.

What makes this property unique

Being so close to all of Golden's attractions, you are able to leave your car parked and walk to where you need to go. We have taken extra measures to make sure that this unit is equipped with all cooking utensils so that you can even enjoy a great, at home experience for those inside days.
