Great comfortable house

Excellent place for the group (10) plus 4 kids ranging in age from 2 - 5. Rachel has created the house for kids with toys and games and an area for them to play. Gates at the stairs for safety too. This is our 2nd year in a row and we may be back for a 3rd.Kitchen is large and part of the great room so all can gather while the cooking takes place.Wonderful fireplace and a firepit along the stream as well. Close to Lancaster. This was our 6th year of renting a large house and this one wins.

Perfect house for large groups.

We were a group of 5 families with children ranging from 1yr-9yr. House is large enough without issues. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The play area near the kitchen was perfect for small children. Baby gates are installed on the stairs.The wood burning fireplace, with firewood provided, was amazing. As well as the firepit near the creek.The house was immaculately clean and well stocked. The host responded quickly, answered questions, and even work with me on special requests. Very polite.We will be staying here again.

Fabulous Vacation Home

This house has everything you need for an amazing vacation! There was ample sleeping space for the 18 of us in the knitting group. With two full kitchens and two gathering spaces, we didn't lack for cooking space or conversational space. The front porch was a great place to sit on the swing and listen to the birds and just relax. It went above and beyond our expectations. All of us said we would definitely stay there again!

Perfect stay for large family

We had to come into town for a funeral and found this lovely house. The host accommodated us last minute as another rental canceled on us. We have a large family (12) and were also sharing the house with another family (5). There was plenty of room for all of us. The house was clean and well suited for our large group including having games and toys for children. We came in December, and the house was decorated for Christmas complete with a tree! It made the stay seem very personal and cozy. We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace which was already set when we arrived. The hosts also had a gift basket and small gifts for the children on arrival. We would recommend this home as a home away from home.

Excellent Home for Family Reunions

Our stay at Country Hollow was a wonderful experience. We arrived to an immaculately clean home with all of the small details attended to. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all equipped with essential items. We appreciated the custom furniture and closets and the simple, yet beautiful decor. Our family made ample use of the large kitchen with plenty of dishes, glasses, mugs, silverware and cookware. It felt very personalized yet professional. The only small issue we had was with wifi and streaming, but we watch enough screens that some time off was good for everyone. Oh, also the home has plenty of activities and games for all ages from board games to toys and sports equipment. Really loved this home and property and would highly recommend to anyone considering a family gathering.

Awesome Place

This is the most beautiful and friendly place to stay, especially if you are spending family time together! We enjoyed every part of it. The indoors are fantastic with loads of amenities (we didn't even need). And the outdoors are awesome as we enjoyed the beautiful grounds and creek. Plenty of sitting areas and loads of chairs to relax on. Rachel, the owner is one amazing person! I spoke to her before our trip and while we were there. We had a water issue and she took the time to drive down one and a half hours and met a technician on site to resolve and correct the problem. That tells you more about the house than everything we enjoyed there. Thank you Rachel! It was our second time here and hope to enjoy it again in the future.

Wonderful Family Weekend!

This house was spacious and roomy for our big family of 20! Tons of games and toys for inside play are available for all age ranges, and the game room was really fun to hang out together. The great yard with a bubbling stream was a delight for the kids, and the corn hole and volleyball/badmitton sets providing hours of relaxing fun and together time. We never needed to leave! Thank you for stocking the house so well, with s'mores and wood for the firepit, coffee and all the paper products and basic necessities needed for cooking. We ALL had a great Memorial Day weekend together. Thank you for your comfortable, relaxing home!

The family voted this the best family vacation we have ever had!

We booked this beautiful house for our family reunion (as we've done several times before) to celebrate a milestone anniversary! What a wonderful location to get together from Illinois, Wisconsin, and Vermont. The home is beautiful and the surrounding area is excellent for families with kids - no lack of things to do and most of it within a 30 minute drive. Probably most unique were the quantity and variety of games, toys, and activities for the kids (from 6 to 21 years old). Everyone had special times playing with their cousins or just finding a place to sit and watch wildlife (toads & fish in the creek, deer running thru the woods, a blue heron landing in the creek) or the occasional horse & buggy go by. We will all be together again at Christmas and this vacation will be the focus of conversation then and for many gatherings in the future. Thanks to the owner for accommodating our every dream.

I didn’t feel that the house was cleaned before we arrived.

We found candy wrappers in the bedroom downstairs, a cigarette lighter in a bedroom, broken glass in a bedroom. One of the basement doors of the bedroom would not stay shut. The Internet would not work at all, which was a problem due to us having teenagers that needed to do homework. The house is beautiful however it needs To be clean better.

Beautiful Country Cabin

The house is a beautiful log cabin and it is very clean and in great condition. There was plenty of space for all of us (11 people) and the creek on the property was a fun bonus for the kids to play in and enjoy. Rachel was extremely responsive to any questions and a pleasure to deal with. We highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again.
