Minutes to beautiful Second Valley Beach

We love Second Valley so much, we decided we wanted to share our holiday home with everyone. With 4 bedrooms, 3 with QS beds and a double bunk room for the kids, everyone can rest comfortably here. The open plan lounge/dining/kitchen is perfect for entertaining with an 8 person dining table and 4 bar stools along the kitchen island providing seating for 12. The large lounge suite also provides the opportunity for everyone to enjoy time together in this space. Leading out to the undercover verandah and decking area with bbq and outdoor lounge, this is a great spot to enjoy the fabulous rural views, a relaxing drink and cool evening breezes.

The kitchen has all amenities including coffee pod machine (Aldi pods), Microwave, Convection Oven and all utensils, etc.

You will need to bring your own drinking water however as the water is provided from an underground supply.

The house is cooled by evaporative air conditioning and the lounge/dining area also has a reverse cycle cooling/heating unit for your comfort.

The master suite also provides a welcome retreat for parents with an ensuite bathroom and wall mounted tv.

BEDDING: Pillows, quilts and mattress protectors provided but please BYO Sheets and towels. Linen packages are also available for hire at guests own expense through the Second Valley Caravan Park Kiosk.

Pepper's Place is also accessibility friendly with a ramp to the front entrance suitable for wheelchairs and rollator walkers, the entire floorplan is a flat surface with no steps or stairs and the ensuite bathroom is wheelchair accessible with grab rails and a shower stool if needed (not a roll-in shower however).

With Leonards Mill (sorry currently closed for renovations) on the doorstep to Pepper's Place you can enjoy a fine dining experience as they source only local Fleurieu Peninsula produce and take in the history of this 161 year old building, or just enjoy a few local wines. (Check website for menu/prices/opening days/times).

Second Valley Beach is a 2 minute drive away with the local Second Valley Jetty Kiosk there if you have forgotten anything, or would like to enjoy a great meal from their takeaway menu.

For those who love to catch their own dinner, there is fabulous jetty fishing from the Second Valley jetty or if you're a boatie, the Wirrina Boat Ramp is just a few minutes drive away as well.

Second Valley, voted one of the best beaches in Australia, offers stunning views of the coastline and is popular for swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving where you may catch sight of the leafy sea dragon. Being only 90km South of the Adelaide CBD and between Normanville/Yankalilla and their popular cafe's and pubs including Links Lady Bay plus the Cape Jervis Ferry service to Kangaroo Island.

Pepper's Place is a fabulous holiday home where families, friends or couples can relax and enjoy all this beautiful region offers.

Winter mini getaway
Decided to go south for the winter! The scenery is dazzling in Second Valley, such a gorgeous place to be. We had a mini winter getaway of two nights and Peppers Place was a great space to house 2 adult, three teenagers. Kitchen is superbly appointed with so many utensils, cooking pans, salt, pepper, tea, coffee, foil and cling wrap and all the little extras that I usually have to add in to our packing. Bedrooms are very spacious. One hint I would advise travellers in winter is that the bedrooms get very cold (and you’ll need to bring linen) so bring proper blankets! As the kids room was linens provided I didn’t pack linen for that room but the bedding were small/thin kid size comforters and summer weight so I told my tall teen boys to sleep in their trackies and hoodies to keep warm! There is a split system in the lounge area for heating, that works well for that area. There is a ramp entrance for wheelchair/mobility aid users but I found it a bit tricky with the steep slope of the driveway. Some w/c users will need assistance. For w/c users the space inside the house is roomy but the showers are step in, they are not roll-in and it is a fixed shower head so users will need some mobility to use. There are grab rails next to the ensuite toilet and a shower stool is provided. There is ample space to wheel around the house. I would love to come back in summer as location is so close to Second Valley beach. I would return in winter with a couple of extra blankets! 🙂

Serene stay
Pepper's Place is a gem. Very peaceful and calming, particularly sitting on the deck surrounded by the beautuful trees, hills and birds - we even saw some yellow tailed black cockatoos which was very special (also on our lovely walk to the beach). The place is very clean, neat, tidy and spacious. Sandy & Les were really wonderful to communicate with - very prompt, thorough and warm. The three (of us) families who stayed there all agreed we hope we return one day.

I brought 4 generations of family to spend a few days in the beautiful Second valley. The home accommodated my frail elderly parents well who are wheelchair bound. Accommodated 6 adults and 2 children nicely. Absolutely recommend for a family get together

Wonderful stay at Pepper's Place
Our family of 3 generations had a wonderful stay at Pepper's Place over the long weekend. Our first time in Second Valley and it didn't disappoint! Sandy and Les were prompt to answer questions we had before and during our stay. Generous provisions throughout the house that have been thoughtfully planned out. Second Valley beach and jetty is beautiful, just a few minutes down the road by car. Very family friendly, with little fishies swimming around the shallow waters which the kids loved! Our kids also loved feeding and patting the horses in the paddock behind Pepper's Place. Thank you once again Sandy and Les for a wonderful stay :)

Wonderful large home with rural views
Four of us stayed at this property and we were all extremely impressed by the size, cleanliness, location, views, outdoor balcony, bedroom sizes and kitchen. We also loved the fact the home was well stocked with condiments, coffee/tea, vegemite, sugar, etc and cling wrap, alfoil, rubbish bags, plastic bags, cleaning products, tea towels, hand towels, toilet paper, etc. Loved this place and can't wait to stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The house was lovely and we really enjoyed sitting on the deck surrounded by trees and views of the hills. There are horses in the field behind the property which the kids loved seeing. The owners were lovely to speak with and helpful in answering any questions. Great Weekend
