Awesome getaway spot!

Excellent property in a great location! This cabin has it all and is in a nice location to experience the Blue Ridge area. Satellite TV, Hot Tub, Grill and picnic table (not shown in photo). Negatives: the A/C kept resetting to 77 degrees and I wasn't sure how to correct. Also, Alexa would notify us of motion detection outside by the front entrance (4 times during our last night), I'm not sure if I could disable that feature or not? There are no "views" from the cabin as it is cut into the woods, but that wasn't a deterrent for us. For summertime visitors, you are within 5 minutes of several tubing/kayaking companies. It's a 25 minute drive to the Swinging River Bridge, and 35 minutes to Long Creek Falls/Springer Mountain area. Half of the time getting to these spots is on a dirt road winding through the mountains, beautiful and slow going, GPS was accurate for us. It's 12 minutes to the town of Blue Ridge, check out Main St. for shopping and restaurants. Overall, I would definitely recommend for a family or couple getaway.

Wonderful Blue Ridge Mountain Family get away on the River!

My family (of 8) and I recently returned from a 5-night stay at this property, and I assure you we will be back. I am actually from this area of Georgia and have traveled up here since moving away to Florida quite often. The cabin is VERY conveniently located (about a 12 minute drive through beautiful country and the Toccoa River) to the Downtown Blue Ridge area, (which in my opinion is the BEST of several of the nearby mountain towns) with regard to charm, activities and overall ambiance. It is nicely equipped with all of the modern conveniences and comfortable furnishings one could possibly want while retaining it's rustic charm and "woodsy" feel. In addition, it is also located right on the Toccoa river which if you happen to be a fisherman (which I am an avid one...) is almost reason enough to stay here. a short walk from the front door will have you on a beautiful stretch of one the best trout streams in the state if not the SE US, casting flies or spinning gear in pursuit of rainbows. There is no limit of outdoor adventure to be had on the river or the adjacent national forest land, and you can tube (Bob provides these for guests), hike, or explore....or just relax and sit by the fire pit, roast marshmallows and listen to the sounds of the river till your heart's content. Bob was an excellent host, and made our stay easy and stress-free....and even offered to let us stay extra night(s) at no charge as this was an impromptu family outing because we were evacuating the Tampa area due to Hurricane Irma and weren't certain when we would be ABLE to return. All in all the whole experience helped make a stressful, and uncertain situation into a great weekend that the whole family enjoyed ....EVEN the 2 teenagers! (which is saying alot!) We will definitely be back, and we were all already talking about when before we even left... If you spend some time up here you'll definitely be glad you did.

Beautiful cabin, great location!

The cabin was beautiful, very spacious and clean. Plus the location was excellent, close to hiking and shopping. The room size and the huge closets were appreciated. Celebrated NYE 2019 with two families totalling 11 people and had plenty of space. Thanks Bob for being so responsive and helpful throughout the trip. I would definitely recommend this cabin.

Spacious Cabin Getaway

I can not say enough how wonderful my long weekend in the woods was staying here at this place. It is just far enough away that you fell like you are deep in the mountains but still closed enough to town, that if you forget something you can make a quick trip with little interruption of your vacation. This place felt so spacious and really cozy at the same time. Coffee on the wrap around porch while the sun is coming up is a must. I can also say that compared to other cabins I have stayed in this one is very well stocked, I didn't have to look far for home comforts I didn't think to bring with me. Bob was very attentive and responded to all my question very quickly. 10 out of 10 would stay again.

Peaceful retreat by Toccoa river

Nice cabin. Well equipped kitchen. Wrap around porch with comfy chairs. Bob’s an attentive owner who texted to check on us. Bonus room downstairs was really great for kids. We saw plenty wildlife by cabin even 2 black bear sightings which was great. Fireflys at night and NO mosquitoes by day. Blue ridge is a bustling little town with lots of local products and support so it’s good for entire area. Once we got the hang of driveway we got up fine. Put your automatic in 2 or Low and don’t stop. We are flat landers with a front wheel drive Honda Pilot so it’s exciting to go uphill. If you’ve ever stayed in this area of the country you know what the driveways look like. Also do yourself a favor and walk to the river at night. Perfect setting.

Awesome

Nice private cabin, my family really enjoyed staying here. Tubing and kayaking on the river was awesome. We hiked to Falls Branch Falls, just a five minute drive from cabin. The swinging bridge was definitely the best hike, if we had more time I would have hiked the woods across the bridge, beautiful scenery. There was a lot of rain previous to our trip so fishing was not good, the river was moving too fast. The driveway is steep, my Acura RDX made it fine, no 4 wheel drive. The hot tub was necessary after going down the river and we all enjoyed it. The cabin was clean and the owner Bob was very responsive to any questions we had. Overall it was a great place to stay, and when I compared it to other cabins in the area I was happy this was our cabin.

Very nice, river is right down the road. Great drive through the mountains to get there.

Very nice cabin in a beautiful area. Had difficulty getting up the driveway so make sure you have a truck that is 4 wheel drive.

While visiting Blue Ridge in the summer of 2015 we fell in love with this area, purchased the property and began building our charming cabin. Our brand new Riverside Lane cabin was completed in October 2016 and enjoy being there so much that we decided to offer it to couples, families and friends. We hope you have the same experiences and share those memories as we do.
