Bring the adventure back to your life ~ the mountains are calling you! Immerse yourself in the beauty of the North Georgia Mountains at this mountain cabin just outside of Dillard, GA and nestled along the banks of beautiful Betty Creek. This 1-bedroom, 1-bath Canadian Hemlock hand hewed cabin with open sleeping loft is all you need for a memorable getaway. Enjoy playing in the creek right out your backdoor, or venture to Tallulah Gorge State Park, raft the Chattooga River, catch your dinner at Andy’s Trout Farm, or enjoy one of the numerous beautiful hikes in the Nantahala Wilderness Area. It's time to unplug and get away from it all! Let Turnstone Cabins be your home away from home!

Turnstone Cabins were built by the family of Ben Parrish, and are owned and operated by the Parrish Family. Along side our Dad, we laid every board, log, and rock with our own hands. Each cabin belongs to one of the Parrish children as a legacy of our Dad. We love opening our homes to guests so that they can share the beauty of the mountain valley we have loved over the past 25 years.

We are a family oriented property with cabins geared towards a quiet getaway. Any large groups or loud outdoor gatherings are not allowed in an effort to provide all of our guests (and neighbors) the most pleasant experience.

Hand hewed log cabin featuring full kitchen, fireplace, and back porch overlooking Betty Creek.

Master Bedroom: 1 queen bed | Open Sleeping Loft: 2 twin beds. Sleeping loft is accessed by a spiral staircase.

WiFi Available. (Please note we are located in a remote area and sometimes are at the mercy of weather/etc when it comes to wifi.)

Smart TV. Please bring your log in information when you come!

Charcoal Grill on back porch overlooking Betty Creek.

Wood-burning Stone Fireplace. We do supply firewood for October/November/February months only.

A Piece of God's Beauty

I seek to find an awesome river or creek for my husband & I to stay on every year for our "Mountain Trip". Betty Creek did not disappoint. The tranquil sound and view of the water running over the rocks was very much worth every trip out on the back porch of this sweet little cabin. The cabin was a cozy, clean place, and the property surrounding it was very pretty covered in its fall color. The drive into the cabin on both Betty Creek Rd & Big Creek Rd. were beautiful with the surrounding mountain range view. It is very close to everything you might need in town. Our favorite place to eat was Cupboard Cafe. I would love for my husband & I to come back to this cabin in the future. The other 3 Turnstone Cabin Rentals are all right there together with this one making it a great family get away place for several family members to be together yet have their own cabin to stay in and have their personal space.

First vacation in 10 years!

My mother & myself took off for our first getaway in 10 years and we enjoyed it greatly!!! However I had a issue putting the key lock back property I hope they found it and fixed it. If you want peace and quiet without any electronics this is the place to go!!!

Peaceful cabin on Betty's creek

The cabin is clean and well equipped. The location is serene at the end of a road on a calming creek. I enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to the creek. The kitchen is super cute, just bring your favorite foods. I would stay there the whole summer if i could afford it. I will definitely stay there again next time i visit the mountains.

Mountain Air Bliss at Turnstone Cabins

Very clean cabins. Enjoyed our stay there. We appreciate the amenities and full kitchen. We caught trout at Andy's Trout Farm, which is very close. So glad to find these cabins with rushing creek. Owner very helpful when VRBO sent the checkin info late. Can highly recommend Turnstone Cabins.

Another Thanksgiving Trip to Remember

Cozy Cabin

My parents and I enjoyed our stay at this precious cabin. It’s in a great location with close proximity to Dillard, Franklin, Highlands and Cherokee is only an hour away. The only thing I can say was missing to make it perfect was an outdoor fire pit so we could sit outside while staying warm to listen to nature and the creek. Also, it would be nice to have another comfortable chair in the Living room. There is really only enough comfortable seating for two on a loveseat. The kitchen was well stocked and although we didn’t use the grill on the back deck overlooking the creek it was such a plus! There was firewood provided and all the necessities for grilling. I’m looking forward to another visit in the near future with just my husband. If your a fan of Antiques visiting Bryant’s in Franklin is a must! We truly enjoy!!

Excellent weekend getaway

Great weekend getaway. Please was clean and cozy. Are was quiet and scenic. Many many trails nearby to enjoy. While you do have to drive for a bit for amenities or fine dining, it was a minor inconvenience compared to the overall experience. I would highly recommend the cabin and the area.

We love Walnut Falls.

We have stayed at Walnut Falls off and on for 13 years now. The cabin looks just as fresh as the first time we stayed there. Everything works great, except we could not connect to the internet, which was no big deal at all for us. This is a very special place.

Great getaway!

This cabin was the best getaway! Very clean and cozy. The creek was literally right at the back porch. Awesome place to getaway from our daily busy life. We did not have cell service and the WiFi did not work, but honestly it was kinda nice to unplug for a few days. So we did not mind. I would recommend to friends and family.

About the host

Turnstone Cabins are owned and operated by the Parrish Family. We are from south Georgia (Statesboro) and love the cooler climate up here in the mountains. We now spend almost all of our time on the property! We enjoy hiking and antique shopping.

Why they chose this property

We were looking for a property that was along a creek and that our guests could access without 4 wheel drive vehicles at any time of the year. We found it right here on Betty Creek in the mountains of western North Carolina ... just 4 minutes from US Highway 441. We developed the property and built our 4 log cabins so that we could share this unique place with others.

What makes this property unique

The sound of rushing water over a large rocky creek and the cool breezes that are always blowing gently makes sitting on the porches real relaxing moments.
