Perfect lake front get away.

this property was perfect for our group of five adults and three children. The location could not have been better super easy to get to the marina. Kids like swimming and playing on the floating dock. House was squeaky clean. Check in and communication with Lori was very easy. We will definitely book again!

Convenient Location on the Lake

The home was spacious for our family reunion. There were a few cleanliness issues with long fluffy dog hair on the floor and deck and programming the A/C to cool adequately. Overall, the stay was comfortable and the host was very responsive via text.

Great lakehouse

Nice place to stay on the lake, close to the boat launch. The water was too low to easily use the paddle boards, unfortunately. Would stay again!

Great location and hospitality!

This home was great for our group of nine. The views every morning were incredible! The location couldn’t have been more perfect for boat access and Lori was fantastic to work with. Would highly recommend renting one if their properties. We look forward to going back!

Great place for a family get together.

This was a great place for a get together for a family of bass fishermen. The house was perfect and well set up for our group. The only down side was the level of the lake was so low that it made for a long hike to the shore. This wasn’t the fault of the owners, though. 🙂

Great time with friends and family

This was a wonderful home and location for our families to meet! The house was clean and safe for the little ones. We all enjoyed ourselves very much waking up to the sun on the lake each morning and taking in the view. thank you Dave and Lori! We hope to come back again someday soon.

Great family space

Comfortable home, great deck space and the hot tub was a hit. Morning views over the lake are breathtaking! The house layout is a little quirky, but works out ok. Well appointed kitchen, much appreciated. Owners very responsive and rental well managed.

Serenity at the lake!

Lori and Dave were great with communication from booking throughout our stay. Very thorough guest book was quite helpful. The property worked well for our two small dogs with fencing in the front yard (read - you can stand at the door on a cold morning and watch them without having to actually go outside) and they LOVED the trail down to the lake - so many smells to smell!! The house is well equipped, appreciated the laundry access, firewood and plenty of space for all to ‘zoom’ without having to hear each other. While the lake may be down in the winter - this is still truly lakeside and BEAUTIFUL- stars galore at night, mist rising off the lake in the morning. We will definitely be back! A few notes: Bring Kleenex (if you want them) - plenty of TP otherwise. The colander is red and hiding in the stack of red mixing bowls : ) The downstairs bedroom is accessed via outdoor staircase and does not have a bathroom on that level (wasn’t a problem for us - just something to know).

The property was clean and well kept. Even though our stay there was shortened because of a PSPS (Public Safety Power Shutoff), the owners did everything within their power to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Great communication.

Great Lake House

Great place to go that is right on the lake. The owners know what they are doing and have so many amenities available and ready to use. The only downside was the kitchen. It is a tad small if you have a large group to cook for and it was difficult to have more than 2 people working on the meals at a time. Other than that, loved our stay. Thank you again.

Peaceful lakefront house

Our family needed to get out of town for a few days and we luckily found this home available. It was well equipped, there was plenty of space, and lots of activities. The lake toys were a huge plus for us! Lori and David Raun were very responsive and accommodating. We'd stay here again.

With over two decades of cherished family memories at Shasta Lake, we, David and Lori, came to regard Shasta Lake as the highlight of our summers. It's a place where families can bond, and where the range of activities appeals to every age group, making it the perfect spot for a family getaway.

Our love for Shasta Lake runs deep, leading us to make a life-changing decision in 2015 when we purchased our first lakefront home, known as Shasta Lakeshore Retreat #1. The incredible experiences we had here were simply too good not to share and we knew our houseboat days were over after staying in this home.

A year later, we acquired the property next door, now known as Shasta Lakeshore Retreat #2, bolstered by the popularity of our first home, which had become a year-round favorite.

In 2019, our two grown sons also fell in love with this wonderful place, prompting them to buy a home on the same charming street, christened as Shasta Lakeshore Retreat #3. They entrusted us with its management, a responsibility we take to heart. All three homes required significant investment and remodeling as they had been neglected for years.

After many requests from dear friends and neighbors, in 2021 we started managing other properties, which further enriched our collection. Although we only own two of them, today, we proudly represent 17 remarkable homes, each carefully selected for its unique charm, quality, and comfort. We firmly believe that an extraordinary home is the foundation of an unforgettable getaway, and we want nothing less than perfection for our valued guests.

Our journey doesn't end here; it's an ongoing adventure inspired by our passion for Shasta & the surrounding areas. We are committed to carefully expanding our offerings, reviewing additional unique homes to provide more options for all the wonderful families that come to visit this recreational area year after year providing them a much needed lodging option.
