The apartment has an open floor plan with a sunny kitchen and dining area. There's a cozy living room with a lounge chair and super comfy goose down sofa. The rug is extra padded for morning yoga or playing with the kiddos.
The home is on a quiet road. We have Carolina Chickadees, Tufted Titmouse, Red Cardinals, Blue Jays, wild turkey, and lots of other wildlife AND you are a few minutes from anywhere in Asheville.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, modern sink, washer, and dryer. Most utensils are supplied as well as pots and pans, and a tea kettle. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a morning breakfast before heading out on adventures.
There is a coffee maker and fresh roasted coffee. The water is hot right away and there is a great shower head. It has AC window units in the living area and master bedroom. The other rooms stay cool naturally. There is high-speed internet. There's no smoking allowed.
There are two bedrooms with memory foam queen mattresses, and a third tiny bedroom with a queen mattress as well. Linens are supplied
Located on a low mountain right above downtown, breakfast opportunities abound, as well as major supermarkets, all less than 3 minutes from the house.
Downtown Asheville is just a 5-minute drive. You can walk over and down the mountain to town in about 25 minutes and then Uber home for around $8. West Asheville and the River Arts District are a 10-minute drive.
The Biltmore Estate and Biltmore Village both neighbor the neighborhood and are just 2 miles away or about a 5-minute drive.
Just up the hill, you can find some great views of downtown and the far off mountains. There's also a mountain park with walking trails. It's a forested oasis just above the city. It's accessible from the house for walkers or runners who don't mind climbing, otherwise, there's parking at the trailhead.
Guests access the lower level of the home through the backyard, as well as the shared backyard and off-street parking.
You likely won't see me during your stay. I am always a call, text, or short drive away. I'm happy to offer local tips on where to eat, drink, dance, adventure, or curl up with coffee and a book.

I spend a lot of time exploring Asheville and can recommend the best food trucks, fun hangouts, breweries, live music, scenic drives and hiking trails. I'm also a lifelong cyclist and can set you up with road or mountain bike rides. Some of the best road rides in Asheville start right at our front door.

The home is located in a historic, forested neighborhood, known for it's beautiful and eclectic old homes. Our quiet road attracts walkers, runners and cyclists from all over Asheville.
Views of downtown reward a short walk up the hill and another 15 minutes downhill will put you in the heart of Asheville. An uber costs around $6 for the same journey and usually comes within a few minutes.
If you want to sample handcrafted brews from the twenty some breweries just down the hill on the South Slope we recommend a 5-minute ride with Uber or Lyft. Driving is also an option and I can give you tips on parking downtown. The Biltmore estate is just across Biltmore Ave at the edge of the neighborhood. The Blue Ridge Parkway is close by as well the Grove Park Inn. It is possible to walk to town. There is climbing and descending on a quiet, mountain road with. The walk takes about 25 minutes.
Funky West Asheville and the River Arts District are a 10-minute drive.
For the more adventurous it's a scenic, wonderful walk to downtown that includes the 100-year old Helen's Bridge, views of the city and mountains, the Edible Gardens and a pedestrian bridge that drops you right into the heart of downtown at Pack Square.
The home is centrally located between iconic downtown Asheville with it's award winning restaurants and vibrant street life and Tunnel Rd offering major supermarkets and anything else you might need for your vacation. You won't be wasting precious vacation time driving long distances from this central Asheville home.
