Only two miles to Seaside, Watercolor, Rosemary Beach and Seagrove Village with all the local casual and fine dining. We are located right in the heart of all the sparkling beaches of the Emerald Coast, on magnificent highway 30-A in beautiful South Walton County, Florida.

Sitting directly overlooking a private, pristine beach, Compass Pointe II provides the perfect location for enjoying Mother Nature's glory. Elevators take you to your third floor unit making this location convenient for everyone.

Creatively designed and impressively decorated, 'Breathtaking' provides a spacious great room where you have a front row seat to the 270 degree view of the Gulf, the beach and the natural vegetation amidst the dunes and walkways along the beachfront. Exquisitely decorated with a large great room that includes the living area,dining area and upscale Viking Professional line kitchen with granite bar and stainless appliances and 'no walls' to obstruct your views.

Luxuriate in the grand master bedroom suite with its four-poster, Tommy Bahama bed, sitting area and adjoining private bath with a Jacuzzi plus a large, walk-in shower. Awake to views of the emerald green waters or go out on the porch accessible from your bedroom. A guest suite with Queen bed and private bath also offers incredible gulf views and access to the gulf front porch. A third bedroom suite features a Queen bed plus a Twin bed and trundle - great room for another adult couple or for the kids to enjoy.

Relax on the wrap-around balcony which that overlooks both the magnificent gulf front beach and private condo pool. The beach walkway is just steps from your door and the community clubhouse and pool is 100 yards away.

For your swimming pleasure, three pools are available for your use. There are two commercial grills that you may use. You may the Compass Point II pool which is directly viewable from our balcony. You may also use the community pools and pool houses named Bridges and Dunesider. These also have grills and grassy areas.

WaterSound has more than one mile of private, white, sandy beaches for you to enjoy. Other amenities include Puttering Park (18 hole putt-putt course), Yacht pond, playground, walking paths and boardwalks throughout the community and access to Camp Creek Lake. A state of the art fitness center is available for a small fee. Beach chair and umbrella rentals are available.

The surrounding area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Over 20,000 acres is state-owned and therefore protected from future development. It is home to one of the most beautiful beaches in the nation, South Walton Beach, and also has 17 fresh and salt-water lakes and the Choctawhatchee Bay.

The 30-A bike trail will take you from Santa Rosa Beach to Inlet Beach. Along the way you can enjoy the communities of Blue Mountain Beach, Grayton Beach, Watercolor, Seaside, Seagrove, Alys Beach, Seacrest, and Rosemary Beach. Deer Creek State Park is located next to WaterSound Beach and other state park are just a short bike ride or drive away. The area has some of the best restaurants and most unique shops along the Scenic Emerald Coast of South Walton County.

Golfers can enjoy numerous courses in the area including Santa Rosa Country Club, Kelly Plantation, Regatta Bay, Emerald Bay and Indian Bayou.

WaterSound Beach is located about halfway between Destin and Panama City Beach. Destin features Destin Commons, Grand Boulevard and Silver Sands Factory Stores. Panama City Beach is home to Pier Park Mall with over 120 stores to choose from.

Located midway between Seaside and Rosemary Beach, there are many shops and restaurants and coffee shops convenient to you. Parking for two cars. Also, you are only minutes from the Camp Creek Golf Club.

Wonderful stay at Watersound

I can't say enough great things about this property and Watersound community. Absolutely stunning. One of the best places I've ever rented, if not THE best. Wouldn't change a thing, and we definitely plan to be back!

Love Watersound

This is a lovely property. It is a breathtaking view. But there are a few things that could use attention. There are so many accumulated dishes etc, that there is little room to store any food. We stay 2 weeks and do most of our cooking in the unit, so more trips to store than we'd like. The wifi was barely adequate to check email, which we understand to be a community issue. For those who use cable at home rather than streaming subscriptions, the TV was limited.

Great rental!

The rental was well appointed with all the items you needed for a great stay. Property was very clean. The layout and space of the rental just added to the relaxing environment. Large balcony had plenty of seating and amazing ocean views! The proximity to the pool was an added bonus. Elevator also made getting luggage up to condo seamless and would make the stay workable if you were travelling with older parents who have challenges with steps. Location was less crowded area, but you still had quick access to restaurants and shopping. The host was always responsive to emails and inquiries as we were planning our trip. Would definitely stay at this property again.

This is by far one of the nicest properties in which we have stayed. The views are outstanding. The unit was spotless on arrival. The furnishings were all top notch. The kitchen was well stocked. The owner was extremely responsive to our questions. Easy access to the private beach. Very accessible for older visitors since there is an elevator. We would stay here again in heartbeat.

Picturesque Views

We’ve been coming to 30A for the past 20+ years and this has been one of the most enjoyable properties! It was very quiet (which we like) and the panoramic view was beautiful from the large living space and decks. The property was perfect for the 6 of us. 2 pool areas to choose from, one with incredible views of the marsh, dunes and ocean. A beautiful 10 minute boardwalk thru the sand dunes to the beach. The beach was perfect … not overly crowded like other more highly populated areas we’ve stayed. Our 15 month old granddaughter was ecstatic from the moment she walked in finding 3 floppy stuffed dogs! All went well with the facilities. All in all, we loved the place!

Ocean Views in Paradise

Awesome location only 400 steps from the beach. Beautiful pools, and luxurious rooms and bathrooms. Close to the best food and shops in America! Lovely Long Weekend

The VRBO listing accurately reflects the property which to me is a huge win. The owner was prompt, thorough and kind in communication. The condo has a wonderful view of the ocean and is convenient to 2 pools. We would definitely return to this particular condo.

Incredible - Could Not Ask for a Better Experience!

This was our families first trip to the area and we could not have asked for a better place to stay. The listing painted an accurate picture of exactly what our experience was - great living spaces, comfortable bedrooms, convenient kitchen, and the most Breathtaking views from every angle. Detailed and clear instructions were sent for Check-in and to access the Condo and Garage, local contacts were provided (renting the Beach chairs and Umbrellas was well worth it!), and the "extras" that were provided made all the difference for our family and our little girls (sand toys, beach wagon, 2 Pack & Plays, high chair). We truly felt like we had the entire community and Beach to ourselves and were only minutes away from anything we could need. Every day since coming home our daughter has asked to go back to "her beach house" thanks to the memories that were made. I'm confident we'll be booking again in the future!

wonderful vacation

We have stayed at this property before and enjoyed every minute. Perfect in every way. Beautiful spot on the beach with a pool right near the unit. Restaurants and shopping minutes away. Only complaint is no cable TV. They have a new set up with Roku that none of us understand. If we didn't have an amazon prime and paramount plus account we couldn't get the football games on and other shows.

What a great place

Fabulous Condo + Beach Community

We recently stayed at this property and had a wonderful time! The ocean views are unbelievable, we loved sitting out on the balcony to relax and enjoy it all. The condo itself was very well maintained and cleaned. It had all the amenities to make it special and comfortable. The community this condo is located in was perfect for us; and our two young kiddos. You are slightly removed from the hustle and bustle; and have a beautiful pool right at the back of the building + the beach is an easy walk. Darrell was also super responsive - we had some questions before/during our stay; and he got back to us right away and was eager to help. We are already talking about planning our trip back next year! :-)

"Breathtaking" views!

Our family of 4 enjoyed our weeklong stay in Breathtaking. The layout is perfect, and our boys loved the "infinity" pool just outside the building. The views of the gulf are truly breathtaking. We would definitely stay here again - we loved the close access to The Hub. My only complaint would be the laundry room as it is really tight in there, and the dryer takes most of the day to dry a load of clothes. But, most people on vacation are probably not worried about laundry. HA!

Beautiful Views

We recently stayed here with two families (total of 3 kids) - the layout was perfect for us. We appreciated the elevator access on move-in day. We spent our days at the beach / pool or shopping in different beach towns and spent most evenings enjoying the view from the patio! We would definitely recommend, it exceeded our expectations.

Wonderful Stay

We had a lovely week at Watersound. Late October is quiet on 30A but nice time of year at the beach. The condo was very comfortable and even better than the online photos. We spent a lot of time on the balcony - beautiful views. Only negative is the dishwasher. Condo is really well furnished and equipped. We will return!

Peaceful getaway

If you’re looking for a peaceful quiet get away. Breathtaking truly is just that. Breathtaking . From the moment you open the door all you see it the beautiful landscape of sand dunes with ocean rolling in beyond them . Really all you hear are birds and distant crashing waves. The oversized deck is where we spent a lot of time while in the condo. We had plenty of space out there and also felt 100 percent safe with the deck railing for our little ones. There are no lights on the patio, our 3 yr old loved laying on the patio chairs each night watching the stars and the moon . The condo is equipped with everything you need . With the exception of one thing . I always want a blender on vacation and sadly there is not one provided . My only suggestion to the owner would be adding one for my next stay haha! I really have nothing negative to stay about this rental. The bedrooms and their attached bathrooms are all wonderful . Everyone in our group had no complaints. We all had plenty of space with a little extra! One of our favorite parts is the pool right outside . Such a quiet private retreat! The beach is a bit of a walk , so prepare yourself for that . However the gorgeous scenery on the way there , I didn’t even mind the walk! Definitely book this place for your next stay , you won’t regret it.

Amazing Accommodations with Incredible View

We highly enjoyed our stay at Breathtaking. The photos do not do the views justice. We will miss our morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the dunes and the beach. The unit was very comfortable with all kitchen appliances and cook ware you should need. Each bedroom has its own bathroom which was great for our teenagers. There are plenty of bikes available in the garage (9). The garage also had beach chairs, a tent and an umbrella if needed. We used the beach chair service each day (9-5), but on a few days we took advantage of the units beach chairs and got a few extra beach hours in. The beach itself is not overly crowded like some of the other areas of 30A. You won’t feel like the umbrellas are stacked on one another. The location in Watersound is excellent. A short walk on the boardwalk to the beach and access to 2 pools. We took advantage of the pool closer to the unit. It is far less crowded and has some beautiful views itself. The HUB is a short bike ride from the unit with plenty of great food options (Macho Taco was a hit with the family). We also took advantage of the pizza place (Bruno’s) on the grounds of Watersound. Great pizza! There are plenty of other great food options that are a short drive away. Definitely make reservations during peak season. Overall, I highly recommend Watersound and especially Breathtaking. We definitely will be back.

Amazing Condo unit and accurately described

This condo unit was a very relaxing stay for my wife and I. We would come back in a heart beat. My only reasoning behind giving this place a 4 star review is one of the days of our vacation, the condo unit owner gave us a 3 hour notice that someone was going to be coming in and assessing the cost of fixing a window that was broken on the property. I was not told of this before hand, so my wife and I had our stuff out and did not feel comfortable with someone else coming onto the property that we did not know. I know this is a condo unit and many people are coming in and out, but guest should not have to worry about that or at least be told the previous day instead of only a 3 hour notice so they can put up or lock up their expensive items. However after talking to the property owner, he was able to get the guys rescheduled for a different day when we were not there which we very much appreciated. The owner is very fast at responding as well. My only suggestions would be to modernize the front two bedrooms and to look at getting a new Dining Room Table. There was scratches and the finish of the stain was beginning to rub off. All you may have to do is just sand it and re stain it and it would look a lot better instead of getting a whole new dining room table. But for a rental property it was better then a lot of others we have encountered before. What we enjoyed the most about this property is the large deck and how comfortable the patio furniture was. It made it great for afternoon naps. The kitchen is well stocked with about anything you need to cook, even if you have multiple people staying here. I was really impressed with that, as sometimes this is not the case in rental properties. The beds are really comfortable and we cannot wait to come back and visit!

Beautiful View and Location

The property is beautiful with an amazing view. It has easy access to 2 swimming pools and a very nice natural gas grill. There are several bikes to choose from for travel around the community. No access to golf carts made it difficult to carry items (chairs, coolers, baby stuff, etc.) to and from the beach. Also, we were disappointed not to have access to the community fitness center... owners only.
