The Scene

Imagine waking up to the sound of birds singing, enjoying the spectacular sunrise over Mt Kenya and sunset over the Aberdares. Sweetwaters Eco-Farm & Cottage is a green and homely space for individuals, families or friends needing to get away from the city to a place of calm and relaxation in natural sorroundings.

Situated 15 minutes from Nanyuki town, it is the perfect overnight homestay for those wishing to visit Ol Pejeta ( only 7 minutes away) or other attractions in the Nanyuki environs.

What You Will Find

The Eco-Farm & Cottage is located on 2 acres featuring gardens, trees and flowers.
The organic kitchen garden has a range of vegetables and herbs including onions, tomatoes, spinach, kale, amaranth, beetroot, courgettes, sweet potatoes, lettuce, coriander, dill , parsley, sage and fennel among others. Guests are welcome to enjoy these during their stay with us.

There are several spaces, nooks and crannies on the grounds including sunbeds and hammocks for those that wish to read, relax or meditate. Guests can walk the labyrinth or light a fire at the firepit and roast sweet potatoes or marshmallows. There are gazebos on the grounds where guests can enjoy lmeals, a glass of wine or beer or prepare a barbecue. Children will love swinging and playing in the sandpit on the farm.

Guests can also play pool, table tennis or basketball. For the more energetic, walking or jogging outside the farm is recommended.

The Eco-Farm & Cottage is off-grid and uses solar power with a back-up generator. Wifi is available.

We recommend a four-wheel drive vehicle to access the farm during the rainy season.
