Park in an oversized detached garage. The backyard is large and private with BBq grill and fire pit with deck seating. The main level hosts the living room with large flat screen and seating area. Kitchen with dining table, and den with seating and fireplace. There is sufficient room to set up an air mattress (air mattress and linens provided) in the den. The Bedroom has a walk in closet and queen size bed and full bath. Upstairs king size bed with additional seating and TV and full bathroom. You hear the geese flying overhead from the nearby lake, which is within walking distance. Mount Rushmore is 30 minutes south, Sturgis 30 minutes to the north. Badlands 45 minutes to the east. a very central location. Downtown rapid city 10 minutes.

Family Vacation

South Dakota home

Property was exactly as listed, very clean. Located where most attractions were 30 to 40 minutes away. We had a air conditioner that malfunctioned, a new unit was put in within 2 hours. Excellent host and very personable, we appreciated it.

Great House and Location!!

Loved the location near Canyon Lake and Meadowbrook golf course! The house is perfect for 4 adults! House was very clean. The garage entertainment was fun as we had some local family members come over to hang out and play darts pool and ping pong! Would definitely stay here again!

Clean, quiet, and relaxing

Perfect house to relax in after a busy day seeing all the sites. The house was clean and quiet with lots of room to spread out. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was fully stocked with all we needed. The manager was super helpful and friendly. We had a problem with the internet and he got it fixed for us right away. Would definitely recommend!

Great Stay

This property was perfect for us....my wife and I took the upstairs suite and my daughter and her friend had the lower level. We used this property for a place to stay as we took in the Badlands, Wall Drug, Mount Rushmore and downtown Rapid City. It was super clean, super cute, a great location in a quiet neighborhood and the pool table and dart boards in the garage was a nice touch for the girls. Chace was responsive at all times and had some good recommendations for places to eat. We had a great stay.

Great Experience

You need to stay here!

This is the perfect house for your stay in Rapid City. Close to all the sites and convenient to hop on the highway. Very clean and welcoming. Stocked with coffee, etc. and you have Wi-Fi . Communication with the owner is easy and fast! Highly recommend!!!

Perfect vacation destination

We had a wonderful time in Rapid City and staying here was definitely a big part of it! Traveling with two boys (6 and 9) having separate spaces for them and us was key, along with the backyard for them to play in. We utilized the pool table in the garage a few times and taught the boys how to play. The house was located within a reasonable distance to everything we wanted to do during our vacation - Badlands, Mount Rushmore, Deadwood, Jewel Cave, Custer and Cosmos Mystery Area. The kitchen had pretty much anything we could need for meal prep and it was awesome going home with minimal laundry having been able to do it before heading home. It was a great week and couldn't recommend Chace's property more!

Great place to stay!

The Nelson's have a great well stocked home. It's location makes it very easy to get to all of the areas attractions. Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, National Wind Cave and many more. Also located next to a great bike/walking path.

Perfect for our trip!!

Chace's home is just as described! The location is perfect as we traveled in different directions of Rapid City. Very, very clean. comfortable beds, and a private fenced-in back yard. We played a few games of pool. So much fun since we hadn't played in years. We found great eating places nearby. I would definitely stay here again!! Perfect Centrally Located Family Home

This home was exactly what we needed. It had ample space for 2 adults and a 10, 7, and 4 year old. We enjoyed the garage multiple times when it was raining, and the back yard was beautiful. It was very quiet, as was the neighborhood. The house was well stocked and very clean. We picked this house because it was centrally located, and we were not disappointed. Anything we wanted to do was within about an hour of driving, Spearfish Canyon, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Wind Cave National Park, The Mammoth Dig Site, UTV Rentals, and more! If your looking to see more than one thing while in South Dakota this is the house to choose!

Good Choice for Rapid City

This property was clean, well supplied and a great base for our visit to the Badlands and Black Hills. We had reviewed the description and photos on VRBO site, but we were amazed by the amount of space in this house. We were also greeted by fresh flowers and a bottle of wine. Very nice. There were deer in the yard across the street every morning! The nearby lake park and Chapel in the hills places to spend a few minutes before or after a day at the major sightseeing attractions. Chace was very responsive. If we head to Rapid City again, we'll look for this place. Would recommend to anyone who asks.

Iv lived in Rapid City all my life and grew up at my families campground, which I know help run. Catering to people visiting the black hills and rapid city is something iv been doing for a long time. I love helping people get the most out of their vacation and think this location is one of the best!

Why they chose this property

Location is the best thing about my home. so many things within waking distance and for a home base to the black hills it doesn't get more central. Iv taken amazing care of my house over the years and pride myself in a great clean home. Also, the garage is a huge plus. Keep the motorcycles or cars out of the hail which does happen once in a while. play a game of pool, cook on the gas grill or just sit on the deck and enjoy a drink.

What makes this property unique

the layout allows for great privacy as the rooms are on separate floors with their own bathroom and tv/sitting area. the upstairs bedroom has a balcony deck that connects with the lower deck in the back yard.
