Freshwater East
The property is very roomy, lovely views and convenient to beach and surrounding areas. Having stayed at Trewent properties many times I would consider this property is a little tired in places some things don’t appear to work……the heated towel rail and one of the Ventaxia the switches were so high up you couldn’t reach them. The toilet brushes were disgusting and the floor mops were also dirty. Just little things that if they were corrected would have made my scoring higher. Other than that we had a very enjoyable stay.

Nice property in good location
From booking stage to our arrival, Host Pat is very helpful and respond to our queries very quickly. We travelled with two road bikes & was concern for the late check in time after 4pm what to do with our bikes, Pat was extremely kind and managed to get us in after 2pm. Of course this is not always possible and we were grateful so we have more time to explore the place and beach after checked in. The property in a great location with few mins walk to the beach and you can also hike 6.5miles to LilyPond from the lodge along the coast path, really worth a try & we love it. Inside the lodge, you have everything you need in the kitchen, bathroom, living and bed rooms very spacious and comfortable. There even have sunbed, cushions for garden chairs. View from the upstairs balcony is fab for your breakfast coffee in the morning. There wifi was not ready when we were there even the host has tried to get it done before our arrival, but it wasnt a problem for us because we wanted to get away from 'outside' completely. If you cant live without wifi/internet, then the area might not be suitable for you because in the Pembrokeshire area, there are many places do not have phone/internet connection. If we back to the area again, would definitely like to book with Pat and stay here again.

Beautiful balcony view
Really lovely property with views of the coast from the balcony, meaning we could relax and enjoy the scenery without leaving the house! Very clean and tidy, with lots of helpful gadgets in the kitchen. A plus having a full size bathroom for each bedroom as well as a downstairs loo. Host was really helpful and responded speedily to my queries. The only tiny downside was there wasn't a convenience store selling milk within walking distance (or at least not that we found), but that may be because the bar/cafe next door is currently closed.

Beach getaway
2 Tenby Lodge was the ideal location for our family holiday focusing on spending time at the nearby beach and exploring further afield in this beautiful part of South Pembrokeshire. The house itself is very spacious, with the open plan ground floor providing plenty of space for the whole family to relax and the 2 bedrooms were both large and had their own large en suite bathrooms. The house came fully equipped with everything you might need. A massive plus are the cliff and sea views from the upstairs bedrooms and balcony and the fact that we could just walk down to the beach in 4 minutes fully changed and not have to lug down all our stuff for the day. The only real downside for us (especially with 2 10 year old twins who have never known life without!) was the lack of a reliable internet connection. It took a long time to get connected and frequently disconnected. I fully appreciate that this is a remote spot but if it could be improved it would be a massive bonus especially as 4G is non-existent (for EE network at least).

Amazing views with the beach opposite the property
We had a lovely week exploring Pembrokeshire. The property is opposite the beach with amazing views from the top balcony. There were a few issues which the owners rectified. A downside is the WIFI is really intermittent and there is no phone signal but the location and views make up for it!

We have been coming to Freshwater East beach for years and have owned our Lodge since 2004. We love the area. We like walking along the coastal path. Spotting wild flowers and birds. We love the long sandy beach and love how it changes from month to month. We also love exploring the rock pools at each end of the beach. Tenby Lodge is great for eating out on the balcony and we often sit and eat and enjoy the peace and tranquility. It's great to sit out on the upstairs balcony and take in the view over the beach and coast line. Never bored as there is so much to see and do. The grandchildren love swimming on their body boards and love the beach.

Why they chose this property

Tenby lodge has everything we need. Much like a home from home with the wonderful views. The climate is also milder down there being at least 2 degrees warmer than in Bristol where we live. In the summer when it is hot the sea breeze makes it a very comfortable heat. The best bit about the property is the extra bathrooms. One down stairs so you don't have to go upstairs when in the lounge and 2 upstairs. One for each bedroom. I also like the fact that you can be in the fully equipped kitchen and still watch the TV from the lounge. In the winter as well as there are wall heaters, there is a electric flame effect fire which makes it feel very cosy. We are at the beach but also in the country at the same time. Best of both worlds.

What makes this property unique

Extra bathrooms, fully fitted kitchen, balconies and small garden.
