My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this small, but cozy cabin suite. It had everything we needed, and we loved that it was up on the mountain away from all the noise of every day life.
We had a great stay. Lots of things in the area to do and see.
As everyone should clean up at least a little before they leave. The microwave had bacon grease in it from the people before and the tub and shower had not been cleaned. So I cleaned those few things up when I got there and had it ready for the next guest. Lori is a wonderful person and not like her cute little cabin is so big of hat it’s hard to take care of. Be respectful she doesn’t ask that much. Some help keeping the place you stay nice isn’t too much. Everyone enjoy your visit on that beautiful mountain and the cute cabin/apt. you will be staying in. We will be back. Our granddaughter saw pictures and ask her Papa if we would take her. Take care Lori. We look forward to our next trip. Sincerely Kim and Jimmy Foster.
We booked this vrbo for 5 nights and ended up not staying at all- the rooms smelled musty and moldy. My daughter and myself are allergic to mold and I immediately could tell the presence of mold. When I contacted the owner, she refused to refund us any of our money and said we didn’t give her a chance to try plug in air fresheners. The pictures of the property must have been taken a couple years ago- pictures are not accurate at all. Extremely disappointed. I understand not getting at least one of our nights refunded but the fact the host won’t refund any of our trip is wrong. I’ve been a real estate broker for 6 yrs and I know the presence of mold- do not stay here and be deceived.
My husband and I stayed at the cozy cabin for 2 nights to explore Chattanooga in celebration of his birthday. The cabin apartment was well located near lots of great hiking trails on Lookout Mountain and within 15-20 minutes of downtown Chattanooga which made exploring very easy and convenient. The cabin suite was very clean and comfortable, and included a kitchenette with coffee and the basics. We really enjoyed the comfortable bed and large soaker tub! The host was very kind and communicative and we felt right at home. I would recommend this spot to others traveling in the area! Thank you for a lovely stay!
My advice? Do NOT stay at this property.
Where do I begin. My partner and I had booked this stay a month in advance. I emailed our host the morning of to let them know we were on schedule to arrive. I immediately received a notice that our reservation had been cancelled and a refund was sent. The host did not contact us to explain why or respond to my email. I called VRBO customer service and they had little to say about our experience, no apologies for this convenience, and did not offer any sort of booking opportunity that would make up for this absolute failure of an experience. No, we will not be returning to VRBO, and this host should cancel their stay options. Extremely rude and inconsiderate of my time.
This place is a good place for travelers on a budget and the cabin is in the perfect location for EVERYTHING. The drive to the cabin is gorgeous in the fall time. The entrance of the driveway does need some help.

We didn’t even go. The owners sent me an email the very night before we were supposed to leave, telling me it’s a small apartment on the backside of their house. So it’s not very private at all. The pictures are misleading, it doesn’t look that nice.
Also she told me there are ants in the room, but that’s part of the “southern charm”. And when I asked about these things, I was told that we shouldn’t come if we don’t like these things, they inky want happy people. So if you don’t mind bugs in your room, and having no personal space. This place is fine
This apartment was on the back half of the owner's cabin easy access very pleasant woman. we had a Camp Fire access And felt like home in a lot of ways ....next time we come to Tennessee we definitely will be staying here!!! couldn't ask for a better place or area.
This cabin apartment was cute and clean. It has no living room, just a king bed, but It seemed to have all the amenities we needed for an enjoyable stay!!! It's in the back of owner's cabin, but it's very quiet. We enjoyed seeing deer walking around in the yard. We will book again!!!
The listing is very misleading. We booked this cabin based on what the photos portrayed. The apartment did not feel very private due to it being connected to the owner’s home. The listing photos included the house’s front porch with a welcoming atmosphere. The house porch and welcoming sign photographed in listing does not pertain to the attached apartment that you are renting. The entire property and house was quite run down and not taken care of, leading us to believe that the photos advertised on the site were from a long time ago. We were messaged before checking in stating that there were some yard projects in progress. It simply appears that the property has not been kept up over the years. There was supposed to be a beautiful greenhouse but instead it seemed to be a storage area with run down garden beds filled with dirt. It looks nothing like the photos listed. The beautiful hammock in the listing photo turned out to be an old hammock taken over by the weather.
The apartment appears to be very spacious in listing photos. It is actually the size of a master bedroom and bathroom with two bunk beds inside a walk in closet. Immediately when walking into the apartment you are hit with a very stale and musty smell due to there being no air conditioner (which it was advertised to have). When contacting the owner, we were advised to sleep with the windows open and that they could put a window unit in the next day. Having a working air conditioner that stayed in the cabin would be an easy solution. We left the cabin to go buy fans and air freshener. After coming back at night we pulled back the shower curtain which revealed large amounts of hair and months of built up soap scum on the shower walls. When pulling back the bed sheets there was lots of hair stuck on the sheets. We decided we no longer felt comfortable staying there and decided to cancel our stay and book a hotel.
There were a few safety hazards that caused a little uneasiness the short time we were there. When driving up the rock driveway for the first time, the car bottomed out. The uphill rock driveway was very slippery causing the car to slide sideways when exiting during a rain shower. The uneven rocks leading to the apartment steps were a slipping hazard. The motion light on top of the step sometimes does not turn on when it is dark.
Overall, we believe this apartment to have lots of potential. It is a very cute idea if things could be improved. If the stay would ha
The husband and I enjoyed our little weekend away. Great location to everything. Cabin was too cute for words.

We had a great time, but it wasn't quite what we were expecting..!
We had a difficult time getting in touch w/ the property owner. I'd spoken w/ her a few days before our check-in date. She said she'd send us a welcome packet in an email which we never recieved. Four hours before we were supposed to check in, we contacted Vrbo. We finally heard back from property owner. She said she thought we'd canceled..? We arrived at the property & were unable to access the rental. Vrbo contacted us to make sure everything was okay. They contacted property owner; the owner called us back & came to let us in. So everything started out a little rocky.
Looking at the rental, we assumed we were renting a small cabin w/ a greenhouse which had veggies (if in season.) It's actually a small apartment at the back of the owner's house. Greenhouse was not kept up & looked as though it is being used for storage & had been for some time. Saturday night (our first night there) we could hear the owner's loud music until about 1am or so which was aggravating seeing how we were there for a quiet getaway.
Over all we had a great time. The apartment is in a great location & it was clean. There were pots & pans & one burner to cook on, however, there were no utencils.
It is a nice quaint place, but listing is misleading. Most of the photos on the listing are of the front part of the cabin, which is where the owners live. Also, the pictures of the greenhouse are out of date. It is a nice little rental, but don't think you're getting a cabin all to yourself..!
The inside of the cabinet apartment had a warm and inviting atmosphere. We found it very comfortable, and the owner was very pleasant to deal with. The outside of the property was a little drab, but in reality our visit was in March so not much can be expected at that time. I'm sure everything will be lovely when the leaves and flowers come on.
CAUTION: No refund if cancellation is due to weather.
The owner responded quickly but offered no refunds or credits when renter was unable to come to due poor weather and grounded flights.
Checked property out from the outside a week later...chose to stay at another property in the event of a weather issue.

I'm from the area and I love living here! I enjoy music, gardening and water activities.
I love meeting new folks.
Why they chose this property
Our cabin is located on Lookout Mountain in the middle of bike and hiking trails - near Rock CIty, Ruby Falls, Cloudland Canyon, Lula Lake Falls and downtown Chattanooga. I love being in a scenic rural area on a mountain, but being only 8 1/2 easy (no red lights!) miles from downtown Chattanooga!
What makes this property unique
Our rustic log cabin apartment is located on an organic mini farm that backs up to the Lula Lake Falls Land Trust.
