Amaroo is an indigenous word, meaning beautiful or lovely place. The home certainly lives up to this expectation. Surrounded by blissful scenery, from the balcony overlooking Western port bay or the balcony at the rear of the house, over looking farm land. Relaxing with friends and family in all climates is certainly envisaged.

The home is fully air conditioned and heated home, situated a short stroll from the water in Coronet Bay, Victoria. Only a short one and a quarter hours from Melbourne.

Upon entrance you're greeted with 3 bedrooms, all equipped with heating and cooling. Lounge, laundry and kitchen all for your use. Amaroo comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests.

The lounge hosts a wood heater, perfect to snuggle up in front of on cooler days and nights. Guests are offered complimentary WiFi. The kitchen is fully equipped and ready for you to entertain.

Location.

Amaroo is located in the peaceful town of Coronet Bay. A fabulous place to escape for those who want a safe beach for children and/or dogs, fishing or relaxation. There is a park on the foreshore, a little shop for the small necessities and walking tracks to explore.

A short drive will take you back towards Corinella and Grantville. Or you can head towards San Remo, Kilcunda, or Phillip Island for whatever adventures you may desire. Be it wine, shopping, cafe's, mini golf or galleries- you will find something to do!

Within Coronet Bay, La Provincia may entertain your taste buds for a meal or supply you local grown fruit, vegetables or other tantalizing produce. Or perhaps with a stroll along the coastal walks, you may find yourself at Fig & the Bay, which plates scrumptious food and drink while your outlook to the water sets the scene. Or perhaps, the children (or adults) may enjoy the challenges of the local BMX track near the local hall.

For the wild life lovers, bring your binoculars and enjoy watching a variety of birds and sea life. If you're lucky, you will spot a kangaroo or whale! Your opportunity for exploring, fun and adventure are endless here at Amaroo.

Dog friendly property close to the beach

My friend and I (and two year old Border Collie) enjoyed the location of this home, a short stroll to the beach and general store. There are two balconies, one with a partial view of the beach and a private one at the back overlooking the fields where we saw kangaroos. The kitchen was clean and well equipped, and the lounge / dining area was spacious. We appreciated having a bathroom each. The dog enjoyed running around the yard, and even though the fences are low, she was safely contained. We weren't able to use the BBQ as the gas cylinder was empty but we could have used the nearby BBQs at the beachfront park if we really wanted to. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Getaway

A delightful place to stay - well appointed, beautiful location, wanted for nothing. We looked at a lot of places in and around Phillip Island, and this was, all things considered, a no-brainer. Owners gave lots of info on the house and surrounding areas, all in all making everything very easy for a stress-free getaway.

Amaroo is definitely a beautiful home, it's very spacious, modern, comfortable and clean. Amy was such a wonderful host! Communication from her was always quick, helpful and friendly. She provided us with recommendations on where to visit, dine and explore. We enjoyed the quiet, laid -back atmosphere. It also wasn't too far to drive to popular Wonthaggi, Cowes and Phillip Island. Tranquility by the Sea

Amaroo is a tranquil home away from home. It offers a comfortable stay for up-to two families. It is well equiped with everything you could need. It has beautiful views out across the bay to French Island to the front of the property, with open fields where kangaroos play to the rear. Plenty of space for kids to play and a short stroll to the beach and a general store.

Lovely house in a great location

Beautiful house with water views from the verandah. Property backs on to a rural setting and Kangaroos came to graze each evening. Very roomy home for 4 people with lots of amenities, all streaming services, fast internet. General store is only a 5 min walk, also sells takeaway food and pizza's. Coronet bay is fairly remote, about 20 minutes from restaurants and shops. The host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend this as a great destination to disconnect and unwind.

First class from start to finish

This property has everything and more. Beautifully decked out, clean and little added touches makes it a home from home. From start to finish was perfect in every respect, with amazing communication, tips of where to go to eat or visit in the area. My only negative, and I’m picking here, was trying to eat out. We visited in between Xmas and new year. Anywhere we wanted to eat had to be pre booked well in advance. Sometimes days in advance. Was abit frustrating as we had never had to pre book before hand, when visiting pre covid. But we worked it out and still managed to have a perfect stay. Would definitely highly recommend this property. Thank you for a perfect stay.

Perfect Family Holiday

We had booked our holiday during covid lock down and hoped for the best come November , Amy kept in touch through out so we felt safe if anything was to happen so we could rebook or receive a full refund. We arrived a to find Amy's home everything we had hoped for and more a warm and welcoming host who was only a phone call away if we needed anything to make our stay more comfortable. The home was very clean and had everything you would need and then some, we enjoyed a BBQ on the expansive balcony with ocean views, we sat back and relaxed in the cosy lounge, our family of seven had plenty of room at the eight seater dinning table. I must say it was great that the second toilet was separated from the bathroom when you travel with a big family this is a luxury lol. We stayed in the second main bedroom and we need to ask Amy were she purchased the mattress as it must be the best mattress we have ever slept on and we travel all over the world. The bunk beds worked perfect for the kids and gave them space for some alone time when needed as well as the master with great bedding plenty of room for a portacot which was made up ready to go on arrival and the private balcony was a treat in the evening as we all enjoyed watching the wild life and the large mob of roo's. The last two days we had perfect beach weather and loved that a safe children's beach was walking distance as was the corner milk bar. All in all we had a great time exploring the area and will return many times we all voted and it was unanimous ,thank you Amy. Kathryn,John,Troy,Jade,Tahlia.Riley,Cooper and baby Madeline.

A fantastic place to stay. Great location, great property and great host.

Couldn't rate it highly enough. It was a beautiful property in a fantastic location. Amy was an absolute pleasure to deal with. The general store was handy too. My dog also absolutely loved his stay. He loved sitting out on the balcony watching time pass as well a running around the yard. I will definitely be going back again and can't recommend it enough to anyone wanting to stay near a close child friendly beach.

Peace & Tranquility

Thankyou Amy once again for allowing us to stay at Amaroo for a fabulous 2.5 week holiday. As in the past the house was equipped with everything needed to make our stay a happy and extremely comfortable time. As well as being extremely clean on our arrival it was so lovely to have the comfort of the wood fire with a plentiful supply of wood. Being the middle of winter we were blessed with beautiful sunny days & no rain. The sunsets were amazing. Look forward to returning again next year if not earlier.

Wonderful Summer Break
