About this property
Secluded OCEAN VIEW 2 bed 2 bath Home, convenient to Ceiba Ferry. King and Queen
Welcome Finquita Vista Alegre, our "little farm" with a happy view!. Come relax, take it slow, there's almost always a breeze, and views to Vieques. We're minutes from the Ceiba ferry/airport on about an acre in a 1500 sqft 2 bed 2 bath home.
Get away from the "tourist" side of things and love the country, simple, quiet living and the sounds of nature, this is the place! And if you want to get out and about, you're only about 10-15 minutes from most east coast areas of interest!
Tons of windows provide, a great ocean view to Vieques, and our balconies and outdoor spaces are where we love to spend time! Upstairs has a queen bed and bath, and the main living space as well as access to a washer dryer. Downstairs: think a hotel suite, with a king bed, Ikea sofa bed, private bath, private entrance and kitchenette.
Depending on the season you may find fresh bananas, mangos, passion fruit and many other edible fruits. There is almost always a breeze and a bright sunset that wakes you, and when it rains, sometimes it can be cool - we don't have central AC for that reason, as it's not needed - you may need a sweater. on rainy breezy nights. Open the windows to let the breeze in, and keep doors closed to keep the bugs, lizards, and coquis outside! There are AC units in each bedroom area if you feel you need them, they can be run while you are sleeping.
We love to sit in the pavilion and have coffee / beer / wine or have a nap in the hammock - and hope you will too! We want you to be happy with their stay and that means a ensuring we're a good fit for you. Our accommodations are simple and basic island style. Our stove (no oven working) works off of propane gas and is lit through a lighter. There is a small hot water heater. Sometimes the power goes out, and when that happens the water pump doesn't work (so no water) We'd estimate this happens once or twice a month for a few hours.
You're welcome to bring an air mattress and use any space you like for extra sleeping, although there is a small sofa bed downstairs. No parties or events are allowed (only registered guests).

About the host
Hosted by Lynne Hart

I am a Realtor and Real Estate Investor in St. Louis Missouri. I've loved and visited Puerto Rico for more than 20 years and finally bought my own piece of paradise. Its my second home, and I'm working on making it my first as soon as I can!
Why they chose this property
From the moment I got out of the car outside this home I KNEW I wanted it to be mine! The view was amazing, and the near constant breeze was refreshing. I love the sounds of the coqui's at night, and when first purchased, the house came with 20+ chickens which provided fresh eggs! Its a great place to just get away from it all and I love that we're still relatively 10 to 15 minutes away from beaches and entertainment when we want to be around people.
