This former farmhouse located in the heart of Albères, foothills of the eastern Pyrenees, is the welcoming and restful refuge of your stay; Close idu GR10, you will allow yourself to enjoy the benefits of peace and nature, and find a warm holiday whatever the season, after a day of hiking.

The "mas Iapetus" is one of the oldest farmhouse of the village of St Jean Albère; we gradually restore, trying to best preserve its authenticity, while providing the elements of modern comfort and environmentally conscious. Surrounded by meadows and wood on 3 hectares and bordered by two streams, it will make you rediscover the pleasures of nature.

With a total area of 82 m², the cottage consists of 2 bedrooms, a large living-dining room, a fully equipped kitchen with bread oven functional origin, a bathroom with sink and shower, and separate wc. Powered by a low-energy boiler gas heaters equip the entire house, giving it a very considerable comfort in cold weather.

Sleeps: A double bedroom + bedroom with bunk beds (couple with 2 children).
Additional possibilities: Double sofa in living room + covertible cots.

Déconnexion totale dans un cadre exceptionnel !

Cet endroit est idéal pour déconnecter ! Le gîte est très bien équipé, on n'a manqué de rien (il y a même une armoire remplie de jeux, de quoi occuper les enfants - et les grands - aussi bien en intérieur qu'en extérieur !) Le cadre est assez exceptionnel, avec des vues magnifiques sur les Pyrénées à quelques minutes du gîte. Antoine nous a très bien accueilli et conseillé sur les endroits à découvrir.

Pulito, comodo, attrezzato... però troppi punti negativi. Non torneremo

Nell’annuncio le foto mostrano una facciata della casa con grande giardino e molto spazio esterno. In realtà, quella è la zona privata alla quale non si può accedere. Quindi, niente giardino. L’ingresso della casa non ha niente a che vedere con le foto del casolare. Si entra praticamente dal retro che è sulla strada asfaltata (che anche se di montagna e senza traffico è comunque sempre una strada e non un giardino!). Si entra in casa, ma per accedere all’appartamento si deve prima passare per un salone, deposito di ogni genere di cosa con odore a gasolio. Finalmente si entra nell’alloggio. Molto carino, curato nei dettagli, caldo e accogliente, tutto molto pulito, ma… senza aria. C’è una sola finestra piccola in tutto il salone con cucina a vista (molto ben attrezzata). Ci sono due lucernari (e per fortuna!) che fanno entrare luce, ma il gusto di affacciarsi alla finestra e godere del paesaggio, te lo puoi scordare. I lucernari dovrebbero essere automatici, ma il telecomando ha le pile scariche… La casa sembra una caverna, seppur molto bella e comoda, sarà per l’effetto mansarda per via del soffitto che è un tetto spiovente. Infatti, ci sono dei gradini che scendono con un passaggio murato che conferma l’ipotesi della mansarda. Il bagno: in un piccolo vano c’è un gabinetto senza lavandino e senza finestra e in un vano a parte c’è solo la doccia e un lavandino. Insomma piuttosto scomodo, direi, oltre che poco igienico. Una delle due camere da letto ha una piccola finestra bassa (sempre per via del tetto spiovente), il materasso matrimoniale è piccolo e anche un po’ sfondato (si cade verso il centro). L’altra camera tutto ok, unica stanza con una finestra di dimensioni accettabili. C’è un terrazzino appena fuori dall’entrata, massimo due ore di sole, sempre in ombra, che da alla strada. L’esterno, a differenza dell’interno, non è curato. Nell’annuncio è scritto: giardino, terrazza e barbecue... Sono ammessi animali (non nel giardino perché non c’è), ma la zona è tutta con recinzioni elettriche e strade private. Inoltre non c’è copertura telefonica e il Wi-Fi non funziona, se succede qualcosa e hai bisogno di aiuto non puoi comunicare con nessuno. E se cerchi di distrati con la tv, i canali sono solo in francese o tedesco. Insomma, niente panorama, niente giardino, niente sfogo per il cane, niente internet, niente telefono. Costretti a stare chiusi dentro o a passeggiare sulla strada asfaltata. Peccato. Da non tornare.

Excellent séjour dans un gîte très agréable

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce gîte très propre, très bien équipé (notamment au niveau de la cuisine) et dans un environnement très ressourçant. Grâce aux conseils d'Antoine, nous avons pu découvrir les beaux sites de cette région et réaliser de belles randonnées. Nous remercions encore Antoine pour son accueil et sa disponibilité. Très beau gîte et excellente location

En pleine nature, magnifique gîte, très calme, confortable et joliment décoré. Le propriétaire y est très accueillant et disponible et cela a été un vrai plaisir d'échanger avec lui sur la région. Les équipements y sont complets et nombreux. Nous avons tous appréciés le moment passé au gite qui nous a permis à tous de faire une vrai déconnexion. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir au Mas Japet

Exceptionnel !

Le gîte niché dans la montagne et au milieu de la forêt est tout simplement magnifique! Il est propre sain et tres bien équipé ! Nous étions à la recherche d un lieu en pleine nature et au calme mais en même temps près de toutes les merveilles que la région offre et ce mas est l'endroit idéal! Merci à Sylvie pour son.accueil et notre rencontre avec les propriétaires à notre départ nous a réconforté encore plus dans notre choix. Nous venons de rentrer et nous planifions déjà notre retour au Mas Japet!

Goede communicatie voor aankomst. Er was helaas een storm geweest, zodat WiFi beperkt was. Hier werd wel de nodige moeite voor gedaan en 1 dag later opgelost. De lokatie ligt hoog in de bergen, dus beter om eerst boodschappen te doen voor het eten. Er is namelijk de eerste km niks in de buurt. Het huis is super en flink verbouwd. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig.

Weekend très agréable

Nous sommes partis un weekend de Septembre 2018. Le gîte est situé en pleine nature tout en étant proche de la ville. Accueil courtois d'Igor, habitant dans la partie supérieure du gîte. Très discret, il sait être présent en cas de besoin! Le gîte est très confortable, l'espace cuisine est conçu avec beaucoup de goût et de sens pratique et la terrasse est agréable et fleurie; nous y avons passé la plupart de nos repas! Merci pour cette belle découverte! A faire, tout près du gîte: Le marché de Céret (samedi matin) est magnifique, on y a trouvé de très bons produits locaux!

Superbe appartement
