Country Cottage is a beautiful, quaint, two bed room, one bath, cabin situated in a private setting on a farm. This cabin is perfect for a couple or small family that wants peace a quiet, yet be close to the area attractions. Country Cottage is less than three miles from I40 in the Newport/Cosby area. While staying in Country Cottage, you will be about an hour from Asheville and Knoxville, and about 45 minutes from Gatlinburg, which makes it the perfect "base of operations" for exploring our area. Beautiful Location

Cabin was beautiful. Mostly really clean, Had to go buy Clorox wipes to clean the stove and kitchen area. Would stay again

Cabin in the woods

Our bedroom was clean. The second bedroom was dusty. The shower floor had issues and the shower had cobwebs in it. There were wasps in the cabin. My partner was stung. The kitchen floor needed to be cleaned. We did manage to have an enjoyable stay after buying a few cleaning products.

This cabin is locations approximately 1 hr away from Gatlinburg tourist attractions so keep that in mind when booking.

Peaceful getaway

This place is perfect if your looking for a weekend to unwind and get away from the busy work week. Its cozy and private. The sound of nature at night is beautiful.

Nice, cozy cabin

It was a quiet and isolated place, which was what we were looking for. Wanted to be somewhat removed from Gatlinburg but still within reasonable time (~40 mins) and nearby grocery stores/restaurants (~15 mins). The place needs a little bit of up-keep. Blinds were old, one broke as we were trying to lift them up and remove lady bugs. Cabin had a satellite dish but no remote control to turn it on, but again not the point of this trip. We will consider it again when visiting the area.

Not ideal

When I was searching for cabins I wanted one with internet access and one fairly close to Smokey Mountain NP but I feel I was miss-informed on both. There was no internet and the park entrance was about an hour from cabin. Not sure if I miss-read info or of I was given incorrect info but if we came to SMNP again I would not stay here, but only because of location. Cabin was quiet, clean, stocked with esstentials and GPS worked fine to come and go.
