Casa A'way Stunning Ojai Bungalow w/ pool & sunset

Our cozy California Bungalow is at the end of a narrow lane. Upon entering the front gate, you will be greeted by pepper trees and expansive pebbled driveway. Our home sits on an an acre of land in the East End of Ojai. The front yard is beautifully landscaped with large persimmon trees and features a heated pool, lounge chairs and umbrellas. We live next to a famous meditation retreat, so this home is ideal for people looking for a quiet and peaceful stay.

When you enter the front door you will walk into a beautifully appointed, redwood-clad living room with large, comfy couches and a gorgeous view of the surrounding mountains and the Ojai Valley below.

Walk down the hallway and you will pass the light and airy guest bathroom with a clawfoot bathtub and shower and stocked with lavender shampoo, conditioner and soaps.

Continue down the hall to the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen has everything one needs to cook for your friends, family or large gatherings. The dining table is nestled into the corner nook with views of the mountains.

Walk through the kitchen out to the covered back porch and sit at the outdoor table, perfect for a morning coffee. A 12 person wooden dining table stands under pepper trees with views of the mountains, perfect for afternoon lunch or dinner under the string lights.

Off of the dining area is the guest bedroom. This room is our favorite! With two huge windows looking out to the Ojai mountains and the entire valley.

Continue back down the hall to the large main bedroom which faces the front yard, persimmon trees, pepper trees and the pool.

The main bathroom has a clawfoot bathtub and shower with lavendar shampoo, conditioner and body wash for a relaxing bath after a day of hiking or yoga.

Off of the main bedroom is the third, attached bedroom. Built in 1920’s, this was an artist studio with amazing light which has been converted into a bedroom with two full-size, comfortable beds - perfect for a family with children. Please note that this 3rd room has a separate entrance from the outside as well as an entrance from the main bedroom.
Head upstairs to the converted attic space that runs the length of the house which has been lovingly decorated with New England ship-lap. Divided into two large spaces, this room features a queen bed on one end, and a fold-out, full bed in a sitting area with lovely light and views. With room for the whole family, vintage charm and a resort style pool, this is an Ojai oasis that is guaranteed to rejuvenate, restore and recharge your tired chakras.

IMPORTANT:

-An additional $100 dog fee will be charged for each dog. No dogs over 50lbs. Dogs cannot be left alone at the house.

-Our neighbors are wonderful and important to us. All guests must be respectful and quiet. This house is only appropriate for people looking for quiet, resort-like space.

-All guests must be listed upon reservation. If additional guests join please notify us so that we can adjust reservation.

-The Barranca (the river bottom bordering the property) is an exciting place to explore but the rocks along the steep sections of the riverbank are unstable and we don't recommend allowing children to go exploring alone.

-On occasion, there is wildlife on the property such as coyotes, bears, deer and raccoons. - Do not leave animals or young children unattended.
-The pool can be heated for an additional charge of $125 per night. PLEASE NOTE: Because of the pool, this home is not appropriate for families with small children or children who do not swim.
-We have a strict NO PARTY rule. If you are wanting to have an event with more than 8-10 guests, we won’t be able to accommodate your request.
