The hosts were gracious and friendly, the breakfasts were delicious and the rural setting was peaceful and quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Benders B&B.
It was our first time staying in a B &B so we didn't know what to expect. It was a great experience our hosts were wonderful and made us feel right at home.
In Russian we have a saying that people do the place not the opposite. That's exactly the point in our case. Greg and Mary made everything so we stay pleased and enjoyed our trip. They been accommodating and and willing to help. Their place is clean and enjoyable. We felt like we been accepted into the family. Thanks a lot!
We couldn't have been more pleased with our first ever stay in a B&B! We were a little nervous at first because it was our first B&B experience but Mary, Greg, and the dogs quickly made us feel so welcomed. Breakfast was amazing and the amenities exceeded our expectations. We were in town to attend the Mothman Festival and had 3 kids, ages 8, 14, and 15 with us. We got to play pool and air hockey downstairs, we fed the cows one morning, the youngest took a dip in the pool, and we went fishing in the pond before we left. We had the best time and enjoyed our stay with the Bender's so much! We can hardly wait to visit again! Many thanks to our new friends, Mary and Greg!!
What a wonderful time we had at Bender’s BnB! A bit of a drive to hocking hills but worth it for the peace and quiet of the area. There is a small town with a great brewery and restaurant - arch and eddies- fantastic food there. Breakfast was good and varied. Home-made pancakes, Mickey Mouse waffles and lots of other treats. My kids especially loved the pristine swimming pool and the super sweet doggies. Mary and Greg were kind, thoughtful and accommodating. We would’ve liked to feed the cows and play pool in the epic basement area but we ran out of time! Next time!! Thank you Bender Family for a memorable trip ♥️ There’s much much to see in Hocking Hills and we plan on coming back.
The Bender's were very accomodating. They have their craft down to an art. They are both involved and I love that. They provided absolutely scrumptious breakfasts for us over Memorial weekend. Their B & B is immaculate. I felt welcome and valued as a guest in their home.
My friend and I enjoyed staying at the Bender's B&B. We just didn't fully realize it was a B&B due to limitations of the VRBO listing options. Once we figured it out, we were happy to ditch our instant oatmeal for an actual cooked breakfast. They even had alternative milk for those like me who need it. We also got takeout and a bottle of wine the evening after hiking all over Hocking Hills and were welcomed to enjoy it out on the deck. If it had been summer, we could have enjoyed the pool also.
Just FYI, they have a few dogs that go in and out, but they were all friendly. We would definitely stay there again.
This was our first experience at a bed and breakfast and it truly was amazing spending time on the beautiful country side. Mary's breakfast is amazing, and for them to open a bed and breakfast and share there home and farm life with us was amazing. They have everything from fishing in there pond to just sitting out side at the bon fire. Thank you Mary and Greg for having us
Peaceful, beautiful, friendly. Home away from home.
We just snuck away for a quick weekend, and are already looking forward to the next chance to visit this wonderful place! We were made to feel right at home as soon as we got there and had the best sleep, most delicious breakfasts, and the kids had a blast in the outdoor pool and petting their four-legged-friends for hours. Truly a recharge to the soul for all of us. Highly recommend! :)
Very comfortable. Great with communication. coffee was made every morning before work, which was great. They give you your space, but always ask if you need anything once they run into you. Little bit of a hike to run errands but not bad at all. Loved my room and bathroom. I have to come back to that town again and I plan on booking this home again. After a long day at work, I enjoyed coming back to the home and getting a welcoming committee (dogs)!
It was great love the setting very comfortable will be back for sure

We work full time jobs but aspire to be self sustaining farmers. We have cows, chickens, pigs and a small garden. This is our first step towards turning our home into a full fledged B&B.
Why they chose this property
Come and explore Southern Ohio, the scenery is beautiful fall, winter, spring or summer. If your a hunter or just married to one our place is great for deer, turkey or fishing. Curl up on the deck or next to the fire place. Plenty of room for kids to run or play inside.
