About this property

Diamond Bear, TN Nature on 140 acres with a lake! by RedAwning

Diamond Bear - 4 Bedrooms, 4.5 Baths, Sleeps 8

Diamond Bear, is a beautiful "manor" home. Upstairs you will find three (3)

bedrooms, each with private baths, plus a 1/2 bath in the entry hallway. The

fourth bedroom is downstairs, with another full bath nearby.

The great room layout features a chef's dream of a kitchen. Lay yourself back

on the sofa or recliner and enjoy the gas fireplace while watching TV. Head

outside to take in the views of the spring fed lake from the upper deck. At

the lake you can catch and release fish or feed the turtles.

Into nature walks or hiking? Adventure out on the 140 acres and it's mountain

and field trails. Roast marshmallows down by the firepit. Watch closely as you

might see lightning bugs dancing in the yard at sunset.

Time for games? Head downstairs to the den/game room for a bit of pool table

competition. Maybe a combination foosball/air hockey table is more

challenging. Let's not forget the arcade game. Your favorite TV games or shows

can be viewed while playing or just relaxing on the den sofa.

If you have a little business to conduct, there is a Meeting Room downstairs

with a table and 6 chairs.

Looking for someplace large enough for a family reunion or business get-to-

gether? There are 5 additional cabins located on the property (Parkland, Grand

View, Ruby Bear, Pearl Bear and Sapphire Bear). If you choose to have full

seclusion of this property and rent all 6 cabins, they will sleep up to a

total of 40 people.

Things to do nearby: White water rafting on the Ocoee River, gold panning the

local streams, hiking trails leading to beautiful waterfalls, visiting The

Lost Sea (America's largest undergound lake) and so much more!

Weekend Getaway

My friends and I had such a great weekend getaway at the Diamond Bear cabin! The house was beautiful, very clean, and had wonderful appliances and amenities. Definitely will be saving this cabin for future trips when visiting the area.

Wonderful

The cabin was better than expected. The game room especially the arcade game was a big hit, we also enjoyed the fish ponds. Things that could make this an excellent place 1)lockbox on door instead of having to go to the office for keys and then taking them back and 2)large garbage cans for extra garbage, (the garbage can on the back porch was full on arrival and we didn’t know what to do with it). Overall a wonderful family vacation.

Family trip

You can never be exactly sure what you’re getting renting something online so I was very pleased this cabin was better than expected. The game room was a hit especially the arcade game. We really enjoyed the fish ponds as well. If I had to nitpick the oven needed cleaning and the garbage on the back porch was full. A few things that could make this place better 1)large trash cans to put extra garbage in 2)lock box on door instead of having to go to office for the keys and then have to take them back. But we will definitely go back. My husband stated “This is one of the best cabins we have ever stayed in.”

Beautiful weekend getaway

We really enjoyed our weekend getaway for a birthday gathering with family. Diamond Bear is a beautiful property that exceeded our expectations. The only problem was getting there if you aren’t familiar with the area. Would absolutely rent this beautiful home again!

Spacious home with everything you need and more

Very spacious home with modern upgrades. Layout is good with four beds and connecting baths except for downstairs bathroom which is right outside the bedroom door. Has plenty of activities and ponds to fish. Definitely off the beaten path.

Wonderful and Relaxing

Amazing place and exactly as described! We had 4 couples and the cabin layout was perfect for each to have our own bathrooms and plenty of space for the week. We loved the deck/patio with a beautiful sunset view every evening. The owners had games, painting activity items, etc. which were perfect for relaxing days. The kitchen is very well stocked as well. As mentioned this cabin is very remote...keep in mind 20 min to the town of Tellico Plains. The town had great restaurants -- loved the bakery, coffee shop, and museums at Cherohala Skyway visitor center.

Relax time

the dog hair was extreme, especially on sofa blankets. The kitchen Counters were dirty. The wifi code should be in red book. The home is beautiful. We loved the deck & fire place.

Great Weekend Getaway

We had a great stay over Labor Day weekend. The house was very spacious and cozy. Beautiful outdoor setting. We loved hanging out on the deck outback at night. Very quiet and peaceful. The kids loved the game room in the basement, playing in the creek and fishing in stocked ponds. Close to several mountain and waterfall hikes. Thanks for sharing your property!

Sheets dirty and shower had hair in it

Directions were terrible. Could not find and trying to communicate with others on location with no cell service was very challenging. Had questions at end of stay and property manager was unavailable via email or phone. Tried vrbo chat and they could not help! CRAZY
