About the host
Hosted by Ron Stimach

I am a former auto mechanic now doing handyman work and home remodeling. I love taking a goal or problem with a space and engineering a creative solution that both looks great and functions well, so when the opportunity came up to build a house from scratch, I jumped at the challenge. I hope you will enjoy the environment of the Bird House as much as I enjoyed bringing it to life!
Why they chose this property
We wanted to build a house at the top of my hill that would take full advantage of the sun and the views in its quiet wooded setting. It took us a year and a half, but we did it all ourselves and it feels impressively large for it's modest size!
What makes this property unique
Super cute, comfy and cozy, with a huge deck to enjoy the best part of all which is the natural surroundings! We built in some pretty cool design features, but wouldn't ruin the surprise by listing them all here... ;-)
