The neighborhood was great and the house had everything we needed. It did have a musty smell but I opened the windows for a while and it was ok after that.
Everything was great. Nice location. Quick boat ride to Paradise Point Marina, great food. Nice part of lay lake w fewer stumps to dodge. Home was accommodating for our larger group.
This property was perfect for our little family. Cozy and loved the location. Ben was super accommodating for us as we were in between our homes from selling one to moving into another. Highly recommend and will be returning!
We booked this home for 3 nights when we evacuated Florida for Hurricane Milton. I can not say enough about how homey and welcoming this property was. It was perfect right on the lake, super secluded and quiet, and allowed us to bring our dog Jax. Ben was super communicative. We were so lucky to be able to evacuate to a beautiful property that allowed us to get our mind off of what was happening at home. We will Definitely be back!
Located on the water near a well run marina ! It is clean and worked perfect for the 3 of us ! We were able to dock all 3 bass boats at the dock ! I look forward to returning there on our next Tournament on Lay Lake !
Thanks
Barry
Exactly what we hoped for. Wish we would have had more time than 2 nights. Did some fishing off the dock, enjoyed the peacefulness of the yard and the lake. Driveway is very steep but we knew this ahead of time so no issues.
For the price couldn’t have been happier. Kids enjoyed swimming around the dock and were able to catch a lot of bream that was fun for the kids. Boat house could have been cleaner to use with boat to park inside and the dock needs some up keep. But still a great trip and only an hour away!
Musty smell, water dripping from upstairs into master bedroom closet, during hard rain second day an inch of water entered basement (prolly musty smell issue). Great location! All furniture completely mismatched items. But great location!
We stayed here for our fishing tournament at Beeswax Landing. It was in the perfect location and the boathouse was an excellent bonus. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Nice but needs work
The property is in s nice location. Nice view of the lake, safe residential area. There has been water damage to the inside with mold issues in basement and in closet on main floor. Sliding glass doors very hard to open and that could be due to foundation issues. Beds are hard and couches uncomfortable. Only one TV in livingroom. Oven needed cleaning. The owners are obviously working on updating the house. The driveway is very steep and we were worried about driving on the wet leaves on it. Lots of trees on property so lots of spiders an outside broom would have been nice to sweep them away. Need to bring your own canoe or kayak.
3 night stay and very relaxing. A few things which could have made the stay even better for us as we aren't members of the younger set anymore:
1- The sliding glass door leading onto the deck is very hard to open and close as there seems to be broken glass in the track..
2- For anyone who may have a problem with stairs this house has plenty...lol
3- I know a lot of people would not want a tv in the bedroom but my wife and I do. I tried the user name and password to connect to the internet to watch tv. I wasn't able to connect with it and when I was trying it was so late I didn't want to bother anyone so we used the mobile hotspot on our phones to watch tv...
Let me say that the things I mention here are not deal breakers just things that would have made the stay much better for us...PS: I recommend it to anyone who wishes for a quiet, peaceful,MOSQUITO FREE,relaxing trip away from home....Thanks to Ben and anyone who made this possible..RJ
I booked this VRBO for our family to attend a wedding at Sterling Castle. It accommodated my family very well. We enjoyed the view of the lake and the boat house very much. Ben was very responsive and was even able to stretch our stay 1 more night. We just had to extend our stay. Non of us wanted to leave. Thanks Ben.
