This is paradise! A house designed for relaxing and holidaying just 50 metres from the flags at MacMasters Beach. The Quintessential Family Beach House at Macs is the perfect house for a laid-back summer family holiday.
Think ... early morning swims, breakie on the front verandah, long lazy days under the beach umbrella, prawns & oysters for lunch on the front verandah, afternoon snooze, late afternoon beach cricket, sunset drinks and bbq dinner on the front verandah, board games, bed ... REPEAT!
If you’re looking for a relaxing beachside getaway to clear your head then the Quintessential Family Beach House is just the spot!
Our fabulous beach house with it's 1980s renovation overlooks the beach and park at MacMasters Beach, just a short walk to the flags and on to the surf club. It’s the perfect spot for you to slow down, lose track of the days and get back in touch with the small pleasures in life.
The Quintessential Family Beach House at MacMasters Beach has all the essentials and more that you need for your beachside holiday, including huge front deck to enjoy the vista, multiple lounges, indoor and outdoor, to lose yourself in a book, outdoor hot shower to rinse off the salt and a beautiful herb garden to add to your culinary delights!
A typical day at Macs might start with a walk to Burnt Honey at Copa to pick up a beautiful sourdough loaf, followed by an early morning swim, or maybe a surf on the point. After breakie on the front verandah, laze away the morning getting lost in a good book underneath an umbrella on the beach, with the occasional body surf. For lunch we love nothing better, than to pop into SeaCoast Fishing pick up some local oysters and prawns, the schoolies are the best, to enjoy with a crisp white on the front verandah. The afternoon generally requires a snooze, before returning to the beach for more body surfing and a game of beach cricket. The evenings start with sunset drinks on the verandah, followed by a beautiful bbq.
After dinner if there is still some energy to burn we love to get everyone involved in a board game while listening to some good tunes.
If cooking is not on the agenda then there are some great cafe/restaurants walking distance or just a short drive away. Our favourites are the surf club/Barefoot Cafe open everyday for breakfast and lunch and every Friday & Sunday night for drinks and dinner (2 minute walk), LooLoos Coffee Shack, best coffee in the area (15 minute walk via the beautiful fire trail walk) or for a more upmarket dinner there is Bells at Killcare (10 minute drive).
Macs is one of those special places where you can kick off your shoes and really switch off. It can be as active or relaxed as you want it to be.
We hope you enjoy the area and our home as much as we do.
LOCATION
MacMasters Beach is an ideal beach for the whole family to unwind. It is located on the Central Coast, NSW, between Bouddi National Park and Copacabana Beach, just 90 minutes drive from Sydney CBD.
MacMasters is a patrolled surfing beach (October Long Weekend – Easter Holidays) with a rock pool and lagoon for children. It has a great point break for surfers. And for those wanting to improve their surfing there is the famous Central Coast Surf Acadamy. Banavie Reserve directly in front of the house was totally upgraded in 2019, with fabulous new playground. Bouddi National Park provides great walking tracks to Little Beach or Killcare. And if you choose to visit in June, there is the 10km Five Lands Walk, from MacMasters to Terrigal.
MacMasters has everything and nothing! Looloos Bush Shack serves the best coffee on the coast and is walking distance from the house via the fire trail. The Barefoot Café at the Surf Club is open every day for breakfast and lunch. The Surf Club bar is open Friday and Saturday nights, with the Barefoot Café serving fabulous Thai food. There are no other shops! However, there are plenty of facilities close by in all directions: Kincumber has the best butcher and fruit and veg shop on the coast; Copa (at the other end of the beach) has a few needed shops – a bottlo, a pizza place, a newsagent and the fabulous new Burnt Honey Bakery; Hardy’s Bay has some gorgeous little shops to peruse; Avoca has the original Avoca Beach Theatre on the beach; and then there is Erina Fair and Terrigal with all the usual stuff.
DESCRIPTION
Ours is a house that has been in the family for just under 50years. It is the perfect house for the extended family or two families. The house has been extended many times over the years to comfortably accommodate holidaying families, with the indoors flowing seamlessly to the huge timber deck overlooking the beach and park or large back terrace.
The living areas lend themselves to wonderful holiday barbeques and entertaining.
It has multiple dining spaces - extendable table on the front verandah overlooking the park and beach; 3m dining table for twelve in the family room; and an extendable table on the back terrace with the BBQ looking up to the bush - each space fabulous, depending on conditions.
There are three lounge areas - on the front verandah overlooking the park and beach; in front of the fireplace; or in the family room.
The kitchen is extremely well equipped to feed a crowd, with large windows opening to the back terrace and gas BBQ.
The house has three bathrooms and an outdoor shower.
The house has easy off street parking for 4-5 vehicles (a absolute necessity at the height of summer when parking is at a premium!).
