Bee Tree Retreat - Mr. Lake Lure Vacation Rentals

Welcome to the Bee Tree Retreat, located on the 13th green of Bald Mountain Golf Course. This home has gorgeous views of Bald Mountain with walk out access to the course. Once inside, you're greeted by an open foyer and grand staircase. Off the foyer is first guest bedroom on the lower level. The light and bright guest room with queen bed and TV offers quiet-time downstairs away from the rest of your group.

Just around the corner is the spacious game room. With a wall of movies, flat screen TV, indoor shuffleboard, there's plenty of things to do. The comfortable game room also has a queen size sleeper sofa. A full guest bath with tub and shower completes the lower level.

At the top of the stairs you're met with an open inviting floor plan, vaulted ceilings, beautiful wood floors, and fireplace with gas logs. The living room features large sectional sofa with enough seating for everyone to gather, watch TV, and enjoy the fire.

The kitchen is ideal for cooking and entertaining. The oversized kitchen island with gas cooktop offers ample meal preparation space. Seating for four at the island is great for casual dining or a morning cup of coffee. Adjacent to the island is a high-top dinette for quick meals, and doubles as additional space for meal prep. The kitchen has everything you need: microwave, dishwasher, Keurig, traditional drip coffee maker, Verismo, blender, wine glasses, a variety of cookware, and plenty of dishes. Steps away is a formal dining room with seating for eight. It's the perfect place to gather for meals, games, or just planning the next day's adventures.

Off the kitchen is a new deck with outdoor table, seating and gas grill. Off the living room is a covered porch, where you can relax and enjoy watching the golfers play through their daily rounds.

The main living area is a split bedroom plan. The ensuite master bedroom is a relaxing escape with comfortable king size bed, TV, dressing mirror, and private bath. With a glass block and tile walk-in shower, the master bath also has a separate makeup vanity and walk in closets. Private access to the deck from the master is also a great feature.

The second main floor bedroom is a junior suite. This bedroom has a queen size bed, flat screen TV and private bath with walk-in shower. A full-size washer and dryer for guest use are also on the main level.

With a paved circular driveway, this home has level parking for 3 or 4 cars. Although this home isn't handicap accessible, it does have a ramp from the parking area to the side entrance for guests who may have mobility issues.

NC VACATION RENTAL STANDARDS
First, be aware that the North Carolina Vacation Rental Act provides you with certain rights and protections. Second, we would like to make you aware of a few local regulations designed to promote a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY LIMITS: The maximum occupancy limit for this home is 10 persons. You must provide us with the number of people and vehicles in your group. Violation of occupancy rules are grounds for immediate eviction with no refund, and fees will be charged to your credit card to cover any damages.
DESIGNATED PARKING: Vehicles must be parked only in designated areas on the vacation rental property. Parking in the roadway blocking the flow of traffic and parking on neighbor's property without permission are prohibited. Low clearance vehicles are not advised due to uneven driveways. There is parking for 3-4 vehicles at this property. No RV's trailers, campers, or oversized vehicles of any kind.
ACCESS: You will receive directions and access information once we have received a signed rental agreement securing reservation (this agreement will be sent to you for electronic signature) you will also need to provide a copy of your government issued ID to our company with current mailing address and contact information along with vehicle registration of each vehicle that will be at the home during your stay. You will be emailed check-in instructions 24 hours prior to arrival provided you have signed your electronic rental agreement and sent in a copy of your photo ID and vehicle information. If you go to a property prior to approval from our office before check in time you will be accessed an early check-in fee $50.
TRASH DISPOSAL: All household waste & trash must be placed in receptacles considered to be animal proof (e.g., durable with secured lids) when available unless advised otherwise due to increased bear activity. Please place all garbage in black trash bags and call the office prior to 3pm for pick up of 2 or more bags.
🐻***Please be aware that you'll be in "bear country" with potential wildlife encounters. For everyone's safety, kindly refrain from leaving food outside, always keep the bear-proof trash bin locked, and ensure your little ones and furry friends are supervised outdoors. If you're not comfortable with our bear neighbors, sorry this might not be the best fit for you.
MINIMUM AGE: You must be at least 25 years of age to reserve a rental property and sign this lease and must also be a guest at the property during the entire term of the stay. You must present a valid government ID at time of check in. If you are not 25, you will NOT be allowed to check in and no refund will be provided.
NO HOUSE PARTIES: We do not accept reservations from sororities, fraternities, spring-break parties, bachelor / bachelorette / wedding parties, graduation parties, or ANY similar groups unless approved at time of reservation. Mr.Lake Lure Vacation Rentals works very closely with local law enforcement to patrol our rental homes, and report to us any occupancy violations. Any violation of this rule mandates you immediately vacate home without refund, regardless of the remaining duration of your reservation.
FIRE PROTECTION FOR YOUR SAFETY: Fire Extinguisher and Evacuation Plan -This home is equipped with working fire extinguishers and a posted evacuation plan. Removing any of these from their designated location is prohibited. Avoid storing items not to block hallways, doorways, steps, entrances and exits. Small Outdoor Fires - When an area burning ban is in effect, bonfires are prohibited. Contact your rental home's property manager for information on any burning bans. Outdoor fires are only permitted in a place and manner approved by the Fire Chief.
LAKE ACTIVITIES: Lake water levels cannot be guaranteed. The Town of Lake Lure may lower the lake below full pond seasonally for dam repairs, sewer upkeep, silt removal, and to allow homeowners the ability to make repairs to docks and seawalls. Periodic lowering might also happen because of flood warnings, heavy rain, or other emergencies observed by the Town. Lake Lure is a man-made lake that is drawn down 12 feet each winter season for maintenance. This will impact shorelines and lake usage. Water will be back up to normal levels in mid-April. In all these circumstances, the Town of Lake Lure reserves the right to limit use of boats, kayaks, canoes, or other watercraft at any time as it deems necessary. SWIMMING: Do not swim farther than 50 feet from shore unless accompanied by an observer in a boat.
FISHING: A North Carolina fishing license is required, and all state fishing regulations apply.
BOATING: If a boat is provided with this rental home, please ask for and review the pamphlet entitled “Lake Regulations & Map”. If you wish to utilize your own boat on the lake, a permit is required and can be obtained at Town Hall or at the town marina.
PERSONAL CONDUCT: Trespassing - Venturing onto a neighboring dock or pier, boat house or property without the owner's permission is prohibited.
🚭NO SMOKING: Smoking, Vaping and Electronic cigarettes are prohibited in all our vacation rental homes. You will be assessed an additional cleaning fee if it is discovered you have been smoking and/or vaping in the home of $500. We ask that all smokers stay a minimum of 10 ft from any open window or door, do not stand near open doors or windows allowing smoke to enter the home while smoking on property. Please make sure butts and ashes are not left behind. Discard the butts and ashes in the outside garbage. Do not throw butts on the ground (including the fire pit) or bring them into the home. If there is any tobacco smell in the home after your departure, there will be a minimum $500 charge. Oil lamps and incense are not permitted due to the long-lasting odor. If these policies are violated, there will be a charge for excessive cleaning.
NOISE: Unreasonably loud noise is prohibited throughout the Town. Please observe quiet hours after 10 p.m. and be aware that sound carries very far over a still lake.
UNRULY BEHAVIOR: Behavior deemed disorderly and causing a disturbance to the public is prohibited. These regulations will be strictly enforced.
SECURITY CAMERA LOCATIONS: Please be advised our homes have forward facing entry area security cameras. We monitor for non-reported pets, over occupancy and number of vehicles.
PETS/ANIMALS: PETS/ANIMALS are NOT ALLOWED in this home. If you are found to be in violation of this rule you will be required to vacate the property and forfeit the remainder of your stay. You will also be assessed a fine of $500 for the violation. No refunds will be given! Service animals must be registered with the office prior to arrival.
RENTAL AGREEMENT AND TOTAL BALANCE: You will be required to sign a vacation rental agreement before your reservation is secured. Failure to sign rental agreement with-in 72 hours of booking, will result in cancellation of reservation and forfeiture of deposit. Any monies received by Mr Lake Lure Vacation Rentals for occupancy of vacation property indicated the acceptance of the terms of our vacation rental agreement in full. Your total amount listed on the Mr Lake Lure® Vacation Rental Agreement may be different from the amount paid to the 3rd party site you book through. All third-party sites charge differing amounts as service fees to guests for using their services. We have no control over those fees and do not collect them.
Please read your vacation rental agreement carefully before you begin your vacation. All policies are strictly enforced. It is the responsibility of all guests and members of their party to be familiar with all policies pertaining to rental.
ALL PROPERTIES OFFER AN INITIAL SUPPLY OF THE FOLLOWING AMENITIES:
Including, but not limited to: bed linens and bath towels (2 bath towels and 2 washcloths per Guest, 2 hand towels per bathroom sink), dishwasher detergent (2 loads) and dishwashing soap, new sponge, laundry detergent (2 loads), hand soap, (1 set per bathroom sink, including hotel size: 1 bar of soap, 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner and 1 lotion), paper towels (1 roll), toilet paper (2 rolls per bathroom), and garbage bags (2 kitchen bags, plus 2 black bags). If you don't feel this will be adequate for your stay, you will want to stop and pick up more on your way. All properties provide fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes, including coffee makers as well as some cooking utensils. Locked pantries and closets are reserved for the use of the Property Owner and are not accessible to Guest. Rearranging furniture or removing any items from the Property is prohibited.

Our cabins are protected by professional pest control, and we maintain additional services to help protect against mosquitos and Carpenter bees. That said, it is impossible for us to guarantee you won't see bugs. Depending on the time of year, it is likley you would see some bugs in any cabin in this region; this is an issue that impacts all cabins universally. If you do see bugs, please let us know so that we can schedule additional service. Also, please know that this is not a reflection of our commitment to quality, but rather a reality of renting a cabin in the area.

*** Lake Lure will be undergoing a drawdown starting January 1st, through the first quarter (March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet has been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. No personal watercraft will be allowed on the lake during this time. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. The house was very bright and clean. Kitchen has everything you can think of… except for the kettle. I had to boil water in the pot for the tea, as we had a lot of tea lovers in the house, but it was not a problem really. Other then that no complains.. the location is great with beautiful views

Clean, comfortable, great location!
This was a great location within the resort and had all the basics covered! It was super clean too. There were some small comforts we wished for - such as nonbreakable plates and cups for the kids in our group, koozies and a cooler for the pool/boat, throw blankets for cozy time on the couch - but all of our needs were met. The beds were very comfortable and we really enjoyed relaxing on the decks. It was helpful to have laundry on-site too. A couple of notes for future guests: there are no basics in the kitchen as far as ingredients go (bring your own salt, pepper, etc) and this house has a very wide staircase so you can’t put up a baby gate for little kids. We had a lovely time here and hope to rent the same place next year. The property managers weren’t flexible with check in/out times, so we will probably book it directly through the resort since they allow you to use the facilities before check in and after check out.

Family Vacation
The location was very quiet neighborhood with ample room for the entire family to enjoy. Due to bad weather we were limited to staying in, so the spacious room made it convenient for everyone to have their own personal space. We enjoyed the indoor pool and my husband and I enjoyed some relaxation in the hot tub while the others enjoyed walking around the lake. If you like to golf the course was beautiful too!

The house was the worst any of us had ever rented. -The extra-wide 17 step INSIDE staircase to the main floor is a serious hazard to both older people and children. The right handrail of the 17 step stairway did not go to the top of the stairs. There were NO HANDHOLDS in any of the showers. -The lower floor bedroom had no heat except for a plug-in space heater (no closet either). -No chairs in any of the bedrooms. -No instructions on how to set the HVAC thermostat. It's a modern design that works fine once you spend about 30 minutes of trial and error. Four remote controls were left on the living room table with no instructions on which does what. VERY frustrating - finally figured some of it out the last evening.

Great property!
I rented this house for 2 days for a total of 8 guests. The house was very spacey and clean. Renting price was fair. The only thing I would suggest is that they left detailed written check out instructions as far as how the house is supposed to be left for the cleaning crew since there was not very good signal. I now realized they sent me an email at midnight prior to check out time at 10 am. Unfortunately, I did not see it until after we left. However, I would 100% go back to this property and or recommend it to anyone looking for a nice play to stay in that area!

Great for groups
This was a great home for our group of 8. There were games for the kids to enjoy and plenty of gathering space in the kitchen and living room. The fireplace was a nice feature during our winter stay. Having access to the Rumbling Bald Resort was a plus. We enjoyed the indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. We played mini golf, large outdoor chess and checkers. The property managers sent us a ton of info before our stay and required forms to fill out in addition to what is needed from vrbo. I have always used another home rental site and had never had to fill out so many forms, agreements, upload licenses, car plates, etc. In the forms they sent, they let us know there wasn’t cell service at the home, so to print out the driving directions. We flew into Charlotte and I put the address into Apple Maps on my phone and it worked even when cell service got spotty in lake lure. They said check in information would be sent out 24 hours before the stay. I didn’t get the info 24 hours before. When I reached out the property managers they were great to always respond quickly. There weren't sheets for the pullout bed, but when we reached out, they sent housekeepers right away. The carpets didn’t look like they had been vacuumed. There was a dirty rag and cleaning spray left in the dining room when we arrived. The beds were clean and comfortable. The thermostat was on a schedule and we woke up to a 60 degree house the morning we left (it was 28 degrees outside). Check the thermostat schedule before you go to bed in the winter time. Overall a great place to stay

We enjoyed our stay at the house. The property was clean and as pictured. We had three couples, and each had their own well-furnished bedroom. We enjoyed the large great room and open kitchen the most. It is well-suited for group gathering, watching sports and movies, group meals. The property is very private and the resort has many activities and amenities.

Wonderful place to stay!
We stayed here for our wedding weekend. It was the perfect place for us! Plenty of space for multiple couples to stay, with adequate privacy when needed. Everything was super clean. We were skeptical how the wifi would be in the area but we didn’t have any problems with it at all! We definitely recommend staying here!

Clean, Inviting Home
When our friends wedding event venue changed, we were a bit nervous that we wouldn't be able to find somewhere nice to stay. Compared to accommodations our friends found, our house was a DREAM. It was extremely clean, the couch and beds were super comfortable. Very well stocked with towels and a nice little basket with some extras we might need along the way. The process felt seamless. There was not one bad thing I could say about the property. Would love to stay here again sometime if I'm back in the area.

Great house for a family getaway
House was as listed. Well equipped and appointed. The resort at Rumbling Bald had wonderful amenities and was conveniently located. Would definitely recommend!!

Nice Place
Loved the open floor concept. Has a nice view from the back porch facing the golf course. Was very close to the lake and all the amenities for the resort.

Great home near Lake Lure
If you want to be near Lake Lure and have access to the amenities of the Rumbling Bald Resort, this is a cost effective option for a family. The home was updated and close to the amenities including pool, tennis (though courts were being refinished), mini golf and lake. We rented a pontoon boat one day and toured the beautiful lake. We also ate at the Lakeview restaurant and it was a beautiful view and good food. There are important things that you should know about the Home though. One is that, while the main floor is very nice and well laid out, the finished basement/game room feels off on its own. It is about 65 degrees down there at all times and difficult to heat with the one space heater. Our children did not want to hang out or sleep down there. Our son slept on the couch upstairs. Also, the back deck does not have much of a golf course view in summer because trees are overgrown. Because of this, there is very little light that makes it to the house. It feels pretty dark overall. Lastly, the cleaners didn’t do the greatest job. Cabinets and drawers were dirty, as were corners in some areas of floors. There also were no extra sheets or pillow cases. We notified mgmt of these issues on the first day and they dropped off new pillow cases. Overall, cost for what you get is good.

Great Stay
Very nice place in a great area with plenty to do. We liked how the layout of this rental has 3 bedrooms, each with an associated bathroom that allowed you a bit of privacy tucked away in each corner of the rental. This was great as our group had some early-risers and some late-sleepers and no one woke anyone up just to get to a bathroom or common area. The kids also loved the pool with the lazy river in the clubhouse!

Great place to stay. Quiet and close to end of the road which lessens the traffic. It was close to the pool and beach area. The house was clean and spacious. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Very Good
Nice property, however extra pillows cases were not available. Also, sink plugged up but had to search for something to try to unplug it. Having the grill was wonderful. Would be nice to have salt and pepper available. Ran out of salt. TV in lower level game room was not working. In the cooler weather it would be nice to have some kind of gas firepit to enjoy outside.

You will be emailed check in instructions 24 hours prior to arrival provided you have signed your electronic rental agreement and sent in a copy of your photo ID and vehicle information. If you go to a property prior to approval from our office before check in time you will be accessed an early check-in fee $50.
CHECK OUT: 10:00 a.m. local time (or earlier) NO EXCEPTIONS. Housekeeping will arrive very shortly after 10:00 a.m. to prepare the home for the next Guest. Late check-outs will be charged the applicable daily rate or $50 per hour, whichever is greater to the credit card on file if the home has not been vacated by 1:00 pm.
