About this property

This upscale, refined Ruston 2BR/2 B is adjacent to Louisiana Tech University. Additionally the heart of downtown is only two blocks away that boasts a great variety of restaurants, galleries and shopping. The house features exquisite tile and wood flooring and a great park setting back parking. From the second you walk into this house, you will know you found the perfect spot. Your initial steps take you into our first living area which includes a full size sofa -- which may be used for an extra bed. As you continue into the house you will find the open floor plan kitchen and dining area. We have a handsome wood table that seats 4, and counter stools for 2 people. The kitchen, featuring granite counter tops and stainless appliances, makes a subtle, yet impressive statement and is well stocked with all the tools needed to create a gourmet meal.
The living area has a huge smartTV mounted. Our master bedroom has wood floors with high ceilings, a queen bed and full bathroom .

Our home is situated near all of the neighborhood comforts, such as the Dog House restaurant, coffee shops, Mexican and Italian restaurants. The Fashion and Chartreuse Pear, upscale ladies shops are just steps away. Louisiana Tech football at Joe Ailet Stadium is only a four blocks away. A little bit south will bring you to a bike route which runs parallel to railroad and connects La Tech to downtown Ruston, where you can watch amazing sunsets of the downtown skyline. If you enjoy nature walks, head to Lincoln Parish Park less than a 10 minute drive north with attractions that also include hike-n-bike trails and a lake.

Great Place but we were not prepared for the Train

This is a GREAT place if you are wanting to be close to campus. Clean, comfortable, good parking, and seemed to be newly remodeled. We, however, were not prepared for the midnight, 3am, 5am, 6am train whistles a few yards away (they did provide plenty of ear plugs). We were also unprepared for the very loud party-goers at the bar across the street. We were in town for a softball tournament with our 10-year-old so definitely not the spot for us since we were all dragging from lack of sleep. However, had she not been there, it would have been a perfect spot to go have some fun at the bar across the street and be able to stumble home. Also, so close to everything away and only about a 10 min drive to tons of restaurants. So, depending on what you are looking for, this could be a great place for the weekend!

Perfect place!

We were in town for our class reunion and this was the perfect place to stay. Very close to Tech and Dawg House where we hung out several times. Very clean!

Labor Day & The Dawg House

The property was as advertised, no surprises. The trains were very near the home and blew the horn during the night. The place was clean with comfortable beds and accommodations. The owner was very responsive and check in was easy. Great location and close to campus.

La Tech Tour

Booked this for 2021 La Tech Homecoming. Walking distance to main campus, downtown and football and baseball fields. Directly across from Dawg House Tavern and wasn't noisy, even the two nights they had a band; good hamburgers. This property is right next to the KC Southern Railroad tracks and a lot of trains go through there every day. I knew that going in, so it was just like my college years.

Home going celebration

The townhouse was nice, it was very neat, clean and well stocked with everything needed for a relaxing stay. The train was a bit distracting being that close to the house, however the stay was still very comfortable. Will definitely use again!

Perfect Location

This was my second stay in the last two years. The apartment is perfect for a short term rental. It’s centrally located for those that need to stay on the Louisiana Tech University campus. Only a 10 minute drive to Grambling State University.

Nice place in Ruston

Really nice townhouse, beds are so comfortable, kitchen well equipped, the only really bad thing its the train crossing every 2-3 hours day and night the rail road it just right next to the townhouse. Otherwise it’s a great place.

The apartment had everything I needed. I would consider staying there again. Beds were comfortable.The only issues was the apartments proximity to the railroad tracks and I couldn't get the sound working on the master bedroom tv. However we enjoyed the stay and would recommend to others.

Beautiful townhouse and Great location!

What a great rental! The owner was easy to communicate with and super friendly! The townhouse is so convenient to campus, all sports facilities, downtown shopping and all the great restaurants/bars. You can walk anywhere and the two reserved parking spots were easy to get in and out of. I was pleasantly surprised how well stocked and equipped this unit was with towels, detergents, soaps, dishes, etc. We would definitely come back rent this unit!
