This is a fun, friendly neighborhood with awesome neighbors. Treating the house and neighborhood with respect is expected. If that sounds good to you, I'd love to host your NOLA trip.
New Orleans is a port city with an active train system running through every part of town. The train is a block and a half from the house. If you are a light sleeper and coming to New Orleans for quiet, this is probably not the place for you. Sound machines, bluetooth music players and earplugs are provided in each bedroom.
Whether it's the train or active nightlife, there is no way to completely escape neighborhood sounds of New Orleans. It's part of what makes it cool. All that said, aside from the train, it’s a pretty quiet and safe neighborhood.
