Property was everything advertised and more. The sound of the creek was so relaxing. The cabin was awesome. We will definitely recommend and come stay again.
This cabin was just lovely, clean and exactly what I wanted for a little weekend get away. It was close enough to town I didn't feel isolated but still remote and quiet so that I could enjoy nature. The creek right in back was wonderful!! Thanks to the host who was communicative but still gave me space to enjoy the cabin. We definitley want to return, thank you!!
Lovely cabin, lots of charm. We're a family of four with two small kids and it was all we needed. The creek out back was a lot of fun for the kids. Would stay here again.
Wowwwww! U will not be disappointed in this lil piece of heaven. My husband I loved it.
Super cozy place we recommend it for family members and for couples it made us better because we got the quiet space we needed to clear our minds and be close to God. 5 stars hands down
My husband, son and I enjoyed staying at this cozy cabin so much! It’s absolutely charming and very clean! It’s close enough to town but also feels very secluded and peaceful. The owners are very responsive, the check in process could not have been easier! We can’t wait to stay here again!
Family had a lovely time during our stay in the woods. Although there are other cabins nearby, the area felt peaceful, private, and quiet, with just the sound of birds and the stream (plus my two kids). My 6 year old loved playing in the woods. Had to watch our toddler closely in the cabin to make sure she was gentle with things because cabin is historic. For an old property, seemed very clean. And we also appreciated how responsive Adam was.
The pictures don’t do this place justice! They did a fantastic job of updating the property without taking away from its charm.
The hosts were wonderful to work with. The house is cozy and very romantic. The property is beautiful and so quiet.
We’re already checking our calendars for when we can book another weekend.
We really enjoyed our stay. Cabin was beautiful, private and cozy. We ended up adding an additional night. Adam was very responsive , and went above and beyond helping me book the additional night since the app wasn’t allowing me to. Highly recommended and we look forward to visiting in the near future
I cannot give this property or its owner enough stars! This cabin is such a beautiful and authentic gem in the wilderness. The cabin is so quaint, but has just the right amount of modern amenities to give you a perfect stay. I did not want to leave! The beds were comfortable, the cabin immaculate, the surroundings peaceful and just the right amount of "remote". One note of caution. The driveway is very steep so if you come up during the winter months, make sure you have chains. We can't wait to stay again at the gem of a cabin in gorgeous Idyllwild!
This is a true mountain cabin, not a house in the mountains that someone is calling a cabin. It's in the trees, away from the road, and near the creek. Amenities are simple but adequate. If your expecting a perfect, modern mountain home, this isn't your place. It's amazing personality is due to it's age and it's charm is in it's many imperfections, and it has obviously evolved over a long period of time. It's easy to imagine the number of people that have occupied it over it's lifetime and and the stories it could tell. Part of this charm is that the floors and doors, quite understandably, creak and groan, and every sound that is made is heard throughout the cabin, so if that bothers you just be aware up front. It's good the driveway is fairly new, because it is steep, and might be difficult in wetter/colder weather. But the owners mentioned this in their pre-trip info so we were aware of it, along with everything else we needed to know for our stay.
Super quiet neighborhood in a beautiful setting. About a 15-20 minute walk into the village/town.
Even though the cabin is 99 years old, the inside has been totally updated. It’s really pretty inside.
Plenty of chopped firewood right outside for nice cozy fires in the cabin each night.
Newer refrigerator, cool older stove and coffee maker and toaster make it easy to make breakfast in the morning.
The owners are great, and were extremely responsive, nice people.
I would definitely recommend this cabin!
A nice rustic setting at first glance, however:
We found the place quite dusty. In a time of Covid, special attention must be placed in doing a thorough cleaning. The place was dusty even by pre-pandemic standards. The cleaning needs to be much more thorough.
Thank you Adam for sharing your wonderful cabin with us. The furniture was very comfortable and we loved the decor. The beds were also very comfortable. I would recommend your cabin to everyone.
VERY happy with our stay at this quaint cabin!!
Kitchen small but nicely appointed (modern fridge, stove, sink). Bathroom nicely remodeled, nice hot shower. Beds very comfortable. Bedrooms lots of windows makes for nice view from your bed.
Cabin feels rustic, but is very nicely set up. Tucked away far from street amidst amazing tall trees and endless greenery. Back deck was awesome!! Charcoal and gas grill perfect for hanging out with lush greenery all around and up to the sky.
Communication with host was flawless.
We had a very nice time in the cabin. It was clean and comfortable. The stream behind the cabin was nice to hang out by. The location is great. It's a short distance to town.
Comfortable, clean, historic cabin along the creek
Wow. This home is everything we were hoping for and more. The new and old features in the cabin are so well done. It’s really beautifully cared for and restored. It’s apparent how well the owners thought out the design and updating without losing any of the special history. Also, they provide a very helpful booklet about the town of Idyllwild.
The cabin was extremely clean upon arrival, and it was easy to keep it clean with all the tools and supplies available to keep house during our visit. Comfortable beds and plenty of space for our family of 5.
The property is beautiful and peaceful, set back from the road and along strawberry creek.
It’s a really special cabin. Clean, comfortable accommodations. And the hosts are kind and helpful.
Had an excellent time at Adams cabin in Idyllwild. Spent the weekend with my wife and 2 toddler boys and was exactly what we wanted. Pictures don't do this place justice . Just absolutely perfect for a mountain getaway.
