Hidden Canyon Gem - Private Lower Level
Our home is a tri-level level house on a canyon. It's close to SDSU, Qualcomm Stadium, Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, and Lake Murray. Sea World, Downtown/Gaslamp, San Diego Airport, Beaches, and Baja Mexico. There are tons of great restaurants nearby. We are about a 15-minute drive from all major attractions. You’ll enjoy your own entrance, amazing canyon views, a large deck, 100" projector screen, surround sound, a new full Kitchen, a hidden bedroom, and the huge great room.
This amazing space has a private entrance on the north side of the house down the stairs. It features a bi-level bedroom hidden behind a bookcase door with a full-size bed on the upper level and a full-size bed on the lower. A large great room (700 sf) for watching movies at the end of a long day at the beach, there is a 100" automatic projector/screen with surround sound, Bluetooth media, Amazon Fire Stick, and HDMI inputs. You have access to a large deck (200 sf) with lounge chairs and views of the canyon. There is a full kitchen stocked with all the necessities to cook your own meals. Lastly, the backyard features a large observation platform with wood slab benches and a wood fire stove.

It’s important to point out that we are not a good fit for groups who are coming to San Diego to party. No parties are permitted in the space and we cannot tolerate guests coming home from the bars or clubs in the early morning hours.
We live in a residential neighborhood, so we ask for very little noise after 10:00 pm and quiet from midnight to 7:00 am.
With regard to location, please note the description and the map. Uber or a rental car are needed to get to most places here in San Diego. We are about 15 mins away from everything. Location is the only thing we cannot change so please make note of where we are in relation to everything to make sure it is a perfect fit for your stay.
If you have any questions or need any recommendations, please let me know. We are happy to help make dinner suggestions/reservations, arrange for an in-suite massage or private yoga session on the deck.

About the host

We’ve lived in San Diego since 2011. We are happy to call it home! We are avid travelers who discovered the joys and benefits of vacation home rentals as an alternative to traditional hotel stays years ago. With kids, we don't get away to travel as much as we used to, but we find that the world can come to us. We've loved getting to meet people from all over and learn about different cultures through the eyes of our guests. Blake is a former Naval Aviator now working in the corporate tech world. Kelly owns an insurance company and enjoys working in her spiritual business. When not working on or playing in our home, you will find us enjoying family time outdoors with our three kids or sneaking off for a weekend away. We are proud of the home and property we have painstakingly rebuilt over the past 7 years. Parts of it are still a work in progress. We are so happy to be able to share our home and the unique home base it offers to others.
