Relaxing stay
Great location to explore mid coast Maine. Relaxing views of the water and lots of ospreys and eagles, out of the way but not isolated. Rooms were clean and had everything needed for a family. Host was very friendly and helpful.

Gorgeous !
The place was cute, quaint and just what we needed to unwind for a few days! Pat the host was super nice and accommodating throughout the entire process. We were there for the Thomas Point Bluegrass Festival and the property was only minutes away. We saw seals playing in the bay, eagles among other wildlife. What a treat! We hope to be able to stay at this spot again soon!

Beautiful property
Quintessential Maine property. Pat’s home is absolutely beautiful. It’s conveniently located close to lots of activities to do (museums, beaches, restaurants, shopping, etc.) She is a very lovely host. Non-intrusive and very responsive when needed. She gave great suggestions on things to do. We had a very relaxing and peaceful stay and appreciate having been able to share Pat’s home so we could enjoy the Maine coast.

Great Visit to West Bath
This is a beautiful property that feels secluded yet is just a short drive to Bath and Brunswick. Wonderful views of ocean coves. Lots of eagles and ospreys. Kayaking was great when tides and wind allowed. We were there during the July heat wave and because only the bedroom has AC the main room in the apartment got quite warm during the day. Much cooler down by the water and in the evenings.

Maine's finest
We've stayed at a variety of properties all over coastal Maine from Kennebunk to Bar Harbor. This is the best place we've stayed without question. Feels very remote without being difficult to access, stunning scenery, kayaking, hiking close by, great host.

Wonderful Stay in West Bath
The efficiency apartment was well located with access to the water on three points and filtered views of the water. While the bathroom is small, the space allows for complete privacy. Pat, the owner is most gracious and accommodating but respectful of your privacy. Great location with easy access to Bath, Brunswick, Popham Beach, and the Botanical Gardens. We also enjoyed just relaxing at the property.

Beautiful Spot
We had a lovely stay. The apartment is located in a spectacular setting attached to the main house. While we spent much of our time working, there is much to do in the area and the outdoor area, weather permitting, provides lots of places to lounge and take in the ocean, trees and animals. Super relaxing. The host, who lives in the main house, is kind and helpful!

Best vacation ever!
Pat the owner is the host to beat all hosts. She went out of her way to make sure we had the best most comfortable stay possible. From wildflowers in the apartment to boat trips for lobster. All this and one of the Maine coasts prettiest water views where we swam and kayaked. Back home, we don’t just miss being there, we miss Pat! ;-(

The perfect coastal experience
Having been to Maine before (moving around to multiple B&Bs), this trip and wonderful property allowed us to "home base" from a beautiful location. The Host is very accommodating and knowledgeable. It is just minutes from anything you need yet once on this tidal slice of heaven, you feel removed from the world. We feel so fortunate to have spent several weeks on this secluded spot and to have met the owner. A true and quintessential Maine experience...

A cute studio apartment on a private peninsula
I loved my week in Maine. The apartment was perfect for the two of us. I was looking to "get off the grid" and this wonderful location fit the bill. I loved the quiet seclusion of this property. I actually teared up when I drove up to the house and saw the setting and the view of the ocean. I enjoyed watching the tide go in & out. I liked how close it was to nearby points of interest. Pat was very accommodating. I hope to return!

A little piece of heaven!
What a wonderful getaway! The apartment was perfectly clean and the property is stunning. The bay views are so peaceful and wildlife is everywhere. We saw so many deer while we were there! Pat is an absolutely fabulous host. She was wonderful to chat to and even took pictures of us playing in the yard with our daughter. She was on top of it when we needed something but was also happy to give us privacy. We even had a little accident with a soda can chipping the pine floor and she was great about it. We offered to pay for the fix but she wouldn’t hear of it! The location is out of the way but close enough to downtown Bath and Brunswick that there’s plenty to do. A trip to Boothbay Harbor or Freeport is easy and quick! If you’re thinking about booking, stop — just do it! You’ll have a wonderful time.

Great experience
The apartment was spacious and light-filled yet with a cozy feel, very comfortable bed and chairs, and all the implements we needed. Sitting on the porch in the morning was delightful as was waking up to the sun through the large windows in the bedroom. The property is very spacious with many comfortable places to sit and amazing views out over the bay. It was tempting to just sit in the hammock and read while occasionally looking up to take in the beauty of it all. Pat was a wonderful host and gave us recommendations that turned out really well. We enjoyed everything about our trip--the planned and unplanned parts--and choosing this location with Pat as the host made that possible.

The Way Life Should Be
Our short stay with our 2 boys (10 & 12) and our dog was nothing short of amazing. I grew up spending summers in Maine, just a few miles up the road, and it felt like I was able to recapture some of those memories and make new ones with my family. The property on the edge of the water alongside the dock were great for just sitting around...and great for striper fishing. My family and I caught 9 nice fish on the incoming tide, just a couple of hours before the given time for high tide that day. We grabbed a few keepers on bloodworms, but we threw them all back for the next family to catch. The home is less than an hour from a number of awesome destinations. Finally, Pat couldn't have been more accommodating. She really went out of her way to make us feel at home, and our dog was especially fond of her. She was just a text message away and was able to provide a number of recommendations for places to visit, grab a bite to eat, or markets to pick up some fresh seafood to cook at the house. We would definitely go back, just for the striper fishing alone!

A tranquil gem on a beautiful, quiet cove
This place was heavenly. Walking down to the point with coffee in the morning, listening to the shore birds and watching the tide ebb, was restorative and relaxing. Our family of 4 kayaked and swam in the cove (rented kayaks from Seaspray and had them delivered), went hiking in the Hamilton Audubon Preserve across the cove, watched seals pop up just off the dock at high tide, and read books in the hammock and the Adirondack chairs. We made dinner each night (except one, when we went to a great restaurant in Bath called No Coward Soul). The guest unit's kitchen is small but well-appointed. We used the outdoor grill and ate at the elegant cedar table on the grassy terrace next to the blooming roses in the garden. A lush sweep of lawn overlooks the water, and you feel like you're on a small estate. Pat is a wonderful host - warm and down-to-earth, not obtrusive but so, so helpful and kind. The guest unit is spotless and home-like. Best sleep ever. Would return again in a heartbeat.

Amazing!
This rental was everything we were hoping for and more. The views are breathtaking. The property is secluded and peaceful. The apartment is exactly as pictured and described. Clean and welcoming. Pat (and Ranger) are perfect hosts. Gracious and generous, Pat’s knowledge of the area and suggestions were an added bonus to a beautiful stay. The apartment is private and doesn’t feel connected to the house. It felt like we had our own private cove, with welcomed occasional visits from an old friend. We kayaked the cove and beyond often. We saw seals, eagles, osprey, and even a mink on the shore of the point. Our dog even enjoyed climbing the rocks on the shore and splashing around in low tide looking for various sea life. We even made a day trip to Acadia, about an 2 hr 45 min drive. We were able to hike multiple trails and see a lot. It was an easy drive and worth the travel time. I can’t say enough good things about Pat and her Broad Cove property!

A slice of Heaven
We had a lovely stay in West Bath! Our host, Pat, was easily reached by email prior to our arrival and greeted us when we did arrive. Along with her sweet dog, Ranger. The property is reached by driving down a long dirt road. The end of the road opens up to a lovely view of the home and a cove beyond it. Gardens with a variety of perennial flowers surround the home. A very picturesque setting!! The accommodations ( "apartment")were up a flight of stairs and included a living room area with a pullout couch, comfy seating ,a small table and chairs, well equipped kitchen and a small balcony to sit and have coffee, a drink or read. The bedroom was bright with a comfortable queen bed. There were shades to pull down if bright sun in the am isn't what you like. This apartment was attached to the main house but was surprisingly quiet. Beyond the house is a point of land where there is a dock to swim from , sit and read or to watch boaters, fisher people and clammers. We had a delightful time and I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. Shopping ,tourist activities and restaurants are within short driving distances. ENJOY!!

Stunningly lovely Maine waterfront location
Few private properties on the coast of Maine have as much land and water frontage as this West Bath location. It is at the absolute dead end of a private road. A huge grass field surrounds a large house with attached rental unit. The property owner, Pat, was friendly, interesting, and unobtrusive. The grass field leads to three separate points of land into the tidal waterfront, one with a dock. The natural beauty is staggering. It is quiet and private. The rental unit is clean and bright, with views of the property and water. Both Bath and Brunswick are easily reached for restaurants and shopping. Ice cream. Seafood. We fully expect to return again. Our Sheltie concurs.

A perfect stay!
Our stay was wonderful! Our rental met all our priorities: to be away from crowds (but not remote) and to be in a beautiful area with views of trees and the ocean. Most importantly, the owner took great care to clean and disinfect the apartment to meet COVID guidelines, including leaving several days between renters to air out the interior. We had everything we looked for and more. The apartment is very tastefully furnished. Its living area and balcony have amazing views of the grounds, trees, and water. The kitchen is remarkably well-stocked and the bed is comfortable (with a lovely view of the stars at night and treetops in the morning). The bathroom has ample hot water. The rental is close to a local, side-by-side fish and farmer’s market, and a seasonal ice cream store, plus fantastic bakeries in nearby Brunswick. Our city dog absolutely loved racing around the spacious grounds off-leash. We also enjoyed walking most days on the private road that runs a half mile through the forest. The owner was incredibly welcoming and thoughtful throughout our stay. We very much look forward to returning next year!
