This home is located in the incredibly beautiful Estes Park valley just outside the gates to Rocky Mountain National Park. This location does require you to have a car. Once you are inside RMNP, there are shuttles that will take you from lower parking lots to the highly desirable Bear Lake area. Remember that Estes Park is in the Rocky Mountains. It sometimes snows or experiences inclement weather. Please account for this when determining your route, vehicle and timing. Refunds will not be granted for inclement weather unless extreme circumstances are in play. Late arrivals are fine since you will be able to do self check in with your door code. Take care driving on the mountain roads, follow posted speed and parking signs and watch for park rangers and police. They are nice, but you will likely be ticketed if you are not following the rules. 4 Wheel drive is nice but not necessary to enjoy all that the Estes Valley/RMNP have to offer.

Check in is 4pm and check out is 10am. Guests can request early or late check in for additional fee and if availability allows. Requests must be received at least 3 days before check in date. Due to strict covid 19 cleaning protocols, late check in and early check out is less feasible lately, but you are welcome to ask.
As your hosts, we aim to make your stay as comfortable as it can possibly be! Our mission is to help our guests create beautiful family memories in our cozy home. This is to ensure that if there is any reason the House Rules cannot be followed, you, our guest, will have the option of cancelling the booking penalty free as we have a Strict Cancellation policy. Thank you in advance and truly appreciate your cooperation!

No Parties or events.
Only registered guests are allowed on the premises at any time during the reservation. There is a fee of $100 per undisclosed person per day on the property. The max number of guests allowed on a registration is 8 which is limited by our short term rental permit through Larimer County.

No Smoking/Vaping or burning of candles allowed anywhere on the property, this includes marijuana! $500 fine for violating this rule along with the guest being required to vacate the property immediately.

No pets - $500 fine for violating this rule

No exception to check in/check out times (4pm check in/ 10am check out) unless agreed to with the host at least 3 days in advance.

No shoes inside the home. Please use the rubber trays next to the front door to store muddy/wet shoes

Do not use the premises for any illegal activity. Any suspicion of illegal activity will result in guest being required to vacate the property immediately.

Noise – quiet time is from 9pm to 8am. Please respect our neighbors and the quiet mountain community and enjoy the peace. Any noise complaints will result in the guest being required to vacate the property immediately.

Light pollution – The Estes Valley and Rocky Mountain National park is a dark sky community….Isn’t that cool!!??? When all parties are in the home, please ensure that outside lights are turned off. Enjoy the stargazing!

Do not climb on the rocks directly off the back deck. Those belong to the neighbor and it would be trespassing (enjoy the cool view though).

Parking – the maximum number of vehicles is 4. Please park directly in front of the house/garage and do not obstruct the road.

BBQ/Propane Fire Pit – Feel free to use these items. Be sure to turn the propane all the way off when done. Clean the grill and fire pit after use. If found left dirty, an extra cleaning fee of $50 will be assessed.

Occasionally we may leave consumables such as condiments or snacks that may be left behind from other guests. We try our very best to ensure that it is not expired or stale. HOWEVER, ultimately, it is up to the guests' discretion and inspection to consume these items if they wish. The host does not take any responsibility for the consumables.

Security cameras are installed on the outside of the home for your safety and security. Tampering with the exterior cameras or the WiFI within the home is grounds for termination of your stay. There are NO cameras in the inside of the home.

Please wash all dirty dishes before check out. If unwashed dishes are left additional cleaning fees will be applied.

Please return all remotes for TVs, Fireplace and Ceiling fans to their original locations. Fee for lost remotes is $50/ea.

Report any possible damage to the host right away. Damages will be billed to the guest and reported to AirBnB. It’s always better to let the host know if there has been an accident rather than finding it after you have checked out.

Lastly, because this is an AirBnB community, not a hotel, and is also our home when we stay in Estes please be respectful of the property and tidy it up before you leave. (Respect our property and our things).

If you have read it this far, THANK YOU for being a SUPER GUEST!

You can really tell the hosts care for this property and its renters. There was a welcome snack basket and handwritten card when we arrived. They Thought of Everything
From the moment we first communicated with the hosts of this property until we checked out of their home, we felt welcome. The family-friendly snacks, games, high chair, and play pen made traveling with young children a breeze. This beautiful and comfortable home situated in the mountains just minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park was perfect for a memorable weekend for my family and me. Thank you so much.

Lovely Home and Great Location
We rented this home to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday and to spend time with our son, daughter-in-law, and 6 year old grandson. We found the home to be very welcoming and comfortable. The hosts have put a great deal of thought into it, with virtually everything you’ll need for a wonderful vacation. The hosts were also very communicative and provided helpful information about the area and RMNP timed entry permits. Another great feature of this property is its location to RMNP. It is just a few minutes away. We could not have been more pleased with our decision to stay at this property, and we would highly recommend it for anyone looking to spend time in Estes Park and RMNP.

Best VRBO in Estes Park
My family has stayed in Estes Park several times and this was the best experience/house yet. The careful care and attention by the hosts really shone through. From the extremely well stocked kitchen to the house manual explaining the town and surrounding area, it was clear this property was a labor of love for the hosts. All the little extras made for a very comfortable and easy stay. I can’t recommend this house enough!

Amazing Colorado Family Adventure
Wonderful time staying here for our first family vacation adventure to Rocky Mountain, Colorado. Jeff and Rene', the owners went above and beyond our expectations! They left a sweet note and snacks for all our kids, very well stocked kitchen complete with "emergency meal", baking supplies, lots of cooking essentials, even went out of their way to bring us extra equipment for the tv and a surprise s'mores kit! The home was beautifully decorated, our kids loved the games and comfy beds, plenty of room for our large family of seven. We loved the peaceful deck, fire pit, and quiet neighborhood. Our older children could also easily walk/run/bike the 1 mile trip to town. Best vacation! Highly recommend and look forward to coming back!

About the host

Hosted by Jeff and Rene'

Host profile image
Hi There! We are Jeff and Rene' and we are excited to host you in our Estes Park Mountain Home. Estes Park and RMNP in Colorado is one of our favorite places in all of the world. We love to hike, snowshoe and watch for wildlife. Beyond our love for Estes Park, we love to travel and have been around the world together. Our favorite destinations so far have been Banff, Canada, The Taj Mah Jal in India, anywhere in Italy and the Big Island Hawaii. Colorado is our home base. Jeff was born and raised about a hour from Estes and Rene' transplanted to Colorado in the early 90's. It's definitely home for us and there's no place we would rather be.

Why they chose this property

Estes Park/RMNP is a very special part of the world. If you have never been before, the beauty will blow you away once you experience it. We love the accessiblity this property has to all of the ammenities you need (i.e. grocery stores, restaurants) but also the feeling of being in nature. We have wildlife visitors almost daily. The property is also very easy to access and does not require 4 wheel drive unless there has been an enormous amount of snow. Finally we love the location of this property because it is less than one mile from the main entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park which makes it a perfect basecamp for all of your rocky mountain adventures.

What makes this property unique

Watch for wildlife and enjoy the views but please do not approach any wild animal for photos or to feed it. There is a game trail that leads right behind the house where deer migrate through every day. We also enjoy the occasional bear sighting during the warmer months. They are usually hungry, so be sure not to keep any snacks or food in your car over night.

The Estes Valley is a Dark Sky Community where light polution is not allowed. Please be courteous and turn off all outside lights when members of your group are inside the home. Make sure you walk outside at night to catch some amazing stargazing!
