Our rental is spacious Studio condo. One of the nicest and best locations at the Kihei Bay Surf. Central bottom unit with tennis court garden view, quiet first floor location away from the street, and fully equipped!!! King Size Bed, new wood laminate floors, granite counter tops, Full size pullout couch/futon, fully equipped kitchen, linens and towels provided, new appliances, flat screen tv, blu-ray/dvd player(with access to Netflix and other online services), free wifi wireless internet, beach gear, Pool, Hot Tub, Tennis Courts, and more. Only steps from the beach.

Laundry Facility is temporarily unavailable due to flooding in January 2023 with no projected reopening date.

We are now accepting reservations for the remainder of the year and into 2024 and beyond.

Great vacation stay

1st time in Hawaii. There was 30 of us vacationing for a wedding. This place was close to our friends. Great location, can walk across the street to the beach. Just a short drive down the street there was many places to eat, and shop for souvenirs and groceries.

Kitchen was pretty well stocked, even had spices in the cabinet. Air conditioner worked well. Too bad laundry is not available at the moment. Close to the beach, market and restaurants are close by as well. Comfortable

Great atmosphere

I had a lot of fun staying there, it's close to the beach and in a great location that has access to tons bars and food within a mile or two. I met some really great people at the condo and made a bunch of friends. If you have any issues the managers are friendly and helpful. Overall it's definitely what I needed for a vacation.

Quick restful night in Kihei

It was a quick overnight stay. The place was perfect for us for one night but there were household pests in the unit and did not realize it until the morning.

Great place!

Great stay in Maui

They did a renovation after a flood this year. So everything in the condo seems new including the flooring which is nice. The place is nicely decorated as well. It was easy to find. The only issues I had was a towel that smelled bad and there was ants everywhere (on floor, on the sink and table). Maybe that’s from the tropical storm Calvin? Overall, a great stay!

Wonderful stay in Kihei

This place was a great spot. It was newly renovated and was clean. We didn't use the space for much more than sleeping as we were out enjoying all that Maui has to offer each day, and the mattress was very comfortable. My only "complaint" is that the fitted bed sheets kept sliding off the mattress causing us to get up in the middle of the night to reposition them a few times. Not a huge deal and wouldn't deter us from staying here again.

The instructions on finding the property were spot on. Had some issues and the owners were easily reached and helpful. One even flew in the next day from another island to fix the TV. Awesome! Location was perfect for us and we ate at the suggested restaurant Da Kitchen which proved enjoyable. Saw many locals going their.

Great beach crash pad!

Great little spot! Nothing fancy but worth every penny. Very accurate listing - The bed is comfy, tv was great, ac was cold. Most of the appliances and kitchen supplies are older but everything works and is pretty well stocked. Beach supplies and towels came in handy. Very cool beach across the street where turtles hang everyday. There is an Indian restaurant “Monsoon” close as well, great for sunset or a night cap. Also, a great sushi spot “Isana” right down the street which is one of the best on the island. Had a great 3 week stay.

EXCELLENT Unit, Wonderful Owner Communication, GREAT Complex

Everything about our stay at this unit in Kihei Bay Surf was better than we'd hoped. The studio itself was bigger than it appeared in the photos. It was very well-equipped, we wanted for nothing. I cooked every night and found all the cookware I needed. Never used the dishwasher but, there was one. We used the poolside BBQs a few times as well. For our packed lunches (yes, we were doing a budget Maui trip which suited us perfectly), Aaron had thoughtfully provided not one but two coolers. Plenty of towels (beach and bath). Beach and pool stuff. Nothing overlooked. The bed was enormous and very comfortable. Our daughter used the pull-out sofa and was very happy with it, unlike many she's slept on before when travelling with us! It was an easy day/night transformation from bedroom to living room. I really enjoyed watching DD and DH playing tennis from our lanai. There is a partial ocean view over the tennis courts, in the near distance but, who needs an ocean view when the perfect little beach is just steps away, across the street? We don't. Not at the cost of an additional $100-$200 per night anyway. The entire complex is very well-mainted. It's extremely attractive. I t's not just the buildings that make for a great stay though, it's the people and the people here are wonderful. It seems to be about 50/50 owner occupied and rentals (short and long-term? not quite sure). The day we arrived they were having a St. Patrick's Day pot-luck pool party and the day we left it was an Easter Sunday was another pool pot-luck. A few days into our trip, when a resident saw DD's sunburn, a bottle of aloe vera gel was presented as a gift, to help her deal with it. We spent our evenings enjoying DVD's, loaned to us by another neighbour. We benefitted from beer and groceries, offered to us by departing vacationers. When a guest saw my husband hitting tennis balls agains the court wall, he asked for a game. It's just that kind of place. Nice people, nice surroundings. I know that, by it's nature, each rental unit will have it's own owner and will deserve it's own review but, I can say without hesitation that as a complex, Kihei Bay Surf is a great one for travellers like us who are looking for a clean, attractive, well-located and friendly place to base ourselves for Island exploration. This unit itself is owned by people who clearly really care about your holiday enjoyment and have decorated and outfitted their unit accordingly. Well done, Aaron et al! Thank you.

Aaron and Marchelle (married) and Andy(best friend) purchased this unit in June of 2011. We gutted and totally remodeled the entire unit to create a modern and updated living space that we would feel comfortable staying in ourselves when we visit Maui.

When we aren't hanging out in Maui you can find Aaron and Marchelle hiking and exploring the mountains of Colorado, or Andy working hard and partaking in the busy city life of New York City.

Why they chose this property

It was hard finding the perfect way to vacation in Maui. After several vacations we finally stayed at the Kihei Bay Surf and loved it. We rented here several times through the years and loved it so much we decided to purchase our own condo here in 2011. Many of the units here are in major need of updating and some located too close to the noisy South Kihei Rd. This unit was perfect for us because of its quiet first floor location, private Lanai, and partial ocean view. We made it a priority to get this place up to our standard 'nice and inviting'. Too often do you see the wicker style furnished units in Maui. We wanted a more luxurious, seaside themed decor.

BEST DEAL IN KIHEI and in MAUI (in our humble opinion)
