Set amongst fields of sunflowers and the famous Cognac vineyards. Les Cygnes Noirs is a family friendly, hotel quality, property, run by a very attentive and welcoming host.

Perfectly located for visiting the historic towns of Cognac and Saintes, as well as the wider Charente-Maritime area. Les Cygnes Noirs sits in the hamlet of Le Grand Moulin, offering peace and tranquillity to our guests.

During the summer months, you can enjoy our swimming pool and relaxation areas as well as free use of the barbecue and two separate indoor cooking areas, perfect for your al-fresco dining.

Séminaire annuel des copains "Les Délinquants"

Le gîte est très fonctionnel. Nous avons passé un très bon moment tous ensemble malgré un temps plus que pourri. Nous n'avons pas pu malheureusement profiter des installations extérieures. Les propriétaires sont très courtois et compréhensifs. Merci pour leur accueil.

Weekend de PACS avec les témoins/amis

Ces trois jours chez Paul et Elena resteront un très bon souvenir 🙂 Accueil extra, de nombreuses attentions de la part des propriétaires, on ne s'ennuie pas aux cygnes noirs piscine, billard, des pièces spatieuses. Tout était réuni pour que notre séjour soit très bon !! Encore merci et à bientôt lol.... Louis et Aurore

Fantastic and tranquil

Paul and Elaine made our stay so easy. Beautiful property with a great pool and patio area. Special thanks to Paul who couldn’t do enough to make our stay perfect, even set up a big screen projector so we could enjoy the rugby. If you’re looking to relax in beautiful rustic surroundings, this is the place for you.

Very tranquil.

This is an ideal place to get away from a busy lifestyle. The owners live next door and are very welcoming, we had a welcome basket with things in for breakfast the following day. This is not a place for people who have mobility issues as there are no toilets on the ground floor, not very convenient when you are round the pool and have to go to your en-suite bathroom, the stairs leading to the bedrooms are extremely narrow and steep. There are no restaurants or cafés nearby so self catering is essential. We had a very relaxing stay.

Having worked in and owned manufacturing busnesses, the time came to step away from the constant routine of everyday life.

France had always been a favourite destination, both when holidaying and visiting customers. Once we had made the decision to completely change our lifestyle, there was never any question where we wanted to settle.

We are now happily settled and thoroughly enjoying hosting guests.

Why they chose this property

Whilst looking for a property to buy, we booked a single night stopover and fell in love with the house. After finding out that the house was for sale, all of our planned viewings were cancelled and before we knew it, we were the new owners.

Since taking ownership, we have made some small improvements and have plans to further enhance our guests experience

What makes this property unique

We reside in a separate part of the house and are very conscious of our guests privacy. During your stay with us we will be on hand should you have any questions or special requirements and our presence also ensures the grounds and pool are maintained at all times.
