Welcome!We love hospitality and are excited to host you at ElKen Retreat in the small, quaint East TX town of Canton!You'll be treated to personalized touches throughout your stay and are sure to walk away with a happy heart because of your experience!
This private King suite has a wonderful Serta icomfort bed and a sofa sleeper. 4 can easily sleep here with room for 1 more guest on a comfy rolling bed. (over 2 guests, there is an added fee) This is one of 4 rooms and a large Gathering Place that we offer @ ElKen Retreat!

Your host is a Licensed Massage Therapist with his office/spa behind our home. Add this awesome upgrade to your stay(message us)! ($100/hour Added fee- pay after services; not available on Sundays)

A delicious breakfast is included, as well! Depending on the day and schedules, options include omelettes (made to order🎉) or egg casserole, homemade biscuits, bacon, gravy(normally served on Saturdays); french toast & sausage (normally served on Sundays); or a continental breakfast(normally served on weekdays). If in a hurry, no worries—we’ll send you off with something yummy! 🙌🏼 We serve breakfast in our dining room or on the back covered porch/pool deck area. If your stay is more than 3 days, we’ll chat about breakfast options on days 4+. We communicate before or during your stay to accommodate our guests as much as possible!

This space was just completed in 2020... 3 large bedrooms with 3 bathrooms (walk in showers) and a large gathering space with commercial kitchen and half bath. One bedroom has a Serta icomfort (so comfy) King bed and sofa sleeper. Two bedrooms have 4 twin beds (also comfy Serta icomfort beds with high end bedding!)... All rooms have extra space to add a roll in Serta cot for another person. Also available is our King bedroom (attached to our home; separate from this space, but on same property).

Pool and hot tub are just outside your private room 😊 Hot tub is under a covered porch. Hot tub is closed during the summer and pool may be seasonal - inquire! Hot tub is for guests 18 and older only.

Retreat for the weekend: girls trip, Bible study, scrapbook, quilt, spa, leadership retreats, business retreats.
*Retreat pricing is available that would include:
*2 night minimum stay
*Tell us why you are coming and we'll accommodate (pricing can vary)! Spa can include infrared sauna, massage therapy by licensed massage therapist, hot tub, facials, aromatherapy, saltwater pool.
*Use of the Gathering Place - a great room with 3 large tv's, kitchen (rules apply), tables, chairs, relaxing environment, etc...we will accommodate your needs!

When you arrive, you'll park on concrete or asphalt, walk through a lovely gate and enter into your own private retreat. Walk around the pool to your room. If weather permits, you can enjoy the pool and hot tub, along with a very large covered back porch with tables and chairs.

We do have 2 cutie goldendoodles, Hazel and Blair- who may greet you and “talk” occasionally..we quiet them as quickly as we can!

We stayed the weekend at this retreat for a shopping trip. We were very happy with the location and ease of checking in. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. They have really thought of everything anyone could possibly need. The room had everything to make your stay comfortable.

The best anniversary get away

Jason and Jennifer are the very best hosts you could ever ask for! They both definitely have hearts for hospitality and they do it well. There are so many personalized small touches that make your stay really nice. The breakfast every morning was phenomenal. Our long weekend was the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary.

Wonderful Place

We enjoyed our stay at Elken Retreat. Our room was so cute with lots of added touches. All the rooms surround a beautiful swimming pool and the grounds are beautiful. It’s very close to Canton Trades Day which was a definite plus. They also provide breakfast on the weekends and that was fabulous! The hosts are so friendly and helpful. We have definitely found a keeper!!

Canton's Best Kept Secret B&B

We have no complaints with this adorable B&B, a Hidden Gem in Canton, Tx. The room was just as pictured, clean and well equipped with everything we might need. The owners were attentive and friendly. We will defiantly tell our friends and family about Elken Retreat. Book NOW, you won't be sorry!

We absolutely loved this place. Jason and Jennifer are so great and very friendly. Their attention to detail was great. If you are there for a special occasion ( anniversary, etc) the little extra touches really make you feel welcomed and special(don't want to give away any of their surprises). Babymoon/Birthday getaway at First Monday

Jennifer and Jason go above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need. The pictures, though wonderfully staged, don’t do it justice. It is a beautiful little property with all the amenities one could want. And the breakfast was amazing! Such a sweet family and sweet place to stay for any type of getaway in Canton. Definitely recommend and will be back!

Hidden Gem

Huge Thanks to the Host Jason & Jennifer. Perfect location, easy access off Interstate 20. We were in town for a wedding and so Happy we found this adorable place. The most comfortable bed, great A/C 😁 Clean, spacious room. Thanks for the treats, bottle water’s. Breakfast was delish !!!! Perfect setting over looking the pool. Highly Recommend Elken Retreat ❤️

Loved our stay here!

What a sweet place! We were looking for a quick getaway with a pool and breakfast and this was above and beyond our expectations. Gracious and welcoming hosts. We stayed in the king bed room with a very comfortable bed, crisp linens, tv, refrigerator and microwave with many extra amenities. New construction including a salt water pool. Tasty breakfast. Not to mention the great shopping in Canton! We will be back.

Excellent Getaway

My husband and I had an out of country vacation planned for his birthday that had to be cancelled due to Covid. We decided to search for a place not far from home where we could spend a few days stay-cation and boy did we hit the jackpot! Lovely owners and beautiful place

Jason and Jennifer are amazing hosts! They are so welcoming and thought of everything. The little details made our stay extra special. We felt like we were at a friend's house during our stay. The suite was so cute and comfortable. It had a huge shower and the king sized bed gave us a wonderful night's sleep. The pool was gorgeous and we enjoyed being able to come back from a long day of shopping to relax in the pool. Breakfast was amazing both mornings and we enjoyed visiting with Jason and Jennifer as well as other guests during this time. We will definitely book again and again!

Best B&B in Canton TX

This B&B was by far the best I have ever stayed at. Jennifer and Jason were amazing and so kind! They literally had everything you could possibly need in each room. The room was very clean and super comfortable. They have a beautiful pool right outside you can enjoy and also a fire pit to cook s’mores! Jason cooks a delicious breakfast every morning. Just Perfect!

We went for a weekend getaway for our anniversary. The hosts were very attentive and helpful with any request we had. The room was exactly as described. Bed and bedding were outstanding. The room was spotless with lots of tiny personal touches. We will definitely be back! PS If you have time for a massage...DO IT!

Much needed R&R!!

As silly as it sounds, I can typically gage a stay upon arrival after looking at the quality of toilet paper provided LOL And upon peeking, I knew this stay would not disappoint!! The hosts went above and beyond what was advertised adding in personal touches to wish my husband and I a happy anniversary. Breakfast was happily delivered to our room after expressing our wishes to just relax along with multiple inquiries checking on us and fresh baked cookies at night and an invite for s’mores! This was our first stay @ ElKen Retreat but definitely not our last!!!

Sad we had to leave

Well we just got home and wish we could turn right around and go back. We felt so at home there the privacy and freedom the owners gave us was amazing but it was also awesome to see and visit with for a bit each days they are such an awesome family!! The pool is beyond amazing we spent a lot of time there. All the recommendations they gave us for things around the area were great. I had just the best time bonding with my son for my birthday and it honestly meant the world to me because we have been in isolation at home for almost 5 months now and we are a family that travels often. Thank you Jen and Jason for making us feel at home away from home and safe to let go of some stress. We will be back and will recommend to all our friends and family !!!
