Not what I expected/host offers everything but compensation.
The apt itself was large but full of owners personal property. This trip was very important to me and my family as I had been treated for lung cancer all year and had surgery in April with a fairly good prognosis but warned not to tax my lungs too much. We checked into the 4th FLOOR unit Thurs. eve., by Mon. the elevator broke down. We had a 2 day trip to Naxos and my family left 3 days later. It was extremely difficult for me to manage by myself let alone with groceries etc. Erikos the host, was very friendly and seemed quite sincere when he said someone would fix it the next day, someone came the next day but it was not fixed however when I told him of my cancer and recent lung surgery he said, due to the holiday and everyone in Greece being on Vacation no one would come until the following Monday. This broken elevator was fixed after 10 days. My family were only with me for a short time and went home long before anything was fixed. I only went out once a day and even that proved too much on my lungs and I became ill to the point I brought in a Dr. who prescribed a ten day regimen of meds and determined my lungs had been overworked by the stairs and carrying groceries/packages while going up. The neighborhood is an upscale area and nice in general. The only view of the sea from the apt. is on the balcony searching between buildings. The walk to the beach is a 15-20 min. walk and you must bring your own chair/umbrella. At no time was I offered any compensation for my ordea
