Three wonderful days at Lucy's Cottage. Good size rooms, comfy beds, full bath and large shower provided. Plenty of room for off street parking. Generous pantry staples provided as well. And great location close to shops, restaurants and pubs
Lucy's Cottage is a gem of a property. Beautifully renovated, lovely open plan living and fully stocked kitchen, lovely bathroom and 2 toilets was a bonus. We really appreciated the touches such as a pantry of help yourself bit and pieces such as cereal and coffee, the fresh bread, butter, Timtams and jam. It was very warm while we were there and the aircon was brilliant. Highly recommend as a wonderful, comfortable home away from home in a great location. Thank you Bev :)
The house was immaculate with every convenience you could need. Fantastic location within 5 minute walk from whatever you wanted in Kyneton.
Generous backyard was a massive bonus!
So nice so much room marvellous shower, very large garden great for all if we could give it more rhan 5 stars
would do so.oh shops just next street over , but so quiet
all the best thank you again johanna and TJ
Adorable Lucys Cottage was a perfect place to stay during the crisp Melbourne Winter! Warm and cosy homestay that had everything we needed. My 92 year old grandfather accompanied me and we had great access through the back door...no steps inside and a shower that he could easily access. Also really practical having 2 toilets.. Lovely Lucys Cottage with sweet charm from the past...a trip down memory lane for Pop!
It was so good to be in Country Victoria. We loved the home filled with character and love, from the little touches of bread in the Pantry to the milk in the Fridge. Lovely host and we would visit again.
The house actually looks better than the pictures in terms of space. The food provided was of nice quality and Bev our host was certainly generous. The claw bath was lovely. . Convenient off street parking, really comfortable living area and flowers on the kitchen table and Xmas spirit decorations added a nice touch. . Well appointed kitchen, great stove. Bedrooms were spacious and roomy.

At Lucy's cottage
The shower was nice and the kitchen however it was disappointing that there was no washing machine .In the plan we just saw the laundry and assumed there would be a washing machine-in fact we were astounded that there was not a washing machine as this the first time in over 45 years that we have ever not had a washing machine in a holiday house. The salt shaker in the pantry was nearly finished as was the instant coffee and there was no pepper at all.Every lamp was unsuitable for reading so we had to take the shades off and use two together. There were no books and the dvd collection was pretty awful, given that only free to air tv was available,The kitchen was nice however if there is a microwave then one expects a selection of microwave safe containers... the cheap plastic bowls nearly melted and did not feel safe to use. All of the doors jammed and we were trapped in the bedrooms and had to yell to each other for help. The back door froze locked and we could not open it from the inside or outside. As this was very unsafe we phoned Bev and it was fixed but it froze up again on the day we left. When we arrived the gas had been disconnected and we had to phone Bev who got it fixed asp but it is embarrassing to have to ring about issues. We put the recycle bin and the red bin out on Wednesday ready for Thursday as requested but when we came back from Bendigo someone had moved the bins( maybe the gas guy/and then the red bin was not emptied at all. In addition, the lounge chairs were really uncomfortable like nursing home chairs, there were only about 8 pegs for hanging out the washing and the back yard could have done with a mow and trim and tidy. I would say less focus on nick knacks and more focus on practical stuff. The bathroom was nice but having a picture of a bath with a telephone tap and hose and then saying please don't use the telephone taps connection because it leaks is not very good as everything should be in working order if it is advertised Towels were nice and thick and the loo paper was well chosen, fruit bowl and flowers nice but we would rather have had the practical stuff as mentioned
The house and location was perfect for our girls weekend away. The double choc Tim Tam's were greatly appreciated 😊. We walked so much as everything was so close. Parked the cars on Friday afternoon and didn't used them again until we left on Sunday. Thank you Bev.
Wow what a fantastic property Lucy’s Cottage is! Close to everything. Food shops..so comfy! ❤️
Came up from Melb for a special birthday girls weekend away. Arrived to a warm comfy house (July) that was perfect filled with lovely extras. Beds super comfortable. Clean and welcoming! Breakfast provisions were plentiful. A lovely weekend enjoyed by all. Thanks so much Bev for being so accommodating! Would definitely recommend & coming again as there’s so much to see and do!
We loved Lucy's cottage! Excellent location, amenities fantastic, warm, cosy light filled house with everything we needed on hand. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location with Piper and High streets a short stroll away. We loved our stay in the cottage with everything you could want there waiting for us
This is our third stay at this property.
It’s brilliant! This trip there were four senior adults. The house is beautifully renovated, but still maintains its period charm. The floor plan is well laid out, including three bedrooms with double beds (very comfortable) and plenty of closets. The walk in large shower is perfect for us oldies.
Easy access off street parking for up to three cars is a bonus, especially for unloading and reloading.
Also you don’t need to bring a thing. Everything you would expect at home is on hand. In addition fresh bread, fruit and other goodies were waiting for us.
We had bbq the first two nights and ate out on the third.
It’s two minutes walk to the main shops, including a fabulous coffee shop.
Further, you can ring Bev the owner (who lives locally) if you’ve got any questions.
Lastly, the fresh flowers and magnificent Christmas tree decoration were a lovely touch. Thank you Bev.

This is our second stay at this location.
I was a little disappointed at the garden during my first stay, but I must say this stay the garden was in great shape.
The house itself is a practical design, extremely clean and has every possible item you could ever think that you might need. The host Bev has bread, milk, jams and lots more on hand for guests, Her communication is spot on, even if you forget the access code at the last minute, Bev will come straight back to you with the info.
Finally, the location is perfect. Walking distance to all Kyneton has to offer.
We will be back.
