Designed with the traveler in mind, we offer a comfortable, private entire apartment with WiFi and easy, self check in.
Access from the mudroom to find a large 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom basement apartment. Two comfortable bedrooms, both with queen sized beds come with regular and memory foam pillows. Extra blankets, plenty of towels, simple step-in shower with soap, shampoo and conditioner always provided.
Keyless entry in your private entrance, plenty of street parking available in a safe neighborhood close to everything. Lounge on the comfy couch and stream content, work from the desk and office space, or sleep on a 3rd queen sofa bed in the living room. Our basement apartment has everything needed for a short or long stay. Please note that sound transference may occur in our historic home.
Local neighborhood pubs with late night food are around the corner. Walking to Mt. Tabor Park is about 15 minutes and you can easily spend a morning or afternoon exploring the cinder cone of this ancient volcano.
Dine at Powell Seafood Restaurant, Thai Avenue, VL Deli, The Lodge Bar, or walk about 5 blocks to Lay Low for a local pint.
We are located about 30 minutes by car from Multnomah Falls, Forest Park or Washington Park for a day of exploring or hiking. We are also a quick 18 minute drive from PDX airport (or about 1 hour by public transit).
We are minutes’ drive from 82nd Ave where you will find The Jade District filled with Asian eats and bakeries, or endless grocery, dining and shopping all at a reasonable price. Division St. is at the other end of our street here in the South Tabor neighborhood. Division Street is often referred to as "restaurant row." Within minutes you can find restaurants, brews, shopping and nightlife.
Other nearby neighborhoods worth exploring include: FoPo, or the Foster-Powell neighborhood (fun nightlife and restaurants), Hawthorne Blvd (vintage stores, fun shops, a branch of Powell's Books, excellent dining, or the Bagdad or Hawthorne Theater), Belmont District (cafes, shops and cocktails), Montavilla (eats, treats, outdoor dining, and a small movie theater) or the Sellwood Neighborhood (home to Oaks Amusement Park with one of the oldest continuous oak wood skating rinks, dining and antique stores).
You can choose to drive across town to the Alberta Arts Dist, Mississippi Ave or St. John's Neighborhood (home to Cathedral Park) in about 20 minutes, where you can find local music, fun bars, brews and more great food.
We highly recommend a visit to Mt. Tabor Park right down the street or Washington Park to see the Portland Rose Garden, Portland Zoo, Hoyt Arboretum, or so much more.
Head downtown by car in about 15 minutes to visit the expansive pedestrian waterfront trails and rent a Nike Biketown E-Bike (through the Lyft app). Visit the Portland Saturday Market, walk through Chinatown/Old Town (which has changed a lot, but the city is working hard to revitalize) and grab a cup of coffee from Deadstock Coffee and grab huge donuts from the original Voodoo Donuts, or explore the Pearl District, it's galleries, breweries, Powell's City of Books and NW 21st and 23rd Avenues where you can take in a Timbers or Trail Blazer's game or visit restaurants, shops or the local breweries.
