Remote luxury with lots of snow!
Booked a long weekend in January. The host was great communicating with us before we arrived on the road conditions. Check-in was great. The cabin is upscale, clean, and quiet. Over the weekend we got a few feet of snow reached out to the host and he arranged for a plow to come take care of the road so that we can get out. We plan to come back and stay in the summer and highly recommend this property.

Great work week!
We booked the cabin as an alternative to staying in a hotel in Boise while we were there working for the week. Loved the seclusion and the drive in and out. Added to the daily adventure. The house was great. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed.

Amazing Escape
Coming from the NYC metro area, spending a week at the cabin was a fantastic break from the grind. The house was beautiful and had everything I could have wanted. The property was ideal for outdoor exploring, grilling or just relaxing to enjoy nature. Was able to see a herd of Elk come through, wild turkeys and even a coyote one afternoon (he was not close and ran off, no danger). I would 100% recommend the cabin to anyone who enjoys the outdoors and a comfortable, but secluded, getaway.

If you are looking for a house away from it all where you can experience nature look no further. Well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen, bathroom. Tons of movies, karaoke a wood stove, 2 outdoor fires and a hot tub. Everything in the house is new and clean with tons of bedding. 2 things to be aware of the house requires a 10 min drive on dirt roads and is an hour from Boise so stock up before you get there.

Lucky Us!
This is a great place. It is very clean and has plenty of space. It also has all the amenities you may need, albeit some items at an extra cost (such as kayaks, bug spray, and toothbrush/toothpaste). The hot tub spa has been upgraded to a swim hot tub spa, so it can handle easily up to 10 people. We walked around the property and enjoyed the wonderful views. Finally, we were fortunate enough to meet the owner. What a great person! He was very nice and courteous and cared about our comfort. I wouldn't hesitate to rent from him again.

Exceeds expectations!
We were so pleasantly surprised with this rental. It was much further up tucked away in the mountains than we thought, but the drive past Robie creek was beautiful. It was a bit of a rough drive up but all our cars made it fine. The home was very clean and completely stocked. The kitchen had all appliances, cooking supplies, even toiletries like shampoo were provided. Plenty of towels and bedding. They had board games under the kitchen island. There were tons of items for purchase as well, like charcaol, Wood and snacks. We did have to move some fragile decorations to keep away from Young kids. Wi-Fi was a bit spotty to have multiple people or for movie streaming. We saw a few deer and elk just outside the cabin. Would definitely stay again!

Great getaway!
This was such a great property for a trip away from the hustle and bustle of life. It was about an hour outside of Boise, up a remote (and steep) winding dirt road, which was perfect for us. We ate a couple times at Hilltop restaurant about 20 mins away from the cabin, and did a trip into Boise to play in a pond with the kids one day, and otherwise packed in some groceries to eat breakfast & snacks at the cabin. The cabin was clean and updated with all the modern conveniences you'd want. In addition, the cabin was stocked with all the extras you'd need for a small fee, without the hassle of driving all the way back to the city for a toothbrush or sunscreen or whatever, like hotels have available. The cabin also had labels and instructions throughout to make it easy to find everything. It was awesome and very thoughtfully done. We have stayed at many VRBOs/AirBnBs over the years and this cabin was a gem. We would go back in a heartbeat and would recommend it fully. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Perfect for change of scenery
House is as advertised but better because items it says may/may not be there were actually in abundance. Great star gazing, close to Robie Creek St Park for swimming, rural and secluded but only an hour from Boise. Perfect!

Boise Cabin Retreat
My husband and I spent the weekend at this Cabin Retreat property. We really enjoyed the cabin itself. The remodeling was very nice, especially the master bath. The only downside for us was that we really wanted to do some hiking and getting around the roads to those trailheads was really challenging. I have a Bronco Sport with AWD, which was ok, but still was a bit concerned on some of the paths. We ventured down to the beach area one day which was nice and a big draw apparently for paddleboarders. We did manage to get onto a 9 mile hike to the ridge. Overall we were satisfied with our stay. We only really wanted 2 days (Friday and Saturday) so we could get back to our Boise location for work on Monday am, but minimum stay was 3 nights. Jared was very nice to work with and provided a great level of detail on getting there and what to expect.

A True Retreat
What a wonderful place Shattuck Retreat was! I absolutely loved it. This was a solo trip but I hope to get family together to come there w me next year as it can easily and comfortably host several guests. The house/cabin is clearly new as everything was in excellent shape and such nice touches everywhere. Incredible shower in master bath and bed very comfortable. Very clean and huge kitchen. Loved the "backyard" w the grills and large table and lots of chairs. You can sit back there and look out over the woods below which I did every morning while enjoying my coffee. Each day I set out and explored the beautiful scenic byways, did some hiking, and enjoyed the Boise Natl Forest, Challis Natl Forest, The Sawtooths and the Frank Church River Of No Return Wilderness (how can you not love that name?). Caught native trout in the area as well. Don't miss out on Stanley if you can help it - what breathtaking scenery and some beautiful lakes. I feel blessed to have found Shattuck Retreat and look forward to returning!

Great remote cabin
This cabin is clean, well cared for and has everything you might need once you actually get there! The experience with Jared the property manager was seamless as he promptly committed all expectations and answered questions. The beds, linens, furnishings, everything was great. If you want quiet and privacy you will certainly get that here. The cabin is remote, almost an hour from Boise. The roads for the last 7 miles were drivable by car but are in very rough condition and arriving in the dark would be difficult as road signs are challenging to read first time through. Overall, the cabin its self is awesome but we would think twice about staying here because of the drive.

Great retreat!
We really enjoyed our time at Shattuck Mtn Retreat! Very relaxing and awesome to see the Elk, Wild Turkeys AND we had a black bear come in the first night and climbed the tree with the corn feeder in it. The outside game cameras were great to see when the animals came in to eat! We are from Idaho but live in Phoenix now and are familiar with driving Idaho back roads and the roads to get there are pretty bad in places. It's a plus to have a vehicle with good tires and clearance and be patient and slow the last few miles. Jared the host was very accommodating and helpful with anything we needed. We will be back! Get away! But not all the way away!!
From check in to check out. The stay was amazing, their is no cell service until you get to the house. And I have T-Mobile. And I was able to get on my own internet during our stay so I didn’t even need theirs. Everything was made super simple. And had I had forgot anything they had little extras you could purchase. Try to get to this place when it’s light out. And use his instructions and you’ll be just fine Mapquest had me turned around a couple times, but it was a fun little adventure trying to find the house. We will DEFINITELY Return. I really can’t say enough. This has been one of my all time favorite stays!!
