Very good

Property is dated and dowdy but having said that it is fully equipped with all one could need, 1st rate AC control unit, good shower, thoughtfully owners have left all previous renters spices, condiments etc. Gin and Tonic on the back deck overlooking the lake, wonderful place to stay. Owner responsive to a couple of minor niggles, all very satisfactory.
Stay was comfortable. Loved seeing all the natural wild life!

Overall It was OK
The first impression was not as good as when days passed. It was clean but not neat. The pool is useless not clean. But our employees go there just to sleep and cook some dinner maybe... so it was OK.
We had a great time here. The house is very inviting. We had no problem making ourselves at home. The location is perfect when coming to Tampa. I loved the view from the deck. I could of watched the wildlife for hours. If we stay in Tampa again I will definitely be booking here again.
Comfortable. Convenient (our son lives less than two miles away.) The lake is lovely to view while having coffee or reading outside. There clearly has been a bug problem there and the owner had clearly had an exterminator in before we arrived. However, we stayed for five weeks and by the end of the fifth week bugs were appearing in one of the bathrooms. I’ve told the owner that we’d love to stay there again but would insist that an exterminator come while we are there if our stay is longer than four weeks.

Disappointed
Good afternoon . I wanted to let you know that we will be leaving today. We ended up renting a hotel for the remainder of our vacation.
I know we are paid until Tuesday but honestly we are very disappointed with the house. The house itself is cute but there are bugs everywhere, counters, dressers, etc…. Plus large water bugs we keep finding randomly around the house. My kids are freaking out including myself.
We have to leave everything inside the fridge so no bugs crawl into anything. We also have to keep our clothes in bags. The bed pillows are so old and yellow. The shower curtain is so disgusting.
It’s obvious that mostly anything in the house was from the dollar store but even if that’s true - things should be replaced or provided. The cheese grater is so rusty I didn’t dare even try to touch the toaster.
The kitchen accessories are extremely poor. There are empty cabinets with broken kitchen tools, an entire cabinet with only covers to plastic $ store Tupperware’s, rusted kitchen gadgets, the water dispenser from the fridge is “green molded.” Would have been nice if there was a sign saying do not use.
Also There is only “one” pot. Not even a small pot to boil water? So anything that has to be cooked needed to be done one at a time. No bowls etc to serve a dinner…. And whatever is here is broken.
And my kids found a rusty nail in your pool.
The canoes / which we didn’t touch absolutely did not look like they were in working order. I would definitely not risk putting my kids in them.
We left your home in excellent condition & placed all the dirty towels inside the laundry basket on the washer. The house temp we set to 78. And We never used the middle room. The right thing would be to refund a portion of my stay.
But we will see how that turns out.
And NO REPLY 5 days later.
We all enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. We met the neighbor next door he was mowing his lawn, he was very nice and so helpful. The house is a charming little home that is a bit older but perfect for us. The owners are awesome and responded very quickly to my texts. The only things we found wrong was an open chip bag with chips in a drawer in the kids room and hair in the shower. I messaged the owner and she was fantastic. She took the information and was very sweet in her response and very positive. I hope to visit again and when I do, this is the place I want to stay.
