The wing of the house is a 2 bedroom with a kitchenette as you enter with an apartment size refrigerator, microwave and stove. The house is decorated with a country feel. A twin day bed is in the main bedroom, along with a queen size bed. In the other room is a full futon and a table and chairs. This is a peaceful quiet area. The driveway is 1/4 mile sand road with a automatic gate and gives much privacy, yet we are less than 2 miles from 75. There are stalls available for rent if you want to bring your 4 legged friends. Pets are welcome with a $50 pet fee. Pets are required to be leashed ad poop picked up. There are 3 rental units on the farm, different sizes to meet you needs. All my listings are pet friendly and regretfully they have hair. I work VERY hard to make sure there is no hair left from the previous pet but it is almost impossible to have no hair. I no longer allow pets on the beds but hair gets everywhere.

Short and to the point. I left after the eighth day of a planned month booking and took the financial loss. Horse's are nice but living quarters leave much to be desired and to have one decent chair to sit in would have been a start. Pricewise far nicer places available.
The overall stay, Was outstanding, Process of booking was very easy. Those were some of the best nights of sleeping. Peace & Quiet, Looking forward to the next visit
The property is on a working farm. There are acres of horse pasture and moss hanging trees. It is easy to find from the interstate, which was nice after driving all day to get there. Centrally located for all kinds of activities, we went kayaking and to the beach on the gulf side. As it was bad weather for a couple of days there, we also visited Mount Dora, and the owner, Sherri, told us of several other things to do. We chose the Natural History Museum on U of F campus in Gainesville. The property itself was clean and had a nice shower, a table outside that we used every day to wind down from the days adventures. There is a very friendly dog that comes to visit. She keeps her distance, but will let you pet her if you want to.
My family lives in Reddick Florida so this was a very convenient location. We left early in the morning and came home late in the evening so this was a perfect place to stay. It was cold yet. Our place was warm and cozy. It was the right price and just what we needed.
Thanks to Sherri, Karma, Blue, Walter, Romancer, May, Gisella, Margay and Nellie for the wonderful stay!
Sherri's farm is a safe, peaceful place to rest, relax, and enjoy the animals. It is a working farm, so there are farm noises, farm smells, and animals big and small. For me this was a slice of heaven. I grew up living in Maine, and the wide open fields, "big" sky, and horses galore made this stay memorable!
I would heartily recommend, and would definitely love to book
The owner Sherri, was and is very accommodating! Our stay was extremely comfortable. The view of her horses out our door and windows was an added bonus!!!

Hello, and welcome to my short term rentals! I'm Sherri.
I'm a competitive show-jumper who relocated from Pennsylvania about 14 years ago. Here in Ocala, I train and board horses and enjoy the rich horse culture of north-central Florida. I also enjoy the weather. I do not miss those Pennsylvania winters.
I created my short term rentals for people like me — people who love horses or even just the great weather and a relaxed lifestyle.
Again, welcome! I hope you'll stay!
Why they chose this property
This is a beautiful farm right in the middle of horse country yet close to many amenities. WE are 6 miles from WEC and 8 miles from HITS. Close to food shopping and restaurants. The apartment is located on a farm with all the good and bad about farm life. There are horses on both sides of the 1/4 mile drive. but that comes with some smells and dust. If you are sensitive to smells this might not be the place for you. It is less than 2 miles from Route 75 and close to HIT, WEC & Chi institute. Guests have quiet, peaceful seclusion while just 2 miles from 75. The property which is naturally landscaped with massive pine and oak trees, is quiet and peaceful
What makes this property unique
Ocala is known for its horse farms and a whole lot more.
When you stay at my house, you're a short drive from great hiking and bicycling trails. And not all tweeting happens online -- we have great birdwatching here in Ocala. Lower your binoculars a little and you might see otters and turtles or foxes and deer.
In nearby Silver Springs State Park, you can float downriver on a tube and take in the magnificent surroundings or look under the water on a leisurely ride in a glass-bottom boat. Visitors looking for a little workout can try the kayaking or canoeing.
If you get your thrills in the air, our local zip lines are just a couple miles away. Or if you prefer the water, go snorkling with the manatees off the coast just west of Ocala.
And of course the internationally renowned World Equestrian Center is here, just a 10-minute drive down the road.
Whether you're visiting Ocala to relax or to seek new adventures, my house is the perfect place to start and end each day.
