Beautiful House with fantastic view on Clew Bay

Thé House is Big , very clean and well equiped, Thé Sea is at 150 m with a small wild private beach

Great house. Great location

Overall great house for family of 6. Location was great proximity to beaches (silver strand fantastic beach), Achill island, greenway, croagh Patrick and Westport..... We had a ball. Weather was fantastic while we were there. My only small complaint was kitchen could’ve been better equipped with plates and various glasses and outdoor dining table and chairs. We would definitely go back. Thank you.

The house

The house is beautiful with amazing views - however the kitchen felt very sparse in terms of crockery and cooking equipment. There were very few glasses and we had to keep washing them to re use. It could be argued that 6 was enough, but they were small and not enough to meet our needs. The living room should seat 6 , but doesn’t - 3 of us squashed onto a couch and the other on a chair. As there were just 4 of us, we managed, but there would be nowhere for another 2 to sit. The TV is very small for the size of the room and we missed the internet. Ireland is very modern now and that’s what we would have liked- if I wanted a cottage with mismatched crockery etc, I would have booked that kind of accommodation. So much potential to make this house more comfortable for guests as the house is beautiful and spacious. We enjoyed the visit as we visited family and it’s in an ideal location between Louisbourgh and Westport. Just 5 mins from Old Head and the Reek.

Comfortable cottage in a lovely location

Beautiful scenic location looking across Clew Bay. Comfortable, spacious and well-equipped cottage.. Quick response from owner to any queries. Good base for climbing Croagh Patrick, exploring Westport or nearby beaches - we particularly liked Carrowmore Beach just north of Louisburgh but there are several lovely beaches nearby.

Tolles Haus am Meer

Wir haben den Urlaub in diesem Haus sehr genossen. Es bietet viel Platz für eine fünfköpfige Familie und ist mit allem Nötigen gut ausgestattet. Aus den Fenstern nach Norden hat man Meerblick. Und das Beste: man muss nur die Schafweide überqueren und ist am Strand! Das ist zwar kein reiner Sandstrand, bietet aber mit den Felsen direkt am Wasser viel Abwechslung und Spielmöglichkeiten für die Kinder. Außerdem hatten wir den Stand quasi für uns. Wir können das Haus absolut empfehlen. Es gab nur ein paar Kleinigkeiten, die verbesserungswürdig sind. So ließ sich z.B. der Schlüssel für die Haustür nur schwer bedienen, manchmal mussten wir den Hintereingang benutzen.

Get away to Clew Bay

Teach Ban is a beautifully-cottage overlooking Clew Bay. It is peaceful and secluded but close to Louisburgh (5K) and Westport (15K). We loved Old Head SUP, which offers paddleboarding and kayaking and was less than a 5 minute drive. The cafe in the Old Head holiday home site is a find and provides bistro-quality food.

Family vacation

The location and house are both beautiful with ocean views from many rooms. All the rooms were clean and comfortable. Not great cell service due to the location and no wifi service which made uploading Covid testing and flight check in an issue. Fortunately we have family in the area to use their wifi. The directions on Google maps take you into the town and it would be helpful to give guests the house ID so that it would come up on google maps.

What a spot

Teach Ban is a fantastic house with everything needed for a family stay. The uniterrupted views of the ocean are amazing, so peaceful. You can get access to a lovely cove across the field at the end of the garden. Location is great for Craogh Patrick, Westport and Clare Island trips and the local town of Louisburgh has lovely spots to eat. There are lots of great beaches within minutes drive also. I highly recommend this place Anne is fantastic to deal with . I will definitely be back

Teach Bann, Louisburgh, Westport

House was perfect - so clean and airy. Everything we needed to stay with our teenage children was here. The host was super helpful and easy to contact. The location was stunning - with a quiet beach just a stroll across the adjacent field. The buzz of Westport was just a short drive away and the bigger Old Head beach was just 5 minutes drive up the road. What a great holiday - we will be back!

Great house in a great location with breathtaking views as the name suggests. House is kitted out to a very high specification and was spotless on arrival. Great communication with Anne and Catherine too. Highly recommended.

Breathtaking views over the Sea

The views from this property are stunning. Property was clean and nicely presented, and spacious. Location is nice and quiet with a short walk through a field to the sea. You are very close to the beautiful child friendly beach of Old Head, and a short drive to many other beaches. Not far from Westport (15min drive), and Louisburgh is just up the road. There is no WIFI, but this forced us to relax a bit more! Super communication throughout, and great support when we arrived at the house. Would certainly re-visit this spot!

Peaceful

Great property and location, with beach just a short walk over the field. Only criticism might be the lack of lounge seating for the maximum number of adults as there was only one chair and one 2/3 seat settee. Apart from this everything else was good.
