The Space:
Brevity is wit, as they say. And this one allows us to be brief. It's the lower level of a (2) level building of simple, 19th century design. It's been renovated to modern perfection, but still retains that certain charm. Enter through the front door after parking on the quiet street, using the private electronic key-code provided at checking. You'll enter into a warm, welcoming space featuring an open-design concept perfect for relaxing and entertaining. There's a sense of quality and care here—the surfaces are of granite and hardwood, tile and stainless steel. The kitchen is a welcoming space, ready for your culinary creations. There's dining space for 4 at the table, and 2 more at the counter. There's also a full laundry for guest use inside the closet in the kitchen.

Back further into the unit are the two bedrooms, each featuring queen comfort and quality linens, professionally laundered. Both are serviced by a single bathroom—white and clean and classic and ready for business. This home is managed and cleaned professionally and at times you'll feel like you're in a luxury hotel with the details and the evident sense of care, everywhere. Comfortable, modern updates in a classical facade, and located central to all of the Colorado Springs goodness that makes the area such a unique place to visit—this one might just be perfect for you. Guest Access:
The home is completely separate and private to you. Long-Term Renters live upstairs and have a separate entrance.

The Neighborhood:
Old Colorado City, located on the west side of Colorado Springs, offers exceptional amenities to travelers and guests to the Pikes Peak Region. This historic area is almost urban in its appeal, with original artisan shops, galleries, locally-owned restaurants, cafés, bars and more. There are parks in abundance, events in abundance and charm and character here, overflowing. The outdoor recreational opportunities in this neighborhood are nothing less than exceptional. Garden of the Gods is right up the road. Pikes Peak, "America's Mountain," is also just up the street. Manitou Springs, Red Rocks Open Space, The Stratton Open Space, Cheyenne Cañon, the Broadmoor & The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo are all less than a ten-minute drive from this location. Downtown Colorado Springs, too, is just a five minute drive to the east. Whatever your desire—outdoor or indoor, natural or built—Old Colorado City is central to it all.

Getting Around:
Although there are plenty of restaurants, bars, cafés, shops, breweries and outdoor recreational opportunities close to this property (within walking distance), we recommend that you have a car or use Uber or Lyft when traveling in the Pikes Peak Region. We're happy to provide bus schedules and maps too if you'd like to use public transportation.

- No smoking or vaping (of any kind) is allowed indoors;
* Garbage bins are located in the back alley.
* Baseboard heating is a backup only. It's very inefficient and dry heat. Please leave at 55 degrees.
* The Heat/AC temperature is controlled off of the Mini Split on the living room wall. USE THE REMOTE + WALL UNIT

- We cannot guarantee an early check-in, as we need time to make sure this property is perfect for you before your stay! Please check with us on the day of your arrival to see if the property will be ready early. Thank you for your understanding.
- Late Checkout Service: $25/hr (Late as 12 pm)

Non-Refundable Damage Deposit Waiver:
- Instead of charging a security deposit, We charge a non-refundable damage waiver fee (See Rental Agreement for a detailed breakdown of our guest fees) that covers up to $2,500 for damage to real or personal property of the vacation rental property as a result of your acts or omissions. Please see house rules or the rental property agreement when you book for more information about how the damage waiver works. Because the damage waver fee is Non-Refundable; If a Guest changes properties for any reason they May be charged a new damage waver fee for the new property at the discretion of the property Manager.

Please be advised that we ask all guests to complete our secure, online guest verification portal after your reservation is created. Similar to hotels requiring photo ID upon check-in, we ask that guests provide a copy of their Government Issued ID, matching selfie and credit card to verify identity. This is used to prevent fraudulent reservations, identity verification and for the safety of all guests and homes. We take data security very seriously. All information entered into this form is encrypted and transmitted securely over SSL.

Quiet Sanctuary

My husband and I, along with our adult son, spent a week at this property. I was a little wary at first that there would be long term tenants in the unit above, but there was absolutely no issues with the neighbors. They were quiet and never disturbed us. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. It was centrally located with easy access to Old Colorado City, Manitou Springs and downtown Colorado Springs, not to mention my happy place: Garden of the Gods. The house itself was perfect for our needs, a place to relax after a long day of sight-seeing. Very clean, well appointed and well kept. The host company was very friendly and easy to communicate with through email. We have family there and plan to keep this property in mind for our next trip!

Great vaca spot!

Everything about this place is wonderful! The location is within 10 to 15 minutes from the majority of the sightseeing that we wanted to do such as Garden of the gods and seven falls. Very clean and nice home to stay in. Beds were very comfortable. Overall a great place!

Great location, walking distance to coffee shop, brewery, & restaurants. Easy access to hiking trails. Nice comfortable beds & furnishings. Only negative it is ground floor apartment & the full time tenant above gets up at 6am for work. Otherwise very clean & nice.

Dirty! Dirty! Dirty! Contacted Ryan several times with no resolution. Air Force parents beware! This is a dirty party house. NOT a family get away. We spent the first 2 hours cleaning. Owners did not care.

Not what we expected

Scary neighborhood, lots of homeless. The house next door had a homeless person hanging out on the front porch. Yard has not been taken care of, weeds 2 ft tall. The house was not clean. The carpet and rugs were filthy, hair on the bathroom walls and floor. The screws on the laundry closet door were falling out along with curtains hooks in the bedrooms. The upstairs tenant walked around all night. Internet did not work.

Perfect spot for a getaway

This house met all of our expectations. We loved it. The neighborhood was quiet, safe and so close to the fun places we wanted to go to. The house was very clean and comfortable. You will hear the upstairs neighbor walking around but otherwise it is very private. We would stay here again and highly recommend it.

First timer

For my daughters high school graduation she wanted a trip rather then a graduation party so we decided to drive out to see the mountains for the first time. We had a busy trip planned and the location here was perfect for everything we wanted to do. After a long day of hiking it was to come to game with amenities like running water and even the tv. Love this stay!

This VRBO was exactly the way the pictures showed. Great space for 4! Driving distance to everything we wanted to do, and short distances to the grocery store if needed. Old Colorado City boutique shops were fun also. Note: If you are a light sleeper then you can hear the tenant upstairs walking around at times. Nothing bad to say at all. Loved this stay!!

Cozy stay in an excellent location

The apartment was well outfitted with all the necessities from kitchen to laundry, which made the stay a breeze during our week long visit. Stylish and clean would best describe the apartment, with quit and central best describing the neighborhood. The location is perfect, within minutes to sites, food and shopping. I would definitely stay again and would recommend others do the same.
