The property is so quiet and beautiful. We enjoyed himing on the nearby trails. The cabin was great and had everything we needed. The manager wS communicative and understanding.
The cabin had a nice view and was very cozy w the wood stove. I was expecting a bit more based on the price (essentially 400/night w all taxes and fees). The kitchen and bathroom situation need some work. The grounds were ok- a lot of delapidated buildings and such. There were a bunch of chickens/roosters in make shift cages in an old barn which was a little disturbing. They were relatively attentive and have a great dog that will hang out w you.
Very quiet and peaceful environment in the middle of the mountains, owner has 2 best dogs that are well trained, people super friendly, super helpful and super intelligent, and me and my wife could never forget those 2 human friends . We recommend this place to everyone .
Our holiday weekend at the ranch was wonderful!! Upon arrival, Evan was very helpful and informative and made us feel right at home! My husband broke his eye glasses and Evan immediately came with glue and duct tape to save the day! The horseback riding experience was phenomenal! Liebert took us on a mountain trail that brought us out onto a beautiful vista of the Blue Ridge Mountains! My only feedback would be that before coming I thought the cabin on the front of the VRBO was the one we were staying in and that the horses would be closer to our cabin. It's a 15 minute drive to the other side of the property to the horse barn but what an extraordinary mountaintop ranch!! It is breath taking!!! Thank you for a wonderful weekend of great memories!!!
Cabin was cute and rustic. The hostess Jess was super nice and the working horse farm was beautiful. FYI- there were a few issues. Cabin was not very clean and had a few safety issues (splinters and rusty nails). Also was not told there was a neighbor downstairs which felt a little weird to discover that a man was staying in the basement apartment. 3 stars overall.
My friends and I booked this for a weekend trip. The property is fantastic! The road up the hill is steep, so having a car with some clearance is recommended, although I did make it up the mountain in a Camry. The host was terrific and very great at communicating. The town nearby (Elkton) has a great brewery that is def recommended.
We had a such a great time - what a beautiful ranch - our cabin was just perfect, rustic but comfortable! We enjoyed all the hiking opportunities and the horses!!!
Staying in your own cabin on this beautiful mountain is a priceless experience. My dog and I loved the nearby hiking paths, gorgeous views, and friendly ducks and horses. Thank you!
Rustic cabin with excellent porches for morning, afternoon, and evening views of nature and mountains.

Rustic mountain stay
As expected the cabin is very much
‘In the mountains’ - perfect for getting away from it all. The cabin has all the essentials and is very rustic. The fire pit out among the trees and wildlife was perfect for an evening cooking outside.
Cabin was cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed the rustic feel of the cabin and how clean everything was both inside and out.
We enjoyed the trails, spending time playing board games, and exploring the towns nearby.
Great time just unwinding and spending time together.
Exactly as expected. Warm house in beautiful mountains
House is on a hill so just be careful driving up. I would imagine A/4wd is necessary in inclement weather. Once your up there, plenty of accessible trails to hike/run.
