The *perfect* spot for our eclipse getaway!
We'd been planning a trip to view the total eclipse and thought this spot would be ideal - we were not wrong. The cabin is located in just the right spot, even without the rare astronomical event: far enough away from everything to feel like we were getting a true vacation, close enough to town to make a quick grocery run, and surrounded by plenty of woods and water to entertain our two retrievers with long walks and swims every day. It happened that a major winter storm was predicted on the day we were supposed to check in, and Ronda and Bob graciously accommodated our request to arrive early. Communication was prompt and our hosts were incredibly helpful and understanding throughout our stay (even when we called one night at 8:55 PM with a question about the fireplace). The cabin was spacious and comfortable with everything we needed, and we appreciated the use of the washer and dryer and the cozy fireplace. The propane heater kept everything incredibly warm and toasty and the setting was quiet and peaceful; all of us were very sad to have to leave at the end of our stay (our dogs especially loved running amok in the endless snow, which they didn't have back home). This was a great place to relax, recharge, and we're already planning a return trip. Thank you, Ronda and Bob!

Apres Hike Heaven
This was such a lovely cabin in the perfect spot. It was wonderful to come back to after a long day on the trails. It was the perfect mix of comfort and the great outdoors. We spent our evenings around the fire pit and grilled our dinners. The kitchen was well stocked to cook a big family meal or camp breakfast. Our bed was comfortable and the linens were good quality. When we did not want to cook, the owner was great with dinner recommendations. All in all, we (including our dogs) loved this place and will be back again next fall.

My husband and I are native "mainahs". We moved to Greenville in the winter of 2019 after falling in love with this property. We have owned and operated our own business for many years, and the thought of doing that in paradise was all the lure we needed. We enjoy helping others discover and enjoy all that our region has to offer. We look forward to meeting you soon!

Why they chose this property

We have spent time in this area all our lives and always dreamed of living here. We came up looking for a camp, and were shocked when we found this property and decided to purchase is and move full time. The beauty and serenity of this region are a welcome change form the hustle and bustle of city life. We get a thrill everyday listening to loons, seeing a moose or any of the wildlife that is prevalent in this area. We truly feel blessed to be able to build a like and make a living here.

What makes this property unique

We had never been to Wilson Pond before viewing the property. We were both stunned by the serenity and beauty of the lake. To walk out your door and enjoy this every day is truly a blessing.
