Great for budget-minded travel

Overall great stay. Lots of towels and linens, but kids have to be happy sleeping on couches. A/C at hotel next door is a noise problem for the whole building but one learns to tune it out. Choice of 2 amazing beaches for swimming and a great pool. Good restaurant, small grocery mart, and easy access to bus either to PV or to beaches further south.

Absolutely wonderful

The property is gorgeous - studio is moderately small but we’ll designed and has everything you need - well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, great aC, convenience store on site, pool and the best ocean view in all of Vallarta. We’ve been coming to PV for 30 years and have stayed at this property twice and will stay here again if it’s available! Bus stops right outside for easy trip to the Romantic Zone. The restraint is good and right on the ocean. Love everything about it. Owners helpful and quick to communicate. Thank you for a great week.

Nice stay

Everything went well. The on-site restaurant was pretty good. Happy hour drinks 6-7 pm every night. Delicious margaritas. The beach to either side of the property was nice. Easy bus ride to town for 10 pesos per person with pick up directly across from the condo. Condo is not stocked with coffee, drinking water or extra roll of toilet paper. Coffee maker in room is a coffee pot - not Keurig. Not sure if previous guests left coffee filters or not. . On-site store closes at 9 pm so would recommend buying water elsewhere if arriving late. Owner was very responsive to questions.

Would Stay Again!

First of all, the owner has three condos on different floors of this building, but I assume they all have awesome balconies overlooking the ocean like the one I was just in--on the 3rd floor, and close to the hotel next to this building--for two nights! I had read a review about A/C noise from next door, so I was concerned. It seems to be a blessing and a curse: the noise drowns out the traffic noise, but also lightly deafens the sound of the waves that I love so much. One added bonus that the listing doesn't mention (that I saw) is that there is a fitness room, very basic, but I was stoked to discover and use it! The condo is basic and fine, clean except for what looked like clipped nose hairs around the bathroom sink and long hairs in the tub. Plan on buying your own paper towels and dish soap (really?)

Watch whales from balcony

We can recommend this studio unit. It has excellent beds plus 2 sofas & a good array of appliances & utensils. We ate our meals on the balcony & enjoyed the ocean view. Some noise from hotel AC next door; we gradually got used to it.

Gira Sol Condominiums

I will start with the positives. Grocery store, restaurant, bar and easy beach access. Bus and taxi access very affordable. Negatives: people were having pool boys save seats in the early a.m. and not show up until 2. (Policy clearly states otherwise) pool deck, chairs etc need power washed every day. Lots of bird droppings everywhere. Room was decent but dusty(the ceiling fan is especially bad) and it could use some updating. Also experienced gate hoppers so security there is an issue. One person that came in from elsewhere told us other places gave out our code to get in. Bring your own beach chairs etc not available on property to use at beaches. I would go there again very relaxing atmosphere. Front desk staff was very helpful!

Very Well. Liked the building alot and the pool also the Beach.

Great area in Puerto Vallarta

We enjoyed our stay at Girasol sur. The property was as described and we learned how to use the bus system to get to other places around. We wished that the beach was longer for our morning walks or have sidewalks on the road. Other than that, everything was great. Thank you !
