Property's location relative to Keikyu-Kamata station was key in the decision to stay at this property, to ensure easy access to Tokyo-Haneda airport. Also worked well to explore the area served by the JR line through Kamata Station. Traveling with a family of four in Japan can be a challenge, as most facilities and hotels are geared towards groups of 3 or less. Vacation Inn Kamata solved this problem for us. The room we had - 501a was sufficient for our needs. However, access from the living area to the sleeping area was by means of a very steep staircase with small steps. I would not recommend this room for people traveling with small children, elderly, or physical challenged individuals because of this. Luckily, this did not negatively impact our stay.
The apartment is very neat and clean. A bit small for 5 people to get together in the lower level living room. But my kids stayed in the upper level most of the time, so it worked out well. The location is awesome! Keikyu Kamata and JR Kamata are close enough to reach by walking. And, there are stores, supermarkets, and restaurants near by, so you will have no problem finding something to eat. We never used kitchen appliances because of that.
I love this place and would definitely stay there again!
