The Owl is one of Valley Springs Lodgings 4 cabins located on the hillside overlooking the Lake below. Valley Springs has a total of 8 cabins on 122 acres with a small lake, 3 small ponds, roaring creeks and a waterfall. You will feel remote but will only be minutes away from Clayton, Ga with its trendy shops and wonderful restaurants. Our cozy cabin has 1 bedroom with a queen bed and closet, 1 bath with shower and a kitchenette equipped with a mini frig, Mr Coffee coffee pot, microwave, toaster oven, 2 burner hot plate, dishes and utensils. Towels and washcloths are provided along with toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing liquid, bath and hand soap and complimentary coffee, filters and condiments. A propane grill with propane included and 2 rocking chairs await you on the front porch. Our knotty pine walls add to the rustic cabin atmosphere. A large screen TV with Dish Satellite is included. The cabin is air conditioned and has gas heat wall units. We do offer Wi-fi at no additional charge. The Wi-fi is spotty at times at Valley Springs. The Wi-fi at Valley Springs has the maximum speed for this area which is 3 Mbps. This is a common occurrence at many locations in the mountains. Some of our guests can text only from Valley Springs.
Come relax, rest, and rejuvenate on our oasis of peace and serenity listening to the music of the rippling creek; on the porch or on the swings by the lake, picnic at the beautiful waterfalls, or hike our 122 pristine acres. You may also want to explore the many activities of the surrounding areas from antique shopping in Dillard, Georgia, outdoor flea market in Rabun Gap (seasonal) and Clayton indoor all year flea market, local wineries located in Rabun Gap and Tiger Georgia, whitewater rafting at nearby Longcreek, SC, ziplines at Scaly Mountain, hiking two state parks Tallulah Falls and Black Rock Mountain, a multitude of waterfalls spread out over the entire county or you may want to visit one of several pristine Lakes located in the county. At Lake Rabun and Lake Burton you can rent boats/pontoon boats daily. Both of these lakes have public beaches for you and your family to enjoy. Restrooms are at the beach locations and public picnic tables so you can plan a delightful day. Terrora Park at Tallulah Falls is another beach and picnic location. Kayaking is popular at all of these locations.
