Tree Top Haven is nestled on a hillside overlooking Valley Springs Lodging lake. The gorgeous mountain views will transport you into a state of peace and tranquility. Two rocking chairs on the covered front porch beckon you to come sit awhile, close your eyes, and hear the roar of the nearby creek. We promise you will not be disappointed with the peace and serenity of the surrounding 122 acres. A propane grill with propane included completes this perfect little porch. Our 1 bedroom mountain cabin with knotty pine walls add to the cabins unique ambience. We often refer to Tree Top Haven as our “Love Nest”. We have had many proposals happen in this unique setting, couples have celebrated anniversaries, and honeymoons too. Tree Top is equipped with all of your essentials including a mini frig, coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, 2 burner hot plate, dishes and utensils. A large screen TV with DVD player and Dish Satellite is included. Wi-Fi is available on the property and is not always reliable as with many locations in the mountains. The Wi-fi at Valley Springs has the maximum speed for this area which is 3 Mbps.
There are many activities in Rabun County. Trendy downtown Clayton is full of unique locally owned businesses and wonderful restaurants. Rabun County has two wine Vineyards, one in Tiger and one in Rabun Gap. These Vineyards have events on week-ends. We also have a distillery in Dillard and one in Clayton, Georgia. Rabun County is home to two State Parks, Tallulah Gorge and Black Rock Mountain, with numerous hiking trails for the outdoor enthusiasts. Rabun is also home to several pristine Georgia Power controlled lakes. Lake Rabun and Lake Burton offer boat and pontoon boat rentals. Each have a public beach with bathroom facilities and picnic areas. Tallulah Falls also has a public park with restrooms and picnic areas. Kayaking is allowed at these locations. Rabun County also has two Flea Markets, whitewater rafting at nearby Longcreek, SC, Ziplines at Scaly Mountain, and a multitude of waterfalls to enjoy. Of course, if relaxation is your goal or at the end of a busy day exploring, you can always return to your cabin and drift away on our oasis of peace and serenity.
