Cleaning is done before & after you leave but a broom, mop, vacuum & cleaning supplies are in the home for your quick clean ups. Among the various trees & seasonal flowers and under the open sky sits a cozy, quiet, serene cottage on top of Huckleberry Mountain with a large front porch & plenty of sitting space. 3.6 acres to walk around or just sit and observe occasional wildlife wandering through the open field including birds, squirrels, deer, raccoons, opossums, fox & seasonal bears.
Home is 1400 Square feet & has an open floor plan with a cheery combined living/dining/kitchen that seats 4 at the table & 2 at the bar & there’s a 65” smart tv in front of the double recliner couch. There are plenty of kitchen utensils for 6 adults & 2 children, books & high chair, (toddler cot or portable crib available upon request).
Handicap accessible doors on bathrooms & bedroom & the accommodations include a queen bed, dresser, 2 mirrored 6' closets & the bathroom has a shower with seat, & the washer & dryer is in this bathroom.
Upstairs offers a double recliner couch & 32” smart tv, a full bed, glider, 2 mirrored 5' closets & the bathroom has a shower with seat, storage shelves and table. Home is decorated for spring/summer, 4th of July, fall and Christmas.
Lovely drive to & from home with off & on gravel or pavement with lots of trees to and on top of the mountain--a true getaway at Huckleberry Heaven!
Only 15 minutes to groceries, gas, shopping & eateries. Only 20 minutes to beautiful downtown Hendersonville where streets are covered in flowers spring thru fall and music is in many restaurants. In summer there are free outdoor music events on Main. The Annual Apple Festival on Labor Day weekend closes down all of Main Street where vendors & musicians abound.
It’s about 40 minutes to Asheville's Biltmore House, Grove Park Inn, Asheville Arboretum and more! The state playhouse, The Flat Rock Playhouse & Carl Sandburg’s home are about 25 minutes away.
Many wineries are 20-30 minutes away & most offer free music venues &/or ticketed concerts throughout the year & some offer walking tours, etc.

NO SMOKING inside home. Smoking allowed on porch or outside. NO DRUGS allowed in home or anywhere on property!!! 1 1/2 miles of alternating part paved/part gravel road from the main paved road. A new gas grill is on the spacious front porch. A large fire pit is in the front yard near one of the flower beds. Lots of walking room in the open field or around the top of the mountain. A good time can be had by all time.
